In Supergirl (Volume 4) #79, when Linda Danvers takes the original Kara Zor-El's place and arrives in the Pre-Crisis era, there is a comical scene where Superman (Clark Kent) is exposed to Pink Kryptonite, with the implication that it temporarily turned him gay and attracted to Jimmy Olsen.
Arrowverse[]
Before Superman appeared on screen, Jimmy would often talk about Clark. In fact, he was the one to give Kara her cape from Superman. Although the two slipped and accidentally informed Winn that Clark was Superman.
THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERGIRL
Kara and Clark arrive at CatCo where they run into James. The two do a secret handshake before hugging, happy to see each other. Clark remarks on everyone at the Daily Planet missing him, and James misses them as well, but he also likes living in National City. Kara is called into Cat's office and the two continue to talk.
When Cat steels away Clark, Kara asks about Cat acting weird. James just says that Cat has a thing for Clark, and it just gets a little...uncomfortable.

A rare pair in the Supergirl fandom. Since Clark and Jimmy are best friends in most universes/mediums, fans of the pairing have a lot of material to draw from. Despite their brief interaction, fans had been wanting to see the two interact as they're considered one of the most iconic comic book friendships. Fans occasionally interpret their friendship as "bro posts" on Tumblr, though not as much as other Arrowverse male friendships. More fans were drawn to the ship when "My Adventures with Superman" came out. As it was the first piece of Superman media to depict them as close friends in a long time.
Many shippers think that Jimmy may secretly be in love with Clark in canon. With many citing how devoted Jimmy is too Clark as one of the reasons.
On AO3, Superolsen is the eighth most written ship in the "My Adventures with Superman (Cartoon)" tag. there are currently 55+ works.
