SunAkiToya is the poly ship between Sunny, Touya Aoyagi and Akito Shinonome from the Omori and Project SEKAI fandoms.
Canon[]
This section is in need of major improvement. Please help improve this article by editing it. Akito and Touya have met in canon since they are from the same franchise. They are both part of Vivid BAD SQUAD. The two have not met Sunny since he is from a different franchise. In canon, Akito and Touya are also members of the duo BAD DOGS, which joined with the Vivids to make Vivid BAD SQUAD.
Both Touya and Sunny play the violin, (although Touya was forced to as a child) and have similar personalities, as they are both introverts. It is said they are very compatible characters, and would get along well.
Akito and Sunny, on the other hand, aren’t as similar as Sunny and Toya - but both have lost hope in humanity. Sunny and Akito both canonically have an older sister, although Sunny’s sister, Mari, is deceased.
Fanon[]
SunAkiToya originated from the 'Midi Cable AU' (or MidiCA for short) which is a crossover au in itself. All three participated in a polyamorous relationship after Toya found himsef in love with both Akito and SUNNY. This doesn't mean you have to know of or like MidiCA to ship SunAkiToya.
It is highly believed that Akito would have many nicknames for SUNNY, like "Susny."
Recently, the Vivid BAD SQUAD Spotify incident included a song named "BAD X SUN," which is also known as a name for this ship. The question is still out there: "Did a SunAkiToya shipper create BAD X SUN?"
Usually, the dynamic of SunAkiToya is “Two Madly in Love, One Recipient,” referring to the Akito and SUNNY being madly in love with Touya.
However some fans decide to focus more on SunAki instead, with Touya as the third wheel.
Many fan fictions involving this ship also happen to include Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club! often as a side character. This shows that most fans of this ship are in many fandoms.
