- What a disappointment... I thought you were the leader... A hierachy not based on strength is boring, if you ask me.
- —Sukuna acknowledging Gojo's strength in Chapter 3
SukuGo is the slash ship between Ryomen Sukuna and Satoru Gojo from the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom.
Canon[]
Gojo and Sukuna's interactions at the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen were limited, but they received more and more scenes together later on. The first time they interacted was when they first met and fought, the second time was when Yuji went to Jujutsu High for the first time, and Sukuna made a promise to kill Gojo once he made Yuji's body his own, the third was when Gojo was unsealed and they decided to fight on the 24th of December, and the final time was the day of their battle.
Fearsome Womb Arc[]
Gojo sends Megumi to look for one of Sukuna's fingers. When he arrives at Sugisawa Third High School, Gojo finds out that Yuji has eaten one of Sukuna's fingers. Gojo laughs when he is able to confirm that Yuji and Sukuna are combined. He then decides to ask Yuji to switch with Sukuna for ten seconds and come back after that. As soon as he is free, Sukuna attacks Gojo and, in the anime, Gojo sits on his back. Gojo then asks Sukuna if he doesn't mind him showing off and hits him. Sukuna notices Gojo's speed and something else about his fighting style. Sukuna insults Gojo by saying that Jujutsu Sorcerers are always a pain, no matter the era. Sukuna attacks Gojo and is surprised when he survives. After ten seconds, Yuji takes back his body and Gojo knocks him out. Gojo tells Megumi that if Yuji wakes up and isn't possessed, then he has potential as a vessel for Sukuna. Gojo asks Megumi what to do with Yuji and Sukuna and, at Megumi's demand, he decides to spare Yuji.
After he wakes up, Gojo informs Yuji that his execution has been decided. However he explains how and why they are going to suspend it. Gojo tells Yuji that, in total, there's twenty of Sukuna fingers as he had four arms. He tells him that Jujutsu sorcerers have six of them in their possession but that they cannot be destroyed. Gojo demonstrates to Yuji that he cannot destroy Sukuna's fingers as they are powerful cursed objects which get stronger every day. Gojo explains that they cannot seal Sukuna's fingers properly but, if Yuji dies, Sukuna will die with him. Gojo thinks killing Yuji and Sukuna right away would be a waste as there's no guarantee that a vessel capable of controlling Sukuna will ever come around again. For this reason Gojo proposed to the higher-ups that they only kill Yuji after he takes in the rest of Sukuna. he then asks Yuji if he is willing to find the remaining parts of Sukuna and die with him after taking them all in his body.
Gojo acquiesces when Yuji asks him if there will be fewer people killed by curses if all of Sukuna is eliminated. When Yuji agrees to eat a second finger, Gojo wonders what will happen now that Yuji has a tenth of Sukuna inside of him. Gojo seems satisfied when it's confirmed that Yuji can control Sukuna.
Gojo saying it's an honor to be targeted by Sukuna in Chapter 3
When they arrive at Jujutsu High, Sukuna makes an appearance by talking through a mouth he made on Yuji's body. Because of Gojo's strength, Sukuna is surprised he isn't the leader as he believes hierarchies should be based on strength. He also says that he will kill Gojo first since he is indebted to him and Gojo considers it an honor.
Gojo also explains who Sukuna is, he says that Sukuna had four arms and two faces and was a demon of lore. However, he also explains that Sukuna was a human who existed over a thousand years ago. Gojo says that past sorcerers sharpened their skills by fighting him. After his death, Sukuna became a cursed object and traversed the ages as Jujutsu sorcerers weren't able to destroy his fingers. Gojo finishes his speech by saying that Sukuna is the King of Curses. When Yuji asks him who would win between Gojo and a Sukuna who has regained all of his power. Gojo answers that it would be a little tough, but ultimately, he would defeat Sukuna.
