Night Warriors: Darkstalker's Revenge[]

Jon finds Felicia outpowered by a group of Huitzl robots and manages to save her by destroying them. Instead of helping Felicia up, however, Jon reprimands her for her apparent weakness. Felicia doesn't appreciate Jon's refusal to help her - only to notice that some nearby humans had seen the fight. She fears she'll be blamed for the attack on their town as she falls unconscious. Jon leaves her not long after, but not before commenting to her that humans would always fear people like them.

Jon happens upon Felicia again when she's conducting a train to draw the Huitzl attacking the town away. Felicia tries to say she hadn't figured out what she would do after, but Jon notes the amount of ordinance on the train indicates she's going to sacrifice herself to blow them up. He then tells her making herself a martyr is pointless - because he already detached some of the cars and detonated them, making the remaining Huitzl cling on to the others. With a way to destroy them without sacrificing herself now present, Felicia joins Jon in jumping off the train just as the rest of the cars blow up. Felicia thanks Jon for saving him as the werewolf questions why she'd risk her life for humans. Felicia points out that not all humans are that distrusting and more humans are becoming amicable to Darkstalkers by the day. Jon is disbelieving of Felicia's optimism about humans and Darkstalkers co-existing, but she affirms they'll live in harmony one day since they both call Earth home[1].

Darkstalkers[]

Jon and Felicia first meet at a bar in Boston while the latter is seeing a news report about the persecution of her people. When Felicia mournfully says cat-women aren't that different from humans, Jon - who's currently in human form - jadedly tells her that humanity won't accept her kind. Felicia fires back at him, telling him that she believes coexistence can happen with enough time. This does nothing to sway Jon, who tells her that her blind optimism is going to lead her to trouble. He promptly leaves the bar after that, with Felicia not enthused about him. The following night, while Felicia is auditioning for a show, a wild Jon barges into the theater while being pursued by hunters. Seeing this and hearing the hunters are discriminatory against Darkstalkers, Felicia jumps in and saves him. As the hunters retreat, however, Jon suddenly attacks Felicia while calling her a human lover. Felicia, not aware she's met the werewolf before, fights him and manages to knock him out. Felicia takes Jon to her apartment where she begins patching up his wounds and she swears to him that he's going to owe her for ruining her audition.

The next morning, Felicia wakes up to find Jon back in human form and thankful for her treating him - even finally giving her his name. However, she connects the werewolf with the man from the bar, which prompts her to comment she wouldn't have been eager to help if she knew who he was. She also reprimands him for attacking her after saving him, to which Jon apologizes since the full moon last night was heightening his feral instincts. Jon goes on to explain to her his origins from London: how a martial arts master helped rein his instincts in and how humans killed him for being a Darkstalker, himself. Hearing this story makes Felicia finally understand Jon's jaded view on human/Darkstalker relationships. After hearing he doesn't know where to go next, she offers to join her so that she has some company for some upcoming auditions and to show him that humanity isn't uniformly bigoted towards their kind. Although not convinced his view will change, Jon decides to take Felicia up on her offer[2].

The two soon leave Boston by train, with Felicia going into her feral form and posing as a regular cat so that they only needs to pay for one of them[3]. The two make a stop in Colorado and visit the orphanage where Felicia grew up. Jon stands by and watches Felicia reunite with the orphanage's caretaker and the other kids while she also introduces them to him. When the two are alone, Jon sourly comments how nice it is for Felicia to have a place to call home and people that care about her when he didn't have those - with Felicia telling him off for the pessimism. Later that night, Jon's sleep is interrupted when he hears a still awake kid going to get water. Felicia wakes up not long after and sees Jon's shock when the kid isn't terrified of him - prompting her to comment she told him that not all humans are hateful[4].

Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors[]

While still in Colorado, Jon and Felicia have to wait for the train to get repaired. To pass the time, Jon takes a nap while Felicia goes out in her feral form for some fresh air. However, Felicia gets attacked by a witch named Marjorette with a particular hatred of non-black cats. The commotion from their fight wakes up Jon, who arrives to save Felicia just as the witch is about to kill her. Jon's appearance scares off Marjorette's cat Thomas, which makes the witch leave to chase after him. The two Darkstalkers are left confused about the whole encounter[5].

