Starlight Express ships. This page is for ships with a lack of content, or for ships with minimal interactions. Please add as much content as you can to the sections below. Once a ship meets the requirements, you are welcome to create a page.
The current requirements for ship pages are:
- 20 sentences split between the canon and fanon sections, with content in both sections.
- One minimum link under the fandom section (e.g. AO3 tags, Tumblr links)
Please refrain from adding more than five images to a ship section, and refrain from adding any fan art. If you're unsure if a ship meets the requirements for a page, discuss with a member of our admin team.

BL x Slick is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two not interacting in the show itself. With most shippers having to rely on headcanons and behind the scenes photos to fuel ship content. Its rival ships include Wood Lightning and Arson Girlfriends.
Some fans believe that they may have hooked up at some point prior to the show. Or that Slick did a job for Blue Lightning for some quick cash. Others think they would get together after the events of the show. Becoming familiar with each other by Blue Lightning being with Greaseball when she goes to meet with Slick.

The ship name comes from fans referring to the 2018 revision version of CB as "Break Van", often shortened to BV, and the Rockies being boxcars. CoalWood is a common theory in the StEx fandom. With many fans seeing the two as brothers. Mostly as part of the larger Fuel Siblings ship. The age of the two is often debated. As some fans think that Porter is the oldest while other believe it is Lumber. Some believe that they're twins and often hold the minor difference in age over the other.

Coin Purse is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two not having significant interactions in the show itself. Its rival ships include MoneyGun and Electraboose.
Some fans base the ship around shipping Purse with Caboose using his Post 2018 Bochum revision characterization and motivations. As his primary motivation became money after that point, meaning that he would a common train with Purse. Though since Purse was cut by the time CB had this characterization, fans have to find ways to put them together. Either by putting Purse in Post-2018 StEx or giving pre-2018 StEx CB the post-2018 characterization. Others note the 2017 workshop that did have Purse exist with Caboose having the post-2018 characterization. Giving fans still a source to draw from for inspiration. Some also like to have Purse be someone that works for Caboose or vice versa. Believing they may be a villain power couple behind the scenes.

FrozenTimber is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Fans often like the idea of shipping the fuel trucks with the electrics. Finding the opposing aesthetics appealing given that both sets of trucks are freight. As well as the electrics being silver and blue while the fuel truck have black as a basis with different colors for each of them. This obviously leads to Lumber/Volta as a potential pairing for those that enjoy it, with shippers finding that the two may potentially have enough in common that they could end up liking each other. Its rival ships include Quietwood and Electronents.
Fans of the ship often believe that if the two got together it would have to be a secret relationship. This is due to the belief that both their respective groups would be against the two being together. With the electrics not seeing Lumber as worthy of dating Volta, while the fuel trucks wouldn't understand why Lumber would like an electric. Meaning that the two would have to sneak around to be together, with being varying degrees of successful over hiding their partners.

Ashley and Buffy have never met Tassita, as they never appear in the same productions. Tassita himself was originally created with the intention of replacing Buffy in the show, starting in the 2017 workshop, and later in the Wembley Park production. Tassita taking on their role as Dinah's friend who supports her after her break up with Greaseball. As well as being a specialty train car just like the other two coaches.
Ashley and Buffy for their parts, are best friends. The two having often been seeng together throughout the show. Rarely being without one another unless they were racing.

The main appeal of Tassita being Ashley and Buffy's kid partially comes from Tassita being one of the replacement coaches for the two. Some jokingly like the idea due to believing that two mean gay coaches would inherintly have a "meaner gayer kid". As many fans believe Tassita would be the train equivalent of gay, and that he is harsher and sassier than both Buffy and Ashley. The two coaches already being rather mean and sassy themselves in the original London production. Though this often goes up against the idea of Tassita being the son of OLC Greaseball and Dinah. With the two taking on more of aunt role's to Tassita for those who prefer that idea.
