Standessa is the poly ship between Candace Flynn, Stacy Hirano, and Vanessa Doofenshmirtz from the Phineas and Ferb fandom.
Canon[]
Candace Flynn, Stacy Hirano, and Vanessa Doofenshmirtz are three good friends of each others' that met during the summer. Although it's rare to see the three of them in the same room together, they have gotten along as a trio whenever they do cross paths and become a decent friendship. Their collective friendship is scarce in the original series but the reboot has given much more focus to the three of them all hanging out together as a group. Stacy and Vanessa would have otherwise, likely not known each other at all, had it not been for Candace, serving as their mutual friend, bringing them together. They generally tend to do normal teenage girl stuff together like talking about fashion, playing truth or dare, and having slumber parties. Stacy and Vanessa, however tend to run into one major problem with Candace and that's dealing with her urge to bust Phineas and Ferb, always getting in the way of their good time. They try to convince her to forget about this and instead just focus on having fun and hanging out, doing their normal teenage girl things but they pretty much never get through to her on this.
Series[]
The first time the three girls were seen together was in "Drusselsteinoween" from the main series. The three of them went to a Halloween party together and had fun that night. However, their interaction was short-lived with Candace and Vanessa mostly discussing their vampire queen costumes and then Stacy entering and exiting, when she realized that she was wearing the same outfit as Candace and Vanessa.
The 2025 reboot would really deliver on giving us more three-way interactions with the girls, starting with "No Slumber Party", when Candace invited Stacy and Vanessa to her house for a sleepover. The three of them sat around in Candace's room, having some fun but when Candace heard the noises coming from Phineas and Ferb building a sleepover movie theater outside for themselves and the rest of the Backyard Gang, she dead-set on busting them. Stacy and Vanessa didn't want to lose her so they tried luring her away from the window and convinced her to just party with them for the sleepover instead. Their suggestions included giving each other makeovers, playing truth or dare, or, if Candace is really this focused on her brothers, she could prank them by scaring them with monster masks. Vanessa kind of put both of them off, when she suggested they do a seance and confess their deepest, darkest secrets and emotions to each other. However, despite their efforts, Candace was entirely fixated on seizing the night as another vain attempt to bust Phineas and Ferb. Stacy and Vanessa soon gave up on trying to save Candace and just kind of hung out together, before eventually moving down to the backyard to partake in Phineas and Ferb's exciting new invention, having some real sleepover fun with them and their friends.
Fanon[]
As a ship, Standessa is an extremely uncommon throuple, with there existing only one fanfiction about them on AO3. Their friendship is a lot more common among fans, thinking that they work better this way anyway. However, individual ships between each of the two girls are incredibly prominent on pretty much every platform of fandom. Their friendship is occasionally rivaled with Googolplex Girls, which was the original trio of friends that Candace hung out with in the 2007 series. Standessa removes Jenny Brown from the friendship and replaces her with Vanessa. Although some fans don't like how this new ship rejects tradition and kicks Jenny to the curb, other fans prefer this, seeing Jenny as a vanilla character and Vanessa as being so much more cool and dynamic. The song "Ain't No Sleeping at a Slumber Party" is a good ship song for the trio as it highlights everything they'd ideally do together as a friend group or even a polycule.
