StarryBlade is the femslash ship between Akali and Seraphine from the League of Legends fandom.
Canon[]
The ship between Seraphine and Akali began in Riot Games’ Musicverse aka Riot Records. An alternate version of Earth where various League of Legends champions are musical artists. In it, Akali is a part of the k-pop group K/DA. And Seraphine is an aspiring popstar who gets a chance to collaborate with K/DA, which enables the two to meet.
Seraphine is initially very nervous to be collaborating with her idols, as stated in her exclusive interview with Inven Global. The stories of the members of K/DA are explored in the comics series K/DA: Harmonies on League of Legends’ universe website. Each issue is focused on the titular character and their journey in life. Except for Issue #1: Akali which focuses on her relationship with Seraphine instead. In this issue, during a break from recording, Akali takes Seraphine on a motorcycle ride and talks with Seraphine about her anxieties from working with K/DA. This is the beginning of Seraphine and Akali’s bond.
Among the K/DA members, Akali is who Seraphine is closest to. This is corroborated by Seraphine herself through her official Twitter account. Such as when she mentions that she missed her practice and kept messing up after spending the night talking with Akali. They are often seen teasing or joking with each other. Such as in the MORE music video where Seraphine mimics Akali, or when Akali ‘hacks’ her Twitter and posts a photo of Seraphine sleeping.
In the base universe, Runeterra, the two have never met.

StarryBlade gained some popularity during K/DA’s comeback in 2020. The ship was fueled by the close bond they showed in the comics and on Twitter. However, due to the backlash towards Seraphine as a champion the ship was abandoned. StarryBlade is currently a rarepair.
After the release of K/DA: Harmonies Issue #1 Seraphine released her cover song for the sapphic song All The Things She Said (by t.A.T.u.). Which led to fans speculating that Seraphine had romantic feelings for Akali.
