SuhoSafetyPinSieun is the cargo ship between Ahn Suho, Yeon Sieun, and Suho’s Giant Safety Pin from the Weak Hero fandom.
Canon[]
Stephen Ahn (Ahn Suho in the Korean version) and Gray Yeon (Yeon Sieun in the Korean version) were students at Byuksan Middle School. Stephen carries around a giant safety pin and prefers to use it instead of a belt. After he falls from Byuksan’s rooftop, becomes comatose, and is transferred to a hospital away from Seoul, Gray keeps Stephen’s giant safety pin with him.
Chapter 27
Stephen shows Gray a pin and demonstrates that by clipping it onto his pants, his pants don’t drop even without a belt.
Chapter 35
Gray stands ominously behind Oswald Yang (Yang Seonghun in the Korean version). Before Oswald could remove his PE uniform, Gray uses Stephen’s giant safety pin to clip his shirt to his shorts. As Oswald struggles with his shirt, Gray climbs onto the nearby desk and kicks Oswald in the face with his steel-toed boots. He knees him in the face and sends him to the ground. Oswald demands to know who’s attacking him and manages to break loose of the safety pin.
Chapter 100
Gray goes to Eunjang's rooftop and is no longer afraid. He thinks that it's strange that he feels much better now. He has an unexplainable yearning that can't be put into words. Eugene Gale (Seo Juntae in the Korean version) asks Gray if he's okay and Gray says he is. Gray tells him that they should get going or they'll be late. Eugene notices Gray has a new bag and, weirdly, a giant safety pin.
Chapter 129
Gray mentions to Eugene and Teddy Jin (Jin Taeoh in the Korean version) that he had a friend (Stephen) who was accepted into a local program before, and he regrets never helping him back then. He glances over at the safety pin still attached to his backpack.
Fanon[]
Not many people write about the safety pin outside of its canon appearances. Some people consider the safety pin to symbolize their close friendship. After being separated from Stephen and no longer knowing where he is, Gray keeps the safety pin with him. He even utilizes it to get his revenge against the people responsible for comatosing Stephen. After overcoming his rooftop trauma, he now clips the giant safety pin to his bag.
Some people think Gray returned the safety pin to Stephen after reuniting with him at the end of the series. Other people think that Stephen wants Gray to still keep it with him. The giant safety pin is a symbol of their friendship.
