In the theme song for Total Drama Pahkitew Island, Sugar gets annoyed with Ella's singing and pushes her off a cliff.
SO, UH, THIS IS MY TEAM?
Sugar and Ella were put on the same team together. When the teams decorated their fortress, Ella took out a bucket of glitter to use. Before she could use it, Sugar snatched it out of her hands and demanded that she leave this kind of work to the professionals.
I LOVE YOU, GREASE PIG!
Ella politely held a mirror for Sugar to check herself out in, while she talked to Leonard. Ella sang a song about her awesome teammates, Sugar and Leonard but Sugar got mad at her for this, yelling into her face because she wasn't done talking yet. Ella peeped and covered her mouth, sorry about her mistake. Sugar stated int he confessional that she saw through on to Ella's supposed "good-girl" trick and she suspected that she was an evil woman, deep down. During the challenge, Sugar was hesitant to part ways with her greased pig and pass him on to Ella. Ella didn't want to hurt Sugar's feelings by just taking her pig away so she politely told her that she would just be "piggy-sitting" him or her for a little bit. Ella sang an enchanting song to the grease pig to lure it over her way.
TWINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING
Ella sang a song to Shawn to thank him for bringing fruit to her team. Sugar stuffed a pear into Ella's mouth to shut her up. Sugar also body-shamed Ella by telling her that she looked skinny enough to run through the rain without getting wet. During the water balloon contest, Sugar charged toward Ella for an attack, only to be disappointed that this was just somebody on her team and that her attack was going to be worthless. As Sugar and Ella walked together, Ella predicted that they, two, would become the best of friends. Wanting to get Ella off her back, Sugar pretended that she hear something and shoved Ella into the bushes so that she could "hide". Sugar just walked off and abandoned a very oblivious Ella there, who didn't get the message that Sugar really hated her. Later on, Ella sang a loud and annoying song to Sugar, which drove her crazy. This song also lost them the challenge as it helped Jasmine locate them and pelt them with water balloons.

Ella saved Sugar a seat at the truth or dare challenge. In the confessional, Ella described her friendship with Sugar as "tumultuous" and believed that this gesture of generosity would help mend whatever problems they were going through. It didn't and Sugar just pushed Ella off the log and accused her of trying to seat her in a location that would guarantee her less screen time as she took Ella's original seat. Sugar would later get pissed off when she heard that Rodney didn't think she was pretty. Ella tried to comfort Sugar and assure her that Rodney still thought she was the second prettiest. Sugar did not like this compliment because an egotist like her refuses to be second best anybody. When Ella was given the challenge of telling the truth, she said that if she could change one thing about herself, she would change whatever it is that's keeping her from being friends with Sugar. Sugar got extremely infuriated with the fact that Ella began this speech with "I firmly believe", as she perceived Ella as appropriating beauty pageant culture. Sugar bodyslammed Ella and attacked her, leaving Dave and Shawn to hold her back from killing her. Chris fueled the fire of Sugar and Ella's rivalry by trying to make Ella out to be some kind of an antagonistic rabblerouser.
A BLAST FROM THE PAST
Ella understood that Sugar didn't like her singing so she tried to make amends with her by reciting a poem to her instead. Ella compared Sugar to actual sugar, saying that they were both equally sweet and made everything they touched so much sweeter. Sugar interrupted Ella's poem with a little poem of her out "Roses are red, manure is brown, GET OUT OF MY FACE!". Sky assured Ella that Sugar just felt bad about herself, which is why she wasn't becoming friends with her. Ella threw a word-making-up challenge for Sugar by poorly coming up with the word "cat" so that Sugar could win but this had no effect. At the end of the episode, Chris told Ella that if she sang again, she was off the show. Sugar convinced Ella that maybe a song would help to change his mind. Ella prepared to sing and Sky covered her mouth to save her from instant elimination.
MO' MONKEY, MO' PROBLEMS
Sugar grimaced at a heartbroken Ella, when she came to the challenge station. When Ella announced how getting rejected by Dave really filled her heart with sorrow, Sugar laughed sadistically, just happy about her misfortune. Dave later got attacked by a bear and Sugar encouraged Ella to use her singing abilities to soothe the savage beast and save Dave. She told Ella that this would not only win them the challenge but also possibly bring her closer to her prince charming. Even though Chris told her that she wasn't allowed to sing anymore, Sugar told her that Chris wasn't there so he would have no way of knowing. Ella's singing won them the competition but Sugar still snitched on her to Chris, by sending an "ughnonymous" note to him (because she couldn't spell "anonymous"). This meant that Ella was going to be unfairly eliminated. Sugar could barely contain her joy with Ella being "G-A-W-N". With Ella being eliminated, she sang one last swan song about her departure and bid her entire team, including Sugar, a lovely musical goodbye.

Some fans believe that Ella and Sugar could stop fighting and become friends. Some even go as far as to believe that they can become girlfriends.