After passing the principal's test, Gojo tells Yuji that Sukuna's fingers are not easy to find as some of them have a large, overwhelming presence, some of them keep quiet and some of them have already been consumed by cursed spirits. Gojo explains that they'll need Yuji's help to locate the fingers as Sukuna will want to regain his power and will direct Yuji to the location of his fingers. Gojo calls it a win-win agreement with Sukuna.
Later, when Gojo is training Yuji, he seems confident that Yuji will be able to use Sukuna's technique in the future.
Shibuya Incident Arc[]
While Sukuna is fighting Jogo, he asks him why he won't use his Domain. Sukuna deduces Jogo is afraid to open his Domain after what happened while he was fighting Gojo and mocks him for being a true loser. After defeating Jogo, Sukuna tells him that he should've burnt everything to a cinder. To reach the heights of Gojo and not worry about his future or identity.
Culling Game Arc[]
After Gojo is unsealed on November 19th, he confronts Kenjaku and attempts to kill him but is interrupted by Sukuna. Sukuna blocks an attack from Gojo, who takes notice of his new vessel, and tells him he intends to keep his promise to kill him first. Gojo then insults Sukuna for running away from Yuji by changing vessels. Kenjaku tells Sukuna to not fight Gojo right away which prompts Gojo to make fun of him for listening to Kenjaku. Sukuna then thinks about Yorozu's words about love, absolute strength and the solitude it brings and decides to agree to postpone the fight. Gojo also agrees to postpone the fight as he has things to do before it. They agree to fight on the 24th of December, and Gojo declares that he will win.
Shinjuku Showdown Arc[]
Before the fight, Sukuna eats the last of his fingers, however the very last finger is missing. Sukuna thinks Gojo must have hid it because he can't imagine him doing nothing to not stall Yuji's execution and eats his mummified head to compensate for his missing finger's power. On the other side, Gojo seems tense before his fight with Sukuna but he seems to be in good spirits when his students wish him good luck.
Starting Blocks[]
Sukuna awaits Gojo on top of a building in Shinjuku. He tells Uraume that although they haven't set a time an place for the fight, he and Gojo do not need to set this stuff advance. Right at this moment, he perceives Gojo's presence in Shibuya. Entering the battle, Gojo wants to make the decisive strike to make sure Sukuna is the challenger. He enlists principal Gakuganji and Utahime's help and uses chants and hand signs to boost his output to 200% to launch a decisive strike on Sukuna from 4 kilometres away. Gojo's 200% Hollow Purple is hidden behind Ijichi's barrier and Sukuna was unable to sense the attack until it was right in front of him. Sukuna took Gojo's attack head-on, but only lost both of his arms which he heals right away. However, he thought Gojo's attack was a 120%, binding vow-enhanced, Hollow Purple. Gojo uses Blue to teleport in front of Sukuna and tells the King of Curses that he is the challenger.
Sukuna questions Gojo calling him the challenger and berates him for attacking him by surprise. He tells Gojo that he is merely a fish on his chopping board, although livelier than the others. He tells Gojo that his first move will be to remove his Infinity. Gojo responds that he will not be swayed by Sukuna wearing Megumi's face and that he will go all out in this fight, even worrying about Megumi after he kills him.
They start fighting and Sukuna seems surprised by Gojo's use of Blue. Sukuna sends a Dismantle to cut the building behind them, catching Gojo off guard. As the building crashes on the ground, both of them emerge from the smoke, side by side. Gojo jokes that he'll blame Sukuna for the destruction their fight caused to which Sukuna says that he isn't one to say anything. Gojo then remembers that his actions, and the damage he contributed to, are being broadcasted.
Round 1: Domain Battle[]
Gojo and Sukuna use their Domain Expansions which are evenly matched, resulting in their sure-hits cancelling each other out. However, the effective range of Sukuna's open barrier reaches beyond the barrier of Gojo's, resulting in its collapse. One slashing attack reaches Gojo but he heals it right away. As Sukuna's slashes rain down on Gojo, he thinks to himself that his Limitless is far better and keeps on using Reverse Cursed Technique to heal from the slashes. Now suffering from cursed technique burnout, he tries to run but Sukuna catches up to him. As they fight, Sukuna remarks that Gojo is fighting pretty well considering he's using RCT at full output. Meanwhile, Gojo notices than the heart of the Domain seems to be the shrine and not Sukuna himself.
