TachiJou is the slash ship between Michizou Tachihara and Jouno Saigiku from the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom.
Canon[]
Tachihara and Jouno are both members of the strongest unit in the Military Police, the Hunting Dogs, but they met years before the story takes place, when Tachihara got caught trying to steal from their safe and posteriorly joined their squad. Both of them had worked for different (?) criminal organizations in the past, making it possible for a chance that they met before they were even on the same team. In the Hunting Dogs, Tachihara seems to be the member Jouno least dislikes, given he doesn't wish any ill or make harsh remarks towards him. In contrast to his other teammates, Jouno is actually nice to Tachihara and is frequently seem praising him.
Both are clear opposites of eachother. - In the outside, Tachihara is very aggressive and blunt. But once he's back in the Hunting Dogs, he's actually disciplined. He knows how to follow rules and how to do the work, even suggesting other plans that didn't disobey the orders he's given. As for Jouno, he's obligen into the right man's role, to be composed and righteous when he's vengeful and unforgiving, hiding his temper under his calm exterior.
In Episode 47, In Lament of My Wingless Body/Chapter 68, The Sadness of Those Without Wings, Part 2, is where they have their first canon interaction in the manga. Just as the four Hunting Dogs arrive, Jouno congratulates Tachihara, telling him he did a good job. While Tachihara introduces himself as the fifth Hunting Dog, Jouno stands right behind, putting Michizou's cape on for him.
Later on, in Chapter 71, Bungo Hound Dogs, Tachihara returns to the Hunting Dogs' Headquarters, being greeted by his co-workers Tecchou, Jouno and Teruko, respectively. Jouno firstly praises Tachihara for his success in the Port Mafia infiltration mission and gives him a gentle pat on the shoulder, to which a small blush can be spotted on Tachihara's face. Finally, Jouno (menacingly) gives Tachihara the task of fitting the straight man's role and do something about Tecchou and Teruko. Tachihara appears frightened by this but complies nevertheless.
In the Vol. 18 Omake, Jouno says Tachihara naturally looks like a delinquent himself, and how he could infiltrate the Port Mafia without a disguise. Later, he says the band-aid would be a nice switch between his two 'personalities' for the protection of his own mind. After the group decided what disguise Tachihara would wear, Jouno told him that eventually his skin would get sunburned and his nose bridge would stay pale, which did happen.
In Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! Chapter 87, Jouno offers Tachihara a body-pillow of Saya-Chan, the Hunting Dogs' mascot, to celebrate his return to the Headquarters. Tachihara refuses the gift, but regrets his choice once he cannot sleep at night without it.
In the Kanade Anthology, playing Tag with Teruko, Jouno uses his ability to dissipate and escape from Teruko's antics, leaving Tachihara with her. He reaches for him with his hand, telling him he wasn't playing fair, but he had already disappeared. Tachihara looks dumbfounded when Teruko burns Jouno with a torch, activating her own ability to turn him into a child.
Fanon[]
Though they're often seen as brothers or friends more than anything, JouTachi is a somewhat known ship, but it's often overshadowed by more popular ships like TachiGin and Suegiku. People believe they worked on the same criminal organization before joining the Hunting Dogs, but there's no confirmed information about that.
