Spifan is the slash ship between Spirou and Fantasio from the Spirou & Fantasio fandom.

Canon[]

Jijé Era (1943-1946)[]

Fantasio first appears in Spirou in 1944. He was reworked to counterbalance Spirou, who was supposed to be a perfect character.

Franquin Era (1946-1969)[]

The first album of Spirou et Fantasio was released in 1950. The two characters became the protagonists of their own adventures. In this era, they are two journalists who live together. Those two things become staples of the series.

Fournier Era (1969-1980)[]

Spirou and Fantasio are modernized, which became a must for each following eras.

Nic & Cauvin Era (1980-1983)[]

This is the only era where Spirou and Fantasio arent' living together.

Tome & Janry Era (1982-1998)[]

Spirou and Fantasio are living together once again. They're depicted arguing with each other like a married couple.

In Vito la déveine, Spirou tries to cheer up Fantasio while an enemy is with them on the boat. Eventually, they both realized who the enemy is :Spirou when he nearly drowns, and Fantasio when Don Cortizone reveals his identity. Fantasio manages to save Spirou and the two stop Don Cortizone's plan. At the end of the album, Fantasio is cheerful while Spirou gets sad.

In La Vallée des bannis, Spirou and Fantasio are stucked in a jungle populated by strange creatures. One of those creatures happens to be a mosquito that makes people insane and blood-thirsty. Fantasio falls victim to it, and Spirou has to keep him under control while trying to find a way out of the jungle.

Morvan & Munuera Era (2004-2007)[]

In the last album of the era, Aux sources du Z, Spirou and Fantasio have to time-travel to stop Zorglub's plan.

Yoann & Velhmann (2010-Present)[]

Spirou wants to retire but is forced to stay as the mascot of the journal he works in. Fantasio tries to cheer him up, but isn't really into adventures himself anymore because of his age.

In La Face Cachée du Z, Fantasio tries to stop militaries from hurting Spirou, who has been turned into a werecreature because of radiations. Fortunately, Spirou does remember who his friends are, just that he acts like a dog.

Supergroom[]

Spirou, who retired, moves in. He learns that the place is about to be bought by a mafia. He decides to investigate by disguising himself as a super-hero, Supergroom (again, because this identity already appeared in two short stories first released in a special for Le Journal de Spirou, and later in Les Folles Aventures de Spirou). Fantasio, (still) unaware of the identity of Supergroom, ends up becoming an even bigger fan. He eventually becomes a super-hero as well (as foreshadowed in the end of the second short story).

Fanon[]

Like many other Franco-Belgian duos, Spirou and Fantasio are shipped together (and even when you don't, you can't help but notice). Some authors even tease that Fantasio has an obvious crush on Spirou. It was the first ship of some people.
