Sunfish is the het ship between Sunny and Cris from the Omori fandom.
Canon[]
Cris and Sunny are neighbours who live on the same street. However, they did not know each other very well, as they had only met once or twice before Cris left Faraway. By the time she had returned, he had already isolated himself. On the day he leaves his house, he and Kel come across Cris at her house, where Kel introduces him to her. She then begins telling both Sunny and Kel how passionate she is about the ocean in general.
As Cris talks about her boarding school, Kel is reminded that Sunny is moving away. He then tells her this, asking her to give Sunny some tips. Cris then begins giving him advice on moving away. She tells him that she did miss her friends at first, and then motivates him by saying "Change is just a fact of life!" She tells him to cherish the memories with his friends.
Cris asks Sunny to bring her seashells if he sees any. She says that she'll "Make it worth it". This starts a side quest. If Sunny does bring all the seashells needed, Cris will make a seashell necklace and give it to Sunny. She says that since her friends made one for her when she moved away, she wanted to share the feeling with someone else. She further motivates him, afterwards, wishing him good luck.
If Sunny helps Cris's dad find the remote, Cris and her family leave flowers for him at the hospital.
Fanon[]
Since the pair hardly interact, it's considered a rarepair in the fandom. However, this doesn't stop people from shipping it anyways. It's more shipped post-good ending or in an alternate universe where everything is okay, so that Sunny is able be more mentally healthy and ready for a relationship. On Sunny's end, the ship is largely overshadowed by immensely popular ships such as Sunflower, Sunburn and Suntan. On Cris's end, the ship mainly rivals Beachball, as well as Waterlily and Watercolors to a lesser extent.