To counter Sukuna's sure-hit, Gojo uses Simple Domain while simultaneously using RCT. Sukuna attacks and Gojo's Simple Domain breaks. He casts it again, which Sukuna finds tedious. Gojo stops using RCT as he jumps on Sukuna, surprising him with his speed, and embraces him to aim a point-blank Red at his face. Gojo shoots Sukuna into his shrine, making Sukuna grin, and comments that it was a pain in the ass.
Gojo stopped healing from Sukuna's slashes to heal his exhausted cursed technique. As cursed techniques are etched into the brain, Gojo damaged his own brain with cursed energy then rebuilt it with RCT to replenish his burned-out technique.
Having refreshed his cursed technique and escaped outside of Sukuna's Domain, Gojo asks Sukuna to expand his Domain to its maximum range. Sukuna complies and Gojo expands his Domain a second time, telling Sukuna "Let's take this from the top". Sukuna uses Domain Amplification to hit Gojo, impressing him but Gojo remarks that using Domain Amplification, while stopping the user from using his cursed technique, does not disable a cursed technique already etched into a Domain.
Sukuna then places himself back-to-back to Gojo and touches him to stop Gojo's sure-hit from reaching him as he momentarily disables his own inside Gojo barrier. Sukuna knew that touching Gojo would protect him from his sure-hit as Gojo showed it to Yuji when he was fighting Jogo. To destroy Gojo's barrier from the outside, Sukuna expanded the range of his Domain, strengthening the power of his binding vow. He also used another binding vow to disable his sure-hit inside Gojo's Domain, to strengthen it outside of Gojo's Domain, making himself vulnerable to Gojo sure-hit if he didn't touch him. Sukuna manages to destroy Gojo's Domain once again and taunts him by saying "Take it from the top, eh?"
To protect himself from Malevolent Shrine, Gojo uses Falling Blossom Emotion to Sukuna's surprise. He then expands his own Domain for a third time. Firstly, he expands the range of his barrier to capture Sukuna's entire Domain within his own. He then makes his barrier smaller until it reaches the size of a basketball to strengthen its outside shell.
After being sealed, Gojo was able to envision a small space big enough to hold himself and Sukuna, stopping his Domain from collapsing. Gojo's barrier holds out against Sukuna's but ultimately breaks at the same time as Sukuna's. Sukuna destroys Gojo's Domain from the outside and Gojo damages Sukuna to the point where he can't maintain his Domain. Thus, their Domains break simultaneously after about three minutes.
Now that their Domains have collapsed, neither fighter can use their cursed technique but they're both able to restore their own. The sorcerers discuss if Sukuna learned how to restore his burned-out cursed technique by copying Gojo or if he already knew how to do it before. As they keep fighting, Gojo questions why Sukuna is avoiding the use of any cursed technique other than the one granted to his Domain and is choosing to use Domain Amplification to reach through Gojo's Infinity, giving him the upper hand inside the Domain. According to Gojo, Sukuna chose the riskier option by choosing to destroy his Domain from the outside. Gojo questions Sukuna's refusal to use the Ten Shadows technique against him as he knows about Mahoraga from Megumi's memories. Gojo wonders if Sukuna is scared that he'll destroy it in one attack. Right at this moment, Mahoraga's wheel turns in the shadows and Gojo gets a nosebleed from his damaged brain which he wipes from his face.
