Tacobook is the femslash ship between Taco and Book from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Canon[]

During the swingset challenge, Book and the rest of her team are grieving over Taco, believing that she has died. Taco is trapped in a jawbreaker next to them and is able to hear everything they're saying, but they are unable to hear her back. Book eventually concludes that, since the rest of the team was recovered by Four during the previous challenge, Taco must have been recovered as well. Not knowing that Taco is trapped inside of the jawbreaker, Book then believes that Taco has abandoned the team. Book feels betrayed by this while Taco is saddened that they are hurt by her disappearance. Taco starts yelling that she's right beside them in hopes that they can hear her. When the team is close to winning the challenge, Taco becomes convinced that Book and the rest of the team were trying to motivate her to free herself from the jawbreaker. Right as they win, the jawbreaker is broken open and Taco is excited to be released. Book, however, takes this the wrong way and shames her for not being with the team during their needs. Ice Cube, Lollipop, and Saw are also angered by what they believe is her abandonment.

Book is still mad at her and jokes about Taco being deceased in her eyes, to which Lollipop agrees with. Taco questions why the team is still making a big deal out of it.

For the sixth contest, Taco leaves the team behind while they are following A Better Name Than That to space. Book points out that she abandoned them again, upsetting the team further. However, Taco does this in order to head back to Earth to prevent her team from catching the Twinkle of Contagion so they can remain safe for the challenge.

Returning from being dead over the course of a few challenges, Taco realizes that the team, particularly Book, is still uneasy around her. Book tells Lollipop that Taco shouldn't volunteer to climb the staircase for a challenge. Lollipop, having learnt Taco's intentions during the sixth contest, suggests that Book should talk directly to Taco instead.

Lollipop wants to hear Taco's strategy to figure out who the impostor in their team is. When Book is taken aback by this, Lollipop defends Taco by saying her previous strategy helped them avoid the twinkle. Book is upset and believes that Taco will once again abandon them. Lollipop points out that she has nowhere to go since the team is currently all in one room. After they learn that Pin was in the mind of Taco, Book sees that Taco was separated from them for the challenge and starts yelling at her for abandoning them again. Lollipop, Ice Cube, and Dora start to become bothered by Book's rage over Taco.

The toxicity of her team has lead Taco to avoid hanging out with them all together. Book is spying on her and tells Lollipop that Taco is to blame for not wanting to talk to her. When the next challenge has started, Gaty tries to gather everyone around while Book is still spying on Taco. Book attempts to convince Gaty that Taco is once again at fault for separating herself from the team. Gaty pulls Book aside and has a private conversation with her. Gaty brings up to Book the fact that the team misjudged Taco for believing she abandoned them. Book flinches every time she hears Taco's name, further demonstrating Gaty's thoughts about Book being irrational towards Taco. Gaty tells her that even if they were in a crisis, Taco shouldn't be villanized. After Book says that she isn't an ally, Gaty finally turns the situation towards Book and makes herself realize the changes she's undergone from her yelling towards Taco.

Book walks over to try to apologize to Taco, but reconsiders last minute. She bumps into Pin and tries to reassure her that things are different now. Pin has seen how she acted during the impostor challenge and asks Book what her problem with Taco is. Book explains that she kept believing that Taco was going to abandon the team, but she wasn't going to say that to her just then. She admits to Pin that the tension between everyone on her team was a result of her rage. Book wanted to create a healthy environment for one of her closest friends, Ice Cube, and thought that she was standing up to Taco after she had hurt them. Having now realized her affect, Book says to Pin that she wants to make things right but doesn't know where to start. Pin offers Book that instead of trying to make Taco happy with her again, she should focus on making her happy. Before Book gets the chance, Barf Bag brings everyone's attention to an incoming infestation of lava. Book notices Taco and Ice Cube in the path of the lava flow and vows to save them. She runs up and flings the two away from its path. Taco is confused by her sacrifice, but makes it safely along with Ice Cube on top of the bathrooms' roof. Book is killed not long after by the lava.

Taco is left to ponder the purpose of Book's sacrifice. She is unsure of how to think of it and what she would tell Book. Leafy suggests that she should befriend Book since Leafy values the idea of friendship. When Taco and Ice Cube are reunited with the rest of the living team members, Gaty realizes that they're still missing Book. Taco asks Four to recover her, which surprises the team. Taco is about to talk with Book but is interrupted by Four to start their Cake at Stake ceremony. The prizes for each safe contestant are a happy thought personally delivered by Four. Taco's thought is Book's sacrifice from earlier, which further confuses Taco. Four tells her to get over it after she questions whether the thought actually is happy or not. After the team is later declared safe by Four, Taco continues to think on how she should approach Book. She eventually tells Book she wants to talk only to be interrupted by Four again.

As the cast is left to decide whether they stay with Four or switch to Two's new show, Book notices that Taco is intrigured by Four offering a BFB as a new prize. Taco wants the BFB but doesn't want to be seen as abandoning her team again. Book assures her that she won't be forced to stay and wishes her luck on her journey with Four. Taco contently walks over to the people who remain to compete with Four.

In the nightmare challenge in The Power of Two, Book is stuck in a jawbreaker akin to Taco in early BFB. Book figures that she has to confront Taco but when she is later freed from the jawbreaker, she is disappointed that Taco and her other former friends are not there.

Fanon[]

Tacobook's popularity soared during the run of the fourth season, Battle for BFDI. The ship is commonly regarded as an Enemies to Lovers relationship, since the two gained a better understanding of eachother after their conflict was resolved. Book and Taco are cited for being an influential part of each other's time throughout competing, even if their enemyship made up a good amount of it. Fanfictions of the two suggest that they still had thoughts for each other that were pushed aside because of the situation. However, they will not be able to meet again anytime soon due to being in separate seasons. Rival ships surfaced as a result of the show's split in the cast, most notably Booklow (Book x Pillow) and Tacoblock (Taco x Blocky).

On AO3, there are five works tagged under their relationship tag. It is the most written ship for Taco on the site and the second most for Book, the first being with Pillow.
