Spive is the femslash ship between Split and Bive from the Regretevator fandom.
Canon[]
Split and Bive are recurring female NPCs in the game Regretevator and will be able to enter the elevator. Whereas Bive can be found in five specific levels (Funny Maze, FNARB, UES, Red Ball Temple, and Jermpop Factory, though only a 50% chance on the latter three cases), Split's spawn can be only found in the floor Splitsville. The two also wear face accessories: Bive has spectacles (which can be interpreted as her eyes too) whereas Split uses brown glasses due to her legal blindness. When the elevator is full, the two always stop in their respective floors, although Bive quickly runs away inside the Funny Maze as she's unable to enter. Split and Bive are also able to leave the elevator on certain floors, like in the minigames Cardboard Mansion, Tumblr Ballpit, Backrooms and Slide 4 Admin. If Split leaves the elevator when arriving to Shop Space to explore it, there's a chance to get a voiceline in which she wonders if she should get something for Bive while there.

They're complete parallels to each other, both in behavior and appearance; full-covered body in black fur Bive's constant paranoia versus the Banana Fruit-taur kind, easy-going personality and pungeon master, Split. Following the puns, Bive tends to make some unintentionally, whereas Split uses to do it very often, as it's part of her character. The lead developer behind Regretevator, Yeuc_c, also confirmed Split and Bive to have feelings for each other[2], but however are not in a relationship according to TheCanvasCreature (Split's designer) on Tumblr.[3] This would change later with Yeuc_c claiming that "spive is canon" on a Twitter post while referencing a Tumblr announcement that he was very serious about it and that they're working on a dialogue for it.[4] It is posible to buy their custom outfits respectively, in order to match the two of the women for either fun or purposefully portray a possible relationship. Despite looks, Bive seemingly has more interactions with other NPCs than Split even if this latter is more sociable, but the difference isn't much. Their relationship is also frequently noticed between NPCs, notably on Wallter's side whom, in one of his interactions with Split, he advises Split to cherish the moments together and take care of one another (reflecting their relationship with his past marriage with Mark), after the banana fruit-taur mentions that Bive seems to be warming up to her.
Bive seems to be quite fond of Split based on their interactions unlike with others', having shared feelings with Split who doesn't mind her presence despite of her personality and the way she acts, plus her constant conspiracy-theorizing (which bothers most of the other NPCs). Split also calls her 'Bivey', which notably surprises the mentioned but doesn't seem to bother her much as she doesn't correct Split. This happens when the latter asks Bive if she can tell her a detective joke, to which she accepts but tells her to make sure nobody is listening because it could be a code. Bive has also the habit of making pun jokes to Split, usually involving her theories and the other woman's personality and appearance. If the player showers Split with a Petal Cone, one of her thoughts is 'I should get some for her..', strongly implied to be Bive as she's the closest NPC to her. Between Split's Idle interactions, she mentions that Bivey had left her radio at her house, and shouts how she's been coming pretty 'frequently'.
Amongst Bive's interactions with Mannequin_Mark, the latter complains about her lack of cleanliness mentioning many flies around her, to which she replies with her usual paranoic behavior about hearing voices from the sewers and how they could be involved in something, to which he replies that he'll had to ask her 'friend' (Split) if she had forgotten to hose her down again.

Fanon[]
Alongside the canonical ship between Wallter and Mannequin_Mark, it's the most popular and confirmed pairing of the Regretevator fandom, being supported by most of the players who spend their time on the minigame and overall Roblox. It has a large following in media like X (Twitter) and Tumblr which portraits close interactions between the two, focusing on the designs' parallels to each other. The ship had been implicitly confirmed after a fan said that Bive needed a girlfriend and the next day the creator had just announced the pairing, though it could be only coincidental.
In-game, most of the players familiarized with the characters will at the majority of the times look for Split and Bive on their respective floors in order to have them in the same elevator so they can share interactions and enjoy the 'Spive girlfriendship'. Sometimes people would also add WallMark too (with the elevator max capacity being 4 NPCs) to have a double date between the canon pairings. People would also joke how Split and Bive learn how to develop a proper relationship in order to not end up like the aforementionted Wallter/Mark, who are divorced due to opposite likings.
There are two tags related to pairings on AO3. The popular one has over 170 (currently 172 at the time of writing) works created, while the other has 6 fan fictions, making it the most written ship in the Regretevator fandom and the seventh most in the Roblox game overall.

- The ship name "Bananatective" comes from their characteristic traits: Split being a Banana Fruit-taur kind and Bive, a self-appointed detective.
- "HairyBanana" has a similar meaning, but the term 'Hairy' comes from Bive, whose character is a black fur covering her whole body.
- The two are shown holding hands in the "Bive and Split in a banana costume" (by Donutt904) sticker.
- They're also together on another sticker which is a reference to two dogs being "Buds" with each other, hence the title of the sticker.