Gojo and Sukuna expand their Domains once more and, once more, their Domains break simultaneously. Gojo and Sukuna expand their Domains once again but this time, Sukuna was late to the Domain battle because he had to heal his body before restoring his cursed technique. Therefore, Unlimited Void landed for less than 0.01 seconds, causing Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine to collapse within Gojo's Domain two minutes and forty seconds after they expanded their Domains. Gojo seizes the moment to hit Sukuna's chest and thinks to himself that crushing his heart won't be sufficient and he'll have to crush his lungs and liver to bring him closer to death than Yuuji at the juvenile center. As he is about to strike, Mahoraga appears, summoned by Sukuna. Gojo tells himself he'll destroy it in one-shot but, as Mahoraga breaks Gojo's Domain, he realises that Mahoraga is already adapting to Unlimited Void.
Gojo is surprised to see Mahoraga breaking his Domain from the inside and wonders if Sukuna has taken over the burden of Mahoraga's adaptation ability before realising the one taking the damage was not Sukuna but Megumi's soul. Sukuna comments on Gojo's reaction to this revelation and they both taunt each other. Sukuna explains that he wanted to get rid of Unlimited Void first as it is a bothersome ability. Sukuna answers Gojo's questions from chapter 228 by saying that he couldn't use a cursed technique other than the one given to his Domain while he was using the Ten Shadows technique. However, Gojo is not worried as he is confident he can destroy Mahoraga in one attack.
As he is about to open his Domain for the sixth time, he gets another nosebleed and Sukuna tells him he can no longer open his Domain. Sukuna then explains to Gojo the process of healing an exhausted innate technique with reverse cursed technique. He goes on to tell Gojo that he'll die if he tries another Domain Expansion as he has damaged his brain too much. Sukuna taunts Gojo by telling him he'll kill with his Domain Expansion while adapting to his Infinity. Sukuna says his goodbyes by telling Gojo he turned out to be painfully ordinary. As he opens Malevolent Shrine, Sukuna's eyes start to bleed. Indeed, the blow Sukuna took from Unlimited Void lasted less than ten seconds but, just like Gojo, his brain suffered enough damage to make Domain Expansion impossible.
“I'm the one who will teach you about love!!”
Seeing the damage his Unlimited Void has done to Sukuna's face lifts Gojo's spirits, and he laughs while telling him it had an effect after all. Gojo hits Sukuna in the face, and the chapter ends with both of them looking at eachother as Yorozu's words about love and the loneliness that comes with unrivaled strength makes an appearance once again.
Round 2: Mahoraga[]

Chapter 236: Heading South[]
Gojo and Sukuna fight, and the themes of love are explored yet again. Gojo is fighting Sukuna to kill him but also to reach him. To convey everything to him. To make him understand love and the loneliness that comes with unrivaled strength.
Gojo was sorry Sukuna couldn't go all out
Gojo talking about Sukuna
In chapter 236, a now dead Gojo talks to Geto about Sukuna. How he tried to connect with him and how he wanted him to know. Gojo continues saying that he gave it his very all, and was saddened/sorry that Sukuna couldn't. Sukuna was the source of Gojo's satisfaction as the Strongest and was able to bring clarity to a part of him no one could understand. Back to reality, Sukuna smiles widely and calls Gojo magnificent. Saying he'll never forget him for as long as he lives. Sukuna, who finds authentic love "valueless", showed Gojo his own love through pure respect and admiration. Just as Gojo was satisfied with what he was able to reach in Sukuna and had fun, it was the first time in a millennia Sukuna had felt like that.
Sukuna tells Gojo he'll never forget him
Sukuna kills Gojo by understanding how to expand his technique's target from Gojo Gojo to the world itself. As Gojo existed within that space, his Infinity meant nothing and Sukuna was able to kill him. Thus, by fighting Gojo, Sukuna developed one of the most devastating attacks in the series: the world cutting slash. However, as Sukuna only had one arm when first firing his improved Dismantle, he was forced to impose a binding vow on himself which permanently limits how he can use this attack. This lends credence to Sukuna saying he will never forget Gojo.
Chapter 260[]
When Yuji stabs his fist through Sukuna's chest, Sukuna notices a mysterious silhouette, and then he witnesses him. The strongest "ghost" whom he buried with his own two hands.
