TanOcha is the het ship between Tanjiro Kamado and Ochako Uraraka from the Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia fandoms.
Canon[]
Tanjiro and Ochako don’t exist within the same universe, thus have never met each other. Despite them being from different universes they both have a somewhat similar job and goal. This being that Tanjiro and Ochako both face off against evil, which is demons for Tanjiro and villains for Ochako.
Ochako and Tanjiro both want to help out their families. Tanjiro is seen doing this by selling coal in the village near his house and he helps around the house and also takes care of his siblings. While Ochako also helps out her family and wants to earn money for them via becoming a hero.
The two of them also care a lot about those who are close to them. Both Tanjiro and Ochako are seen on multiple occasions protecting their friends from their enemies. One such being the time when Ochako protects Tsuyu from Toga and when Tanjiro is shown protecting his friends against a demon.
They are also seen standing up for their friends against others. Since Ochako is shown holding a speech regarding Izuku to the civilians during the war arc. While on the other hand Tanjiro is shown standing up for Aoi and taking her place during the mission with the Sound Hashira: Tengen Uzui.
Ochako and Tanjiro are both deemed as good-willed and kind. This is evident due to them both showing kindness to others as well as their enemies. For Ochako this is shown by her kindness towards her friends and towards Himiko Toga. While for Tanjiro this is shown by his kindness towards his friends and his kindness/empathy towards demons.
The two of them also have an ability. Tanjiro uses breathing techniques and Ochako has a quirk called zero-gravity. Despite this, they got it and use it differently. This is because Ochako was born with her ability, while Tanjiro was taught his ability. The abilities for both universes are also different in general. The abilities from Demon Slayer require a nichirin sword and many years of training. While the abilities from MHA still need training to master them, but the characters are usually born with them. Both are shown training their respective abilities through out their respective shows.
Ochako and Tanjiro are both also shown protecting and saving those in need. Despite both of them protecting those in need they do it differently, since Tanjiro kills the demons to protect and save civilians while Ochako would hand over the villains to the police.
Fanon[]
TanOcha is a lesser-known MHA/KNY crossover pairing, having a very small fanbase. There are still a few fans who support the ship.
In stories of the two, they are often depicted in the same universe. WIth this they are often portrayed as UA Students or as part of the Demon Slayer Corps, depending on which universe they are depicted in. In said stories Ochako and Tanjiro would meet each other and would become friends and would eventually fall in love with each other. Some stories have their universes combined and altered to be able work. With this most of the time being the demon slayer universe, which would then take place during the same time period as MHA. Due to this some fans like the idea of Ochako showing Tanjiro around in the city, while Tanjiro would show Ochako around in the countryside.
