Canon[]
Vs. Mahito Arc[]
Kenjaku and Mahito place one of Sukuna's fingers inside Junpei's apartment to force Yuji to make a binding vow with Sukuna and help them convince Sukuna to work with their group. While fighting Yuji, Mahito uses his technique to transform Junpei. Yuji asks Sukuna to help Junpei but Sukuna laughs at the situation. Mahito is surprised at Sukuna's refusal and wonders if Sukuna is unable to heal others. Mahito and Sukuna share a laugh together at Yuji's expense and continue to laugh even after Junpei dies.
Mahito and Yuji resume their fight and manages to pin Yuji down to try to force Yuji to switch with Sukuna. Mahito uses Idle Transfiguration on Yuji and finds himself in Sukuna's Innate Domain. Sukuna tells Mahito he'll forgive him for touching his soul because of the laugh they shared. Sukuna tells Mahito there won't be another chance if Mahito touches his soul again. He then forces Mahito out of his Domain.
When Yuji forcibly enters Mahito's Domain Expansion, Sukuna tells Mahito than he had been warned and Sukuna wounds him. Mahito escapes from and thinks about how powerful Sukuna is and how he will kill Yuji next.
Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc[]
Kenjaku tells Mahito and the Disaster Curses that they will have to offer Sukuna all of his fingers if they want him on their side. They plan steal the remaining fingers fom Jujutsu High and Kenjaku recommends that they avoid killing any students as Sukuna appears to have some interest in one of them and they can only unleash him on October 31st.
Death Painting Arc[]
Kenjaku tells Mahito that Sukuna is different than the other cursed objects. He tells Mahito that Sukuna, even after spliting himself in 20 pieces, is still able to attract curses and chose his own vessel.
Shibuya Incident Arc[]
After Gojo is sealed inside of the Prison Realm, Mahito, Kenjaku and the Disaster Curses discuss what to do with Yuji and Sukuna. Mahito thinks it will be fine if they don't revive Sukuna and leaves to find and kill Yuji. While fighting Yuji, Mahito uses his Domain Expansion for less then a second which causes him to appear before Sukuna. Mahito taunts Sukuna and tells him to stand aside as he kills Yuji.

SukuHito is a rarepair as it has 17 works under its tag on Archive of our Own. The ship is Mahito's sixth most popular pairing on the website and Sukuna's 17th most popular. Fans like this ship because Mahito and Sukuna are similar in many ways. They both are cruel beings who laugh at oters' misery and love to torment Yuji. Both are geniuses who can replicate something after only seeing it once. They are both experts at evolving their cursed techniques and have an interest in Jujutsu. Many fans point out that if Mahito hadn't been defeated in Shibuya, he could have become a threat equal to Sukuna. Sukuna is one of the rare characters in the series who can resist Mahito's Idle transfiguration and hurt Mahito's soul.