Chapter 266[]
Sukuna has thought of Gojo countless times after his death, but this time a character actually notices him doing so. As Sukuna's fighting Yuji, he uses Gojo's personal method of resetting a burnt out technique with a Domain, to which Yuji immediately recognizes.
Chapter 270[]
- “It's unthinkable that I would lose but if I do, defeat is no different than death. Whatever you wish to do with my corpse is up to you.”
- — Sukuna to Yorozu, Chapter 217
Whereas Gojo's body was used by Yuta as a weapon against Sukuna, Sukuna's was used as a shield for Jujutsu High. Tengen's barriers around Japan would stay in place so long as Sukuna's remnants were preserved.
Chapter 271[]
Sukuna's conclusion showed he was capable of change, and as he rejected Mahito, who was the mirror of humans, and decided to "Go North" with his servant, Uraume, he said that should there be a next time, it would be nice to walk a different path. Gojo and Sukuna are narrative foils. In the end, Gojo chose to go "south", and Sukuna chose to go "north".
Moments[]
- In Gojo and Sukuna's first fight, Sukuna noticed Gojo's speed and seemed surprised/fascinated by it.
- Gojo was the one to introduce Yuji and the readers to the legend of Sukuna.
- Gojo predicted correctly that Yuji would eventually be able to use Sukuna's cursed technique.
- When Gojo first used Unlimited Void, Sukuna was watching inside of Yuji.
- In chapter 224, Sukuna and Gojo appear coming out of an explosion side by side, joking together as they appear to be on good terms with each other.
- In chapter 225, it is said Gojo and Sukuna's Domains are said to be evenly matched. The only difference maker is Sukuna's "Divine" open barrier.
- In the manga, Sukuna and Gojo are both referred to as the "Honored One". In Sukuna's case, the sentence was said by the narrator[1] but in Gojo's case, he said it himself[2]. In Japanese, 天上天下唯我獨尊 (Tenjou tenge yuiga dokuson) means “Above heaven, under heaven, I am alone worthy of honor”. It is believed to be the phrase said by Buddha Sakyamuni when he was born and is not meant to have an arrogant meaning. However, Gege Akutami said that he likes using the arrogant sense of the phrase[3].
- In chapter 230, Sukuna calls Gojo a 凡夫 (bonpu): a Buddhist term meaning someone who is not Enlightened; the opposite of Honored One, which is gained via Enlightenment[3].
- In chapter 233, the narrator states that Gojo is satisfied by Sukuna. However, in 236, Gojo states he would've only been fully satisfied if Geto had been there to send him off to fight against Sukuna. Even before that, Gojo spoke so much of Sukuna that Geto said he was jealous.
- During and before Sukuna and Gojo's fight, the theme of love was brought up three times between them, in chapters 221, 230 and 236. In 238, Sukuna states "love is worthless" and says he never needed anyone to satisfy him.
- Whilst fighting Gojo, Sukuna feels nervous for the first time in 1,000 years.
- Sukuna kept his promise of killing Gojo first when he regained his full power.
- In chapter 236, Gojo smiles after hearing Sukuna's last words to him. Fans speculate this could be because he heard Sukuna, however it's not entirely confirmed.
- Sukuna has always acknowledged Gojo's strength on multiple occasions like in chapter 3, 116, 221, 224, 230, 236 and 238. Also in chapters 246 and 260 if the narrator is to be counted.
- In chapter 258, Sukuna changes his Domain's hand sign which now looks like Gojo's Unlimited Void hand sign.
- In chapters 217 and 261, both Sukuna and Gojo say that it seems impossible for them to lose/die but, in the case that they do, they do not care what happens to their body.
- In Chapter 262.2, Sukuna notices that Yuta has no idea how to handle Gojo's complex technique. He catches Yuta off guard when the latter thinks back on Gojo, saying: “Do you think you have time to daydream?”
- According to The Official Gojo Satoru Booklet, Gojo's battle with Sukuna was one of the major/most important events in his life.
