Splatoon is a third-person shooter video game franchise developed and owned by Nintendo, owning a manga series based off the game.
Plot[]
Splatoon has many modes available, and each of them has a different purpose.
In the game mode Turf War, teams fight to cover the arena in as much ink of their team's color as possible. In the Anarchy/Ranked modes, Splat Zones, Players must control the Splatzone(s) to win. In Tower Control, players must ride the Tower to the finish line. In Rainmaker the player must carry the Rainmaker to the finish line. In Clam Blitz, the player must get the most amount of clams in the other player's clam basket to win.
Players have two main forms and may switch between the two at will: their humanoid form, in which they can use weapons to spread ink and splatter opponents, and their squid form, which they can use to swim through ink at great speed and up walls, recharge the player's ink tank faster (while in their ink) and hide in their team's ink. Players can also utilize sub weapons, and special weapons.
Splatoon also features single-player modes, such as Octo Valley for Splatoon, Octo Canyon for Splatoon 2, the Deepsea Metro for Octo Expansion, the Crater and Alterna for Splatoon 3. These are the story modes of Splatoon.
