Super Mario ships. This page is for ships with a lack of content, or for ships with minimal interactions. Please add as much content as you can to the sections below. Once a ship meets the requirements, you are welcome to create a page.
The current requirements for ship pages are:
- 20 sentences split between the canon and fanon sections, with content in both sections.
- One minimum link under the fandom section (e.g. AO3 tags, Tumblr links)

Boblivia[]
Boblivia is the ship between Olivia and Bobby the Bob-Omb
Canon[]
Olivia first meets Bobby in a tram cart with Mario. Olivia is admiring the view when Bobby asks if this is her first time out of the house. Olivia apologizes for being too loud and tells Bobby about her quest with Mario before asking why Bobby is on the tram. Bobby introduces himself as Bob-omb and tells Olivia he has amnesia, and is going on a quest to try and remember anything about his past. Olivia then asks Bobby to join her and Mario on their adventure. Bobby rejects it at first, believing he would only slow them down, and Olivia respects his decision. But he soon asks if he can still join, and Mario says yes. (saying no only gives extra lines of dialogue, you have to let him join you to progress.)
When the party reaches Autumn Mountain, Olivia asks Bobby if he thinks this is a good place to make memories, calling him Bombert. Bobby corrects her, saying his name is Bob-omb. Later, Bobby sees the blue streamer and jumps down to go check it out. Olivia warns him not to fall, calling him Bhomas. Bobby corrects her again. Olivia tells Mario she heard him this time, and calls him Bobby, the name used for him throughout the rest of the game. She and Mario then go after him, seeing that a bunch of rocks were blocking his path. Bobby sees a folded soldier and at first believes it’s another travelling companion, but Olivia stops him, warning him folded soldiers are dangerous.
Later, they find a boat, and Bobby wonders why it's all the way up here. Olivia explains to Bobby that boats are supposed to float on water, so this can’t be a boat, commenting that the amnesia might have took away some of his intelligence. Bobby tells Olivia he knows what a boat is, and concludes that the boat, combined with the nearby Cheep Cheeps, means this place was a lake that somehow dried up. Olivia, learning it’s a lake, panics at the fear of getting soaked, but Bobby tells her since the lake is dried up, she won’t get wet.
On their way to the Water Vellumental Shrine, the party goes through the Tall Grass Plains, and Bobby gets lost in the grass. Olivia assumes Bobby ran off ahead of them, commenting that it’s cute he wants to show off how fast he can be. She and Mario head to the Water Vellumental Shrine, where they see two people need to step on pressure plates to open it. Since Olivia is too light to activate it, and asks Bobby for help even though he isn’t there. Olivia realizes Bobby is probably still stuck in the tall grass, saying that they can’t get into the shrine without his “adorable little feet”. They go look for Bobby, and find him at a table with a Shy Guy wearing a Sombrero, talking about how they’re waiting for their friends. They then go to the temple, but find a Paper Macho Goomba on the bridge, who knocks Bobby off when he tries to talk to it. Olivia realizes she should have told Bobby about the Paper Macho enemies. Mario jumps down the bridge, finding himself in Chestnut Valley.
Olivia tells Mario that since he survived the fall, Bobby must have too. She then sees something round rolling down the hill, believing it’s Bobby, but it’s actually a spiky chestnut. Mario goes up the hill, finding Bobby stuck in some ground. After pulling him out of the ground, he apologizes for falling off the bridge despite promising not to slow them down. He is glad his two best buds saved his life, and this is gonna be a great memory. Olivia says she and Mario are just glad he’s okay, and tells him to be more careful. Later, after Bobby is sent flying by a bunch of chestnuts, Olivia calls Mario “Big M”, the nickname Bobby calls him, before correcting herself and commenting that now she’s calling him that. They later find him stuck in a tree, and when they knock him out of it, he’s sent tumbling down the hill, but is found at the top of the valley sleeping peacefully, and Olivia is relived to see him okay, telling Mario to wake him up gently (you have to hit him with your hammer to wake him up). When he wakes up, he mentions he found a shortcut (said shortcut is not accessible by the player) to the top.
After opening the shrine, Olivia asks Bobby if he wants to explore the shrine together, but Bobby doesn’t want to, waiting outside the shrine while Mario and Olivia go inside. In the Shrine, Olivia says that Bobby is “really missing out” on how cool it is. After clearing the shrine, Olivia tells Bobby what happened inside the shrine, and he says that maybe he’ll see it another time.

Though Rosalina and Pauline are not officially "princesses", they are often depicted as getting along with Peach and Daisy. Many argue that as a space goddess and a politically-elected mayor, they can roughly be considered "princesses" of their respective domains. Still, much like Disney princesses, many like to poke fun at the idea of two princesses teaming up with peasants.
Though they initially only had one poly tag on AO3, most fans depict them as a platonic friend group, which got them a platonic tag later on. At most, they are shipped in groups of 2-by-2. Though Pauline is far older than any of the other girls, she's the least shipped since up until the release of Super Mario Odyssey giving her a well-deserved popularity boost, she hadn't been included in spin-offs, thus not giving her many chances of interacting with the others. Fanwork reflects that by depicting her as a busy woman who didn't get much time connecting with anyone.

