Tarrana is the het ship between the White Queen and Mad Hatter from the Alice in Wonderland fandom.
Canon[]
Alice in Wonderland[]
The Mad Hatter was once the hatter of the White Queen, who is kind to his clan of fellow hatters. When she was visiting Witzend on Horunvendush Day, where Hatter is seen clapping beside her, they were attacked by the Red Queen's guards and her Jabberwocky. While chaos was happening all around, Hatter was shown to make the White Queen his first priority, from how he was seen getting her to safety by leading her horse away from the ambush with an anxious look on his face. After Hatter's dispute with his father on the Toomalie Day, and hasn't spoken to him since therefore, it appears that Mirana was his first and foremost his predominant consideration.
In the manga adaption of the 2010 film, Hatter states that he is a member of the White Queen's resistance. Fighting to put the White Queen back on the throne and end the Red Queen's rain of tertiary. When Alice did return, Hatter was taking her to the White Queen but gets captured in the way. Making sure the White Queen's champion gets away from the Red Queen's guards.
When the White Queen is standing by the balcony of her castle with Alice on the night before the Frabjous Day, she is waiting for the Hatter rather expressionless. Once The Hatter arrives, she immediately shows a look of jauntiness looking through the telescope exclaiming "We have company". Before the start of the battle of Frabjous Day, Hatter was the first to offer himself as the White Queen's champion to face the Jabberwocky. Despite his loyalty and bravely, the White Queen knew that only Alice can serve that role. Leaving Hatter to serve as one of the brave volunteers to fight along side the White Queen's army.
Alice Through The Looking-Glass[]
When Alice falls down from the door by the White Queen's castle and the Hatter's house, Her Majesty, The White Queen proclaims that "on the contrary, we were afraid you weren't coming at all". Meaning that she gives the impression she was the most downhearted when informing Alice about the Hatter. After Alice discovers that the Hatter is at risk of death, she informs her Majesty so, foreboding the others, with The White Queen with the most despondent face. She considers beseeching Alice to ask permission from time to use the chronosphere to save the Hatters family from being killed, as no-one else could. However, she hesitates in a fret from a concerned Nivins Mctwisp who deemed it as "too dangerous". In the end, The White Queen ( as well as the others) decided Alice should be sent to do so after she voluntarily implores she'd help Hatter as he is her truest friend, in a melancholy
On The Toomalie Day event, after the failed coronation of Iracebeth, Mirana pleads The Hightopps, specifically Mr and Mrs Hightopp, to stay and listen. Apologising to them (perhaps attempting to infer that it wasn't Tarrant's fault so she could convince him to come back and help his relationship with his father).
When the Hatter is lying in his deathbed, the White Queen is standing in silence while sobbing by the time Alice arrives. Having discovered that the Hightopps hadn't truly been killed. Shortly after the chronosphere is put back in place, after Iracebeth's and Mirana's embrace, Tarrant says "I beg for any intrusion" before asking the White Queen for help to bring his family to their normal size. When doing so, the White Queen willingly does so (contentedly).
Fanon[]
Tarrana is known to be the least popular ship, due to the lack of chemistry. Despite the loyalty Hatter displayed towards her in the Tim Burton films. Therefore it technically makes sense and only most possible inside the story as when Alice says she fears she may never come back to Wonderland. As Hatter and the White Queen are around the same age, regarding it wouldn't be unusual to ship them.
They'd get on very well, since not only Hatter had invited The Queen to Witzend, he was also Hatter to her as well. Alice also gives up her fathers stopwatch to Time, plausibly making her not so successful to stay in Wonderland (forever) along with the remembrance of her father who partially reminded her of it. Alice had also cut her hair to fit in with her destiny. This doesn't necessarily mean she would forget Wonderland, but the Mad Hatter would have someone he loved closer than a friend, that is. The White Queen as encountered of their interactions (which don't give immediately a spark of love between them) but indirectly, in some measure, noticeable.
