Terufumi is the slash ship between Hifumi Yamada and Teruteru Hanamura from the Danganronpa fandom.
Canon[]
Hifumi Yamada is a character from Danagnronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and Teruteru Hanamura is a character from Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. As such, the two have been shown to interact within the "canon" of Danganronpa. However, they both would have attended Hope's Peak Academy at the same time, with Teruteru being one year above Hifumi, so it is possible that they may have met. This is only speculation, however, as Class 78 is barely seen in the Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School anime. The pair do share some interactions in non-canonical materials.
Hifumi and Teruteru were both forced into killing games by Junko Enoshima. They both died within their respective games, Teruteru being executed for the murder of the Ultimate Imposter, and Hifumi at the hands of Celestia Ludenberg. However Hifumi is one of the only characters in the game to be both a victim and a blackened, as he murdered Kiyotaka Ishimaru before his death. This means that Teruteru and Hifumi are both killers, at the end of the day. They were both known to kill for love, Hifumi for his love of Alter Ego and Teruteru for the love of his mother. Along with Miu Iruma, both boys are known for being the "perverted" characters of their respective games. They are also both some of the only overweight characters in the Danganronpa series.
The pair share an interaction in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan. Teruteru stops by Hifumi's booth at the school festival, where he is selling his original manga. Hifumi asks if Teruteru is interested in 2D, and Teruteru says that while it would be exciting to be shown 2D by Hifumi he is actually here to bring Hifumi some snacks. Hifumi is surprised by this, and asks if Teruteru is his wife. Teruteru seems disappointed by this comment, as he'd assumed that Hifumi was into "Boys Love". Hifumi reacts in a shocked manner, but admits that the food Teruteru brought him was delicious.
The pair share multiple interactions in the non-canonical Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. In one scene, Teruteru cooks Hifumi some kalua pork. Hifumi takes pictures of the dish, telling Teruteru that his food fills him with inspiration. They then begin to discuss the variety of cooking-based managa that exist. Teruteru seems impressed, and Hifumi offers to lend him some of the manga in question. Hifumi then continues by saying he'd need to add something to his manga to stand out from all the others, and suggests eroticism. This piques Teruteru's attention, and he agrees that the more eroticism the better. Hifumi says he would be glad to have Teruteru read his work, and offers him the role of supervising editor. They share another scene with Celeste. Teruteru compliments Hifumi's body and his Princess Piggles' swim trunks. Celeste arrives, and asks Hifumi to make her an iced milk tea. Teruteru offers cookies, and Celeste accepts, although calls him a pig in the process. Teruteru oinks, and Hifumi acts appalled at this. Teruteru says that he thought Hifumi would have his back, and Hifumi replies that 2D is his one true love.

Hifumi and Teruteru are some of the most hated characters in the Danganronpa series. They are both considered to be "unattractive" by conventional standards, due to the fact that they are both overweight. This is likely why they are more disliked in the fandom than other perverted characters in the series, such as Leon Kuwata or Kazuichi Soda. The ship likely sailed as a result of them being two disliked/underrated characters, who share a penchant for perverseness.
Terufumi is still considered to be a rarepair, with only 5 works currently on AO3. Still, it remains to be one of Hifumi's more popular ships as most fans of Danganronpa tend to ignore his existence altogether.