- Gojo left Sukuna with quite the mark, since the binding vow to use the World Cutting Slash was the main reason that led to an opening for his students (more specifically Yuji) to win against Sukuna.
- In Chapter 266, Sukuna uses Gojo's personal method of resetting a burnt out technique with a Domain.
- Gojo and Sukuna (characters connected to love in Jujutsu Kaisen) have both gotten stabbed through their chests by Zen'ins who had lost their hearts when they lost their loves. Toji with Megumi's mother, and Maki with her sister Mai.

Fanon[]
SukuGo has 740+ fanfictions under its tag on Archive of our Own. It is Gojo 7th most popular ship and Sukuna's 3rd most popular on the website. When the series first began, Sukuna and Gojo were mainly shipped together because they were the two strongest characters in the verse and their impending battle was always foreshadowed. However, the Shinjuku Showdown caused fans to see their relationship more deeply (as it was developed and explored by Akutami more and more) and to analyze the constant theme of love surrounding them. Their interesting, funny and exciting interactions created a unique dynamic that was unbefitting of true enemies, and many found that fascinating considering neither Sukuna nor Gojo had acted that way towards anyone before. Especially Sukuna. What made their relationship appealing even more was the genuine admiration Sukuna has for Gojo and the empathy Gojo had for Sukuna to try and reach out to him.
Sukuna is the Strongest sorcerer in history and Gojo is the Strongest sorcerer of today. They are both referred to as the honored ones. Gojo by himself and Sukuna by the narrator which is why fans use that name while referring to the pair. They both are very proud of their strength and enjoy boasting about their abilities. They both greatly enjoy fighting and Jujutsu.
One of Gojo's most popular lines in the series is “Love is the most twisted curse”. In Chapter 238, Sukuna tells a dead Kashimo “Let me assure you...love is worthless”. They are the only two characters in Jujutsu Kaisen who have spoken openly about what love is to them. Though, on Sukuna's end, perhaps those words aren't as true as they seemed. In Chapter 271, he says that should he have the chance, perhaps it would be nice if he took a different path.
A popular fan theory is that Sukuna's World Slash is an epitaph for Gojo. A love that bisects the world.
SukuGo gained visibility from non shippers when @sukugojos on Twitter tweeted "do NOT get shipped with Gojo Satoru you will DIE"[4] and @fushiqruo on Twitter responded by "everyone needs to ship sukugo now it’s the only way"[5].
Songs[]
Unofficial[]
• Avant | Eve
"Avant" is an official song released by Eve when Gojo Vs Sukuna was still going on, and many relate the song to Sukuna due to the imagery in the video and the lyrics. Around 3:15, the Prison Realm is shown being cut in half before Sukuna's domain appears. The prison realm and being cut in half is often used as a way to reference or mention Gojo. The lyrics that play over that part are, as shown from the English captions:
“The passion that towards you only, cuts through the air like a wish.“
A translation by a fan showed that the lyric was more accurately: “My yearning for you is all that cuts through space“. A few of the other English translated versions of the song include the word yearning and longing as well.
Eve talked about “Avant” and said that it was originally meant to be a song for Jujutsu Kaisen's game, but it was also an extension of Jujutsu Kaisen's first opening “Kai Kai Kitan” and he was able to do some things with “Avant” that he couldn't with “Kai Kai Kitan”. Regarding the lyrics, Eve said that it was about portraying the conflict of the characters from Jujutsu Kaisen, but he wouldn't dare say who. Because of the excessive Sukuna imagery in the music video, it's highly suspected that “Avant” is about Sukuna.[6]
• Otaku Hot Girl | Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion mentioned Gojo and Sukuna in her song “Otaku Hot Girl”
“Ayy, can't touch me like Gojo.”
“Bow down when I pop out like Sukuna.”

Trivia[]
- A Jujutsu Kaisen Stage was held and streamed at Jump Festa 2024 on December 16th, 2023. During the event, the Anime Voice Actors voiced lines from the manga, including Gojo's VA, Yuichi Nakamura, and Sukuna's VA, Junichi Suwabe, who voiced lines from the beginning of the fight. Unfortunately, Shonen Jump deleted the VOD from their YouTube channel.
