Dating Season[]

Sprig gets ambushed by Ivy while travelling the woods, he complements her on it, and she does the same. When Anne asks, Sprig explains they are childhood acquaintances and sparring partners. When Ivy leaves Sprig watches with sparkles in his eyes, and Anne accuses Sprig of having a crush on her.

When asked what they were doing, Anne says Sprig was 'flirting' was Ivy, and Sprig tells her they're only friends. Upon hearing Ivy's name, Hop Pop goes to get a courtship kit for Sprig, Anne follows along saying she will get dating magazines.

Hop Pop suggests Sprig and Ivy do a ceremonial dance in order to be wed, and Sprig reminds him that he and Ivy are only friends, and that he is already engaged to Maddie. Hop Pop tells him to forget Maddie, and insists Sprig and Ivy get married instead. Anne pulls out a magazine and tells Sprig "two-thirds of all soulmates start out as "just friends", which causes Sprig to start considering Ivy as a possible lover.

At the firefly formal, Anne tries to decide a 'ship' name for the two of them, suggesting things like "ivig" and "sprigivy." Sprig and Ivy start awkwardly dancing, Ivy says she didn't know he felt romantic feelings for her, and Sprig confesses he doesn't want to date her. She agrees, and they decide to run off together. Anne, Polly, Felicia, and Hop Pop watch them from afar, and Anne continues to gush over them.

Sprig and Ivy go to watch fireflies together, and she ambushes him once again, they start sparring with each other. When seen again, Ivy tells Sprig about purple fireflies, and he calls it adorable. She turns to his side and smiles at him, which he smiles back with his eyes wide.

When hearing their families are in danger, they both go to save them. They explain to them that they don't want to date each other, the Love Doves appear again, and they fight them off together.

Ivy leaves and waves to Sprig, which he waves back. Anne asks if he had fell in love with her, and he confirms he had.

Croak and Punishment[]

Sprig goes to Anne to explain he got a blue moon shell for Ivy's birthday. When Anne and Sprig return to the shell, it has been stolen. They go around town interrogating people to find out who took it. They return to the house with no results, to find the shell has been returned. They find out Ivy was the thief, and Sprig gives her the shell back telling her it was for her birthday. Ivy thanks him, but places it onto his house instead, saying she'll know she's close to his place when she sees it sparkle. Sprig stumbles over his words, and Anne gushes over them once again. Sprig tells Anne that she didn't just steal the shell, but also his heart.

Anne of the Year[]

Anne is voted for Frog of the Year, and when setting roles for the Plantar family for the party, Anne suggests Sprig confesses to Ivy. Later, Sprig is seen practicing his confession to a fake Ivy, although he fails.

At the party, Sprig comes up to Ivy for the confession, building up confidence to do so. Ivy greets him and he immediately runs away from her.

After the disaster at the party, Anne apologizes to Sprig for pushing too hard to confess, Sprig accepts the apology before Ivy comes up to them and confesses to Sprig instead. She pulls her hat over her head and attempts to walk off, Sprig stopping her and accepts her confession, pulling his own hat over his head. He asks her to dance and she agrees, they run off together.

Season 2[]

The Shut-In![]

Sprig's story for the shut in starts with him and Ivy playing bugball in the woods. Ivy's hat falls off her head and tells Sprig not to look, and they both start blushing. Ivy tells him she hates her hair, and Sprig tells her he likes it, she thanks him and they go search for the bugball they lost. They find a path in the woods and Ivy stops to tell him a spooky story about 'The Seamstress', which scares him.

They go inside a house they find, and Sprig attempts to leave while Ivy reassures him there's probably no one home. Inside the house they continue to search for the ball. After finding the ball, they meet The Seamstress, and fight her together. After losing her, they run off hand in hand, and Sprig tells Ivy she looks good without her hat. Ivy kisses him on the cheek.

After Sprig's story they hear a knock on the door, upon opening it they see Ivy with her head covered to look like The Seamstress. They reveal they were playing a prank in everyone, and before Ivy leaves, Sprig tells her to be careful.

