- As you continue staring at the trash cans, they seem to turn before your very eyes. The edges are no longer rusty and the dents are smoothed over. From under the lid comes a faint golden glow, sweet and alluring. For a moment, the trash cans turn into treasure chests.
Stelle x Trashcan is the cargo ship between Stelle and a Trashcan from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.
Canon[]
Stelle is a playable character in the game, whilst the trashcan is an intractable item. Her fascination with trash cans was shown before the game's release in the "Space Comedy" trailer, which opens with Stelle looking through a trash can before March drags her away. In game, Stelle can come across multiple Trashcans whilst exploring Jarilo-VI and other places. If Stelle chooses to interact with most Trashcans in Jarilo-VI, she will have interesting different reactions, varying based on how many times the player chooses to interact with it. Interacting with trashcans can lead to Stelle obtaining various items such as consumables. Stelle can also find postcards from the "Garbage King", another trash enthusiast who is opposed to people rooting through the trash cans. After finding the Garbage King's first postcard, Dan Heng comments that Stelle has competition. With Trashcans in the Underworld, the player has the ability to guess how many trashcans there are, if the player chooses to click on those trashcans. The dumpsters in Boulder Town also have a lot of unique interactions.
Stelle is invested in the Trashcan, and struggles to hold back the urge to not open it. After Stelle opens the trashcan, she digs into it, finding so-called treasure at the bottom of it. Stelle looks to the weirded out faces of Dan Heng and March 7th, as they say they understand her urge to look into the trashcan. Stelle obtains a Trashcan after reading all the interactions with her and the trashcan. If the player chooses to interact with the trashcan once again, Stelle will comment on how it's just a trashcan.

Stelle x Trashcan became popular as a crack ship early on the Honkai: Star Rail's release. Surprisingly, the ship has become well known, and there has been a lot of fan art about it. Since the game's release, videos have also started to be created on YouTube, TikTok, and other social medias about this ship. Along with that, there has also been articles about the trashcan and the trailblazer (Both Stelle and Caelus). The ship has a very few amount of fanfictions romantically as of now. It is also commonly preferred to Caelus x Trashcan.