Street Fighter VS. Darkstalkers[]

Jon and Felicia are two of the individuals brought by Jedha Dohma and Gill into the Majigen. Due to the presence of two full moons in this realm, Jon's wolf half starts acting up not long after arriving - which causes him to attack the trio of Chun-Li, Ken Masters, and Sagat. When the trio attempt to fight Jon off, Felicia jumps into the fray determined to protect him. The fight ends when Chun-Li manages to bring Jon back to sanity after realizing he's a martial artist. With both sides standing down, Jon and Felicia explain to the World Warriors who they are and why they attacked. They then join the trio as they head for a nearby mountain Chun-Li was being guided towards[6]. During the journey, Jon and Felicia explained more about what Darkstalkers are and their personal histories.

The group's journey is interrupted when a horde of zombies arrive to attack them. They manage to drive them away after Jon and Felicia cut down some nearby trees for Ken to set ablaze. However, Ken himself would fall under the thrall of the zombies' master Lord Raptor[7]. Jon and Felicia deal with Raptor's zombies while Chun-Li and Sagat handle Raptor and the now Violent Ken[8]. The arrival of Victor von Gerdenheim and Elena manage to turn the tide for them. Jon questions why Elena is helping and Felicia - after hearing it's because they're with Chun-Li - commenting they should hang around martial artists more often. With the added help, Jon, Felicia, and their allies manage to defeat Raptor, purify Ken, and continue their journey to the mountain[9].

Another obstacle obstructs the group in the form of Bishamon wanting to fight. When the haunted samurai initiates the battle by throwing his katana at Felicia, Jon pushes her out of the way and takes the blade in his shoulder. Despite the wound, Jon joins Felicia and the others in fighting Bishamon and his spectral soldiers[10] until they manage to temporarily defeat him. With the opening, the group climb the mountain and find a portal out of the Majigen, with Jon and Felicia more than ready to leave. The portal takes them to Jedha's mansion in the Makai Realm - and into conflict with a group led by Morrigan Aensland[11]. Jon and Felicia personally fight the dark warrior Akuma but are swiftly defeated, with their energy being absorbed by Jedah's Fetus of God empowered by Gill[12]. With both groups realizing Jedha's threat, they join together to fight the Makai ruler, his "child", and Gill. Through their efforts, Jedha and Gill are both killed and the Fetus is sealed away. In the aftermath, the exorcist Donovan asks Jon and Felicia if they'll stay in the Makai Realm since they're Darkstalkers - but they point out they consider Earth their home and leave with the rest. Sometime after, Felicia opens an orphanage with Jon serving as both a handyman and a martial arts instructor for the kids[13].

Darkstalkers: Felicia[]

When one of the children from the orphanage goes missing, Felicia has to contend with the fact that Jon is being suspected as the one who took him. Jon admits that something has been trying to awaken his his wolven half recently, but Felicia has faith that he's been doing all he can to control that side of him. Determined to prove Jon's innocence, Felicia goes out to find Kevin - only for her to be controlled by a Shadow that's also controlling an entire country club full of Darkstalkers. At the same time, the hunter Baby Bonnie Hood infiltrates orphanage in an attempt to hunt Jon. After the two find a micro-portal to the Majigen, however, the two shift their focus to the Shadow - which, as it turns out, was the thing trying to control Jon earlier.

Jon and BB find the country club and free Felicia from the Shadow's control, and then explain how it's currently controlling the child that went missing. The Shadow arrives not long after and sicks its thralls on the trio. While Felicia helps BB with them, Jon manages to free the child from the Shadow - only for it to try and control Jon, again. Jon is forced to attack Felicia as the Shadow gloats how it'll use the werewolf to feed on everyone on Earth and in Makai. Felicia hugs Jon, telling him that she believes in his ability to fight off the Shadow's influence, which works as he's able to break free. The two return with the child to the orphanage and they inform him the Shadow had likely fled back to the Majigen - but decide to omit how the nature of their relationship helped free Jon.

Fanon[]

Talbilicia is a fairy popular ship in the Darkstalkers fandom. The ship started virtually non-existent thanks to the minimal story provided by first game not even giving a chance to meet. Although the 1995 series finally got them to meet, it was the release of the Night Warriors OVA that really started this ship's popularity by providing them an interesting dichotomy: Jon's jaded pessimism about human/Darkstalker coexistence clashing Felicia's optimistic view. The UDON comics expanded this further and them showing Jon slowly warming to Felicia's view, which the fans appreciate. The irony of the pairing being essentially cat/dog is also not lost on fans and this ship has become one of the most popular examples of that particular dynamic.