- On January 1, 2024, the official Jujutsu Kaisen account made a thread solely for Gojo and Sukuna.[7]
- Volume 4 and Volume 25 covers feature Gojo and Sukuna in similar poses but with opposite background colors: blue for Gojo and red/orange for Sukuna. These illustrations were sold together as part of the Taiwanese release for Volume 25[8].
- To promote Volume 25, promotional art of Gojo & Sukuna was published in 2 Japanese newspapers: Asahi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun[9]. One newspaper had half of the illustration, featuring Gojo, and the other newspaper had the other half, featuring Sukuna. To make it whole, fans could buy both newspapers and join the two illustrations.
- Gojo and Sukuna have a Manga Music video to promote the release of Volume 25[10] and another one for the release of Volume 26[11]. The MMV for Volume 25 was presented as an advertisement for a wrestling/boxing match.
- To keep with the theme, the Japanese and Korean Volume 25 releases came with bookmarks resembling game tickets for Gojo vs. Sukuna.
- Volume 26 has new illustrations of Gojo and Sukuna by Gege Akutami. One of them being a drawing of Sukuna saying "Omae wa mou..." to Gojo in reference to the Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru/You Are Already Dead meme.
- The Japanese[12][13], Korean[14] and Taiwanese[15] releases for Volume 25 all feature bonus content with Gojo and Sukuna illustrations.
- At the beginning of the Gojo vs. Sukuna fight, Sukuna's Japanese voice actor, Junichi Suwabe, bought a Gojo Infinity choco and cut it in half to reference Gojo and Sukuna's techniques[16][17].
- Sukuna's Japanese voice actor, Junichi Suwabe, tweeted "Ah, oh..." in reaction to Gojo's death[18].
- Several companies such as the official Minecraft[19] and Duolingo[20] Twitter accounts referenced the end of the Gojo Vs Sukuna fight.
- Megan Thee Stallion cosplayed as both Sukuna[21] and Gojo[22] on separate occasions.
- Megan Thee Stallion brought up Gojo and Sukuna cosplayers on stage during a live performance at the Hot Girl Summer Tour.
- Megan Thee Stallion's new song "Otaku Hot Girl" mentions both Gojo and Sukuna.
- In Jujutsu Kaisen: The Official Character Guide, Gege Akutami compares Gojo and Sukuna at page 101.
- In Gege's author comments collected by Shonen Jump, he has been vocal about his disdain for Gojo [4], you can even see some of this in the manga's earlier extras like the Valentine Vote results where Gege gives a salty reaction at Gojo being in 1st place[5]. Where with Sukuna he was actually Gege's earlier favorites when writing JJK[6].
- Gege had planned Sukuna Vs Gojo when he was still writing Shibuya.[23]
- Sukuna and Gojo take up almost half of the Jujutsu Kaisen x Hikarie Hall Exhibition.
- In The Official Gojo Satoru Booklet, Akutami stated that Gojo would be pretty happy meeting anyone who's a talented sorcerer. With Sukuna being the absolute strongest, a master at sorcery, he easily fits this description.[24]
- In Chapter 3, Gojo is the first character Sukuna promises to kill. Gojo responds to his promise with “Me? A target of the great Sukuna? What an honour!” An interesting line from Yorozu in Chapter 217 when she's talking to Sukuna about love is "I want to be the one who kills you. I want you to be the one who kills me".
- Sukuna was the first character to introduce a Domain Expansion to the audience at the juvenile center. Later, during Gojo Vs Jogo, Gojo is the one to explain to the audience (and Yuuji) what a Domain Expansion is. Even further into the series, Sukuna's and Gojo's words made Megumi go all out and develop a different mindset in the Death Painting Arc. While Sukuna's 'help' was indirect, Gojo's was direct. They share many similarities, and it seems that teaching may also be another thing they have in common.