Return to Wartwood[]

Sprig's first priority when returning to Wartwood is finding Ivy, she disguises herself as another frog and ambushes Sprig.

Sprig suggests they lie about not bringing back gifts for everyone, because he's afraid of not giving Ivy a red sun shell he promised for her. Anne agrees, saying she'll do it for "sprivy."

At the welcome back party, Sprig and Ivy are sitting down at a table and are sharing a shake. Sprig tells Ivy about his adventures back in Newtopia, while Ivy listens in awe. She says she is jealous but the sun shell will feel like she was there with them. Sprig tells her it's only a shell and Ivy disagrees, claiming it's their shell and that she is happy Sprig got her one.

Wartwood attempts to fight the Chika-lisk, and it sends Ivy and others flying in the air. Sprig catches her.

All of the fake presents are gone, and Sprig apologizes and confesses he never got her the shell. She tells him it's just a shell and that he can make it up to her by taking her on a date. She gives him a kiss.

Ivy on the Run[]

Sprig is in the woods and practices greeting Ivy, before getting ambushed by her once again. She apologizes for being late and explains it was her mother, Sprig tells her he's sure she has her reasons. Anne and Polly appear and ask if they want to join them, Ivy turns them down and explains her and Sprig are going glitter-bug hunting.

While they are hunting, Ivy asks Sprig to tell her more about his adventures in Newtopia, he lies saying he has friends in every area. Ivy says she wishes she could've came with, and Sprig suggests next time he visits he'll take her. They find a special glitter-bug and combine their nets together to catch it, before Ivy gets called by her mother. As she walks off, Sprig "says she's so cool."

Later, Ivy appears at Sprig's window and suggests they run away together. While running away, Sprig indirectly tells her he was lying about having friends in every area. Before Ivy can respond, her mother calls her again.

After Felicia and Ivy's fight, Sprig stares at them light-heartedly.

Season 3[]

Sprivy[]

Sprig and Ivy are walking hand in hand and find a corpse-maker moth. Sprig explains that people are supposed to kiss when they see one or else their crops will be cursed for seven years. He gives her a kiss and Ivy giggles saying crops are important. The moth attacks Ivy and Sprig scares it off, it crashes and explodes into a heart.

They go back to find no seats are open and attempt to convince people to give up their seats for the both of them. They link arms and strike a pose together. Sasha tells Sprig and Ivy they're needed for a plan and they continue to walk hand in hand, saying they're perfectly in sync.

Sasha explains that Sprig and Stumpy will be in a team and so will Ivy and Fern, Sprig and Ivy gasp and try to convince Sasha to let them stay together. She refuses and they start crying and saying they will miss each other every second.

Sprig and Ivy forge a fake letter from Sasha to get them to team up together, fooling Stumpy and Fern to go along with it. While hopping over a fence together, Sprig gives Ivy a quick kiss. While they wait for the shield to go down, they work on their couple's dance routine.

They finally work with Fern and Stumpy, and they tell each other they'll miss each other so much and they'll count every second they're away. After the mission, Ivy suggests they tone down their relationship a bit, and Sprig agrees.

The Hardest Thing[]

After he timeskip, Ivy ambushes Sprig at the unveiling ceremony, and tells him a new continent has been discovered and if he's ready for a new adventure. He says he's in, and they run off together.

Fanon[]

This section is in need of major improvement. Please help improve this article by editing it.

Sprivy had sailed considering Ivy's first appearance as being a love interest for Sprig. Most fans love Sprivy due to it being a canonical ship and find their young puppy-love cute. Some fans prefer Spraddie instead due to thinking Sprivy is overrated or preferring Maddie over Ivy. Many also criticize it because in their first episode, "Dating Season", they were trying to push the message that you shouldn't force romance onto people who see each other as friends, so having Sprig fall in love with Ivy at the ends ruins the message. In both canon and fanon, Ivy is portrayed as more collected and cool then Sprig, with him being the pining one. This can be considered a subversion of many het ships.

On AO3, the ships has 95+ fanfics, while Fanfiction.net only has five with only three placed under pairing.