Wario is often believed to be Mario's and Luigi's cousin, based on an old factoid that hadn't been referenced since. In contrast to Mario Party 6 labelling them the "Unloving Bros", many fans believe that Wario likes Luigi better than Mario.

Wario Brothers[]

Waluigi first appeared in Mario Tennis, where he acted as Wario's doubles partner. When Luigi mocked Waluigi's desire to take part in the tennis tournament taking place in the game, Wario prevented Mario from interfering in the confrontation between their respective "brothers."
The two would appear again as partners in Mario Power Tennis, losing an early match to the Mario Brothers. Having been eliminated from the tournament, the pair defaced Mario and Luigi's pictures on a tournament board, only to be spotted and pursued by police. While fleeing from the law, the two encountered Bowser, and decided to join forces with him out of their mutual disdain for Mario and Luigi. After spending some time training, they disrupt the tournament finals to challenge the Mario Brothers to a rematch. However, the pair and Bowser were soon defeated by the combined efforts of the other competitors.
Waluigi and Wario would also appear in Mario Tennis Aces.
In Mario Party 5 and Mario Party 6, when playing as a team, Wario and Waluigi have the team name "Wicked Bros." In Mario Party 7 the two share the Vacuum Orb ability.

WariSyrup is the het ship between Wario and Captain Syrup.

Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land[]
After the events of the second game, Wario is still bitter over Mario reclaiming his castle, however, he had heard that the Brown Sugar-Pirates recently stole a golden statue in Princess Peach's likeness. Knowing that Mario is already looking for it, Wario plans to steal it from the thieves before Mario could find it, so that he can ask the princess for ransom so he could buy his own castle. Wario had heard of the Brown Sugar-Pirates and their leader, the notorious Captain Syrup before, but he isn't afraid of them.
When reaching Castle Syrup after braving many challenges, Wario enters the captain's bedchamber in hopes of finding the statue there. However, it turns out that Captain Syrup is actually a lovely pirate lady, who is none too pleased to find Wario barging in on her property. Instead of fighting him herself, Syrup grabs onto a magic lamp containing a powerful genie and orders him to fight for her. When Wario manages to defeat the genie and claims his lamp for himself, Captain Syrup throws a massive tantrum. She tries to kill Wario by using a comically oversized bomb, though Wario survives and the bomb merely destroys her castle, revealing that it was built around the stolen statue.
Wario Land II[]
At the beginning of the game, the Brown Sugar Pirates enact their revenge on Wario for his actions in the first game by sneaking into Wario's castle while he's sleeping and stealing all his treasure. To slow him down, they've also placed multiple distractions in the rooms of his massive castle, leading to Wario having to deal with them before he could pursue them. When Wario manages to catch up to them on their pirate ship, dropping the anchor to block their way, they sick their guard bird Bobo onto him to escape in a hot-air balloon while he's distracted. After Wario had faced multiple areas and their unique challenges on his way back to Syrup Castle, he breaks into his archenemy's home to pay her back for stealing from him. Syrup awaits him in an aircraft above a pit of lava, spouting fire geysers while Syrup is also attacking from above with bomb-like minions. Wario uses this environment to his advantage and destroys Syrup's aircraft, fleeing the building with his treasure. From afar, he watches Syrup and her minions fall out of her castle as it explodes, taking a moment to witness it before returning home.

Wasalina[]
Wasalina is the het ship between Waluigi and Rosalina.
Canon[]
Rosalina and Waluigi generally don't interact much. Their main similarity is that they are both tall.
Rosalina had joined the roster of Mario Kart since the Wii installment, while Waluigi had been playable since Double Dash on the GameCube. A similarity they have in that series is that they're both classified as "lighter heavyweights", most likely because of their height.
In the Mario & Sonic series, Rosalina and Waluigi are both given the trait of being "Good at Tube Riding".
In the Mario Party series, she joined Waluigi as an unlockable character in Star Rush. The "Yoshi's Tropical Island" title screen for Mario Party Superstars depicts them as a team when playing Volleyball. The screen for "Peach's Birthday Cake" has them both stand next to each other again, shocked at Donkey Kong dropping a tower of macarons he was holding. Finally, the "Horror Land" title screen shows them doing yoga poses next to each other.

On AO3, Wasalina is the most popular ship for both characters.
The ship mostly exists because of people noticing that both of them are the only major human characters who aren't already in popular relationships. It mostly serves as a sideship to Mareach, Luaisy and Warmona (or WariSyrup). Some people appreciate the contrast between them, comparing it to Luaisy.
Though they are often depicted as a couple in fanwork, many like to think that Waluigi is hopelessly in love with the space goddess. Others believe that Waluigi is trying to get with Rosalina after having moved on from Daisy, genuinely hoping to get a girlfriend of his own. Them often being paired together in the Mario Party title screens is sometimes interpreted as Rosalina at least enjoying his company.
