Spinel Diamond is the familyship between Spinel, Yellow, White and Blue Diamond from the Steven Universe fandom.

Steven Universe: The Movie

When Spinel seriously regrets her attempt to kill all life on the Earth just to spite her former best friend Pink Diamond for abandoning her, she rejects Steven's offer to stay on Earth and make new friends, feeling that she needs to start over with someone whom she hadn't hurt. On cue, the Diamonds appear in their giant combining ship, causing Spinel to go into hiding in a panic. As Steven is asking the Diamonds why they came to Earth, Spinel overhears that they wanted to move to the Earth to be close to Steven. But as they notice that Spinel had made a mess of the planet, they are trying to be polite, but Steven really does not care for the idea of living with them. In response, White Diamond tells him how boring it was without him and unsubtly tries to guilt-trip him into visiting as often as possible. Slightly irritated, Steven was just about to tell them that they were interrupting his goodbyes with Spinel, only for him to get an idea and ask if they remember her. White doesn't recognize the name, but Steven asks Spinel in her hiding spot if she had met them before. Spinel confirms that she did, but it was back when she was still innocent, clearly doubting that the Diamonds would like her the way she is now. Steven pulls Spinel into view and introduces her to the Diamonds, Spinel does an awkward salute, bending her joints in humanly impossible ways, but the Diamonds are clearly impressed. Yellow and Blue recognize her as "Pink's little playmate" and "one of Pink's lost treasures" respectively. When Steven reveals that Pink Diamond left her behind in her personal garden where she was doomed to wait in agony for her to return for six-thousand years, Blue Diamond is visibly sympathetic to her. When Spinel shrugs it off and says she could've done that while standing on her hands, Yellow rarely burst into laughter and Blue agrees that Spinel is adorable and reminds her so much of Pink. White clears her throat and tells Steven that they don't want to spend their time on his disgusting planet much longer, so they will just take Spinel with them and Steven can stay on Earth, to Steven and Spinel's pleasant surprise. As the Diamonds serenade Spinel into coming with them, Steven asks if Spinel could handle them, but Spinel is singing along with them about how happy she is to be able to love again. Spinel then echoes their song, to which the Diamonds echo hers until they all sing the same song. As Spinel gives Steven a peace sign to say goodbye, the Diamond ships form a heart as they go back to Homeworld together.

Fanon

Opinions were split in how the conflict of the movie was resolved. In one camp, there were fans who thought Spinel staying with the Diamonds was the best possible solution, with everyone getting something out of it. In the other, fans did not trust the Diamonds to take care of Spinel, with some even suspecting that they would abandon her just like Pink abandoned her.

When the "Homeworld Bound" episode of Steven Universe Future showed that the Diamonds are openly affectionate towards her, some fans were surprised that they actually learned their lesson.

When Rebecca Sugar revealed that Spinels from other courts are completely possible and their gemstone would most likely would be shaped like playing card suits (in contrast to Spinel's heart-shaped gemstone), it caused a lot of fanart for "Blue Spinel", "Yellow Spinel" and "White Spinel" to surface, who often take Spinel's place in AU takes on the movie where one of the other Diamonds is Steven's mother.
