Sunturine is the slash ship between Sunday and Aventurine from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.
Canon[]
The Youths Who Chase Dreams[]
The Astral Express Crew were held up at the check-in, therefore prompting Aventurine to intervene. Himeko asked him if he would be willing to vouch for them, stating that being allied with them would come in handy. Aventurine agrees, and tells the concierge, Alley, that he has an appointment with Sunday, and that he will ask Sunday to help resolve the matter later. Alley begins to argue, but right at that moment Sunday appears, prompting Aventurine to exclaim he was just talking about him, and call Sunday the most handsome man in Penacony. Sunday remarks that he kept Aventurine waiting, asking him to go that way so they can speak in private. Sunday approaches The Express shortly, informing them that he sorted out the details with Alley and then tells them Aventurine had an appointment with The Oak Family, and extends apologies to them on Aventurine's behalf. Sunday apologizes for taking up their time, reminding them The Family is always here to serve if they need anything in the future and takes his leave.
Gentleness, The Name Of Nocturne[]
Aventurine was confronted by Sparkle, as he had been following her for quite some time. She instantly identifies him a Sigonian, remarking they are known for being liars, thieves, social manipulators and wolves in sheep's clothing. Aventurine talks back to Sparkle, irritating her and causing her to state The Fools are not interested in working with IPC lapdogs. Aventurine retorts back that she should pick a side whilst she has the chance, or else risk losing everything. Sparkle remarks that it seems he already managed to convince "that Chicken Wing Boy from The Family", asking him if he achieved it by stripping himself naked and apologizing to Sunday on his knees, swearing the IPC would bring no harm to Penacony, stating that he only treats people as bargaining chips. Aventurine tells her there is nothing wrong with chips, as they will never be on the losing side in a gamble. Sparkle gets tired of his behavior and takes her leave, remarking that he should try and be friends with a rock. After Sparkle is fully gone, Aventurine sighs and remarks that he will have to meet with The Family again.

Fanon[]
Like majority of the Penacony ships, Sunturine started off as a very rare pairing in the fandom with very little shippers. However they fell somewhat on the higher end of lack of popularity. Ratiorine was quick to gain significant popularity due to the the lightcone of the two together, as well as a leaked dialogue of the two, leading Sunturine to be quite overshadowed. Majority of the original Sunturine shippers were players who followed leaks and were aware of the "most handsome man in Penacony" scene. However, they did have a few shippers who liked them purely based on appearances or a whim.
After Penacony's release Sunturine quickly rose in popularity, and whilst they do not have the same popularity as ships such as Ratiorine, AcherSwan, or Stellefly/CaeFly, Sunturine are still one of the most popular Penacony pairings. Fans instantly were quick to comment on Aventurine calling both Sunday and Veritas Ratio handsome, joking that Aventurine was "flirting with every man he met". Shippers liked the fact that Aventurine disliked The Family, but willingly co-operated with Sunday and even praised his looks, and overall found the dynamic extremely shippable. The ship was fueled further by Sparkle's implications that Aventurine managed to get Sunday to ally with him through sexual favors, which many shippers took as implications that Sunturine was implied, and many joked that Sparkle "ships Sunturine". Most of the shippers typically view Aventurine as a gay man due to the suggestive way he interacts with Sunday, as well as his entire relationship with Veritas Ratio consisting of suggestive remarks and sexual tension.
Sunturine is only truly rivaled by Aventurine and Sunday's most popular ships, Ratiorine and Galladay, as they are much more popular than Aventurine and Sunday's other sips. Some fans like to ship the two with Veritas Ratio in a poly ship, Sunaventio as opposed to choosing between Sunturine and Ratiorine.
