Reach for the Stars & Gone Buck Wild![]

Tess meets Gabby and Ellie in the NYC airport
Tess meets Gabby in the NYC airport with Ellie, who reveals to already know the dark-haired woman since they are schoolmates. Gabby is excited to interact with Tess in person, and was a mutual pleasure on the other woman too. Later on, the three girls found themselves in the same team, sticking together throughout the game, as Ellie feels as the two girls are the only two she can trust amongst everybody.
- “I'm mixed on my team. I'm glad I have Gabby and Tess, but having to deal with sheriff Himbo's grudge is gonna prove difficult.”
- — Ellie's expresses her please to have Tess and Gabby on her team, but dislikes Tom.

In the tent; Gabby and Ellie distanced from Tess
At night, in the team tent, Gabby asks about their first storm in Tipiskaw after Tess expresses her negative feelings towards thunderstorms, and Ellie's answer is "Nothing" when she's asked by her girlfriend about what she was doing that night during the Jensen problem. In the challenge, Gabby leaves one of the trucks with a few animals on her, showing her natural wildlife love, and grants her friends a new home (on Tess and Ellie). The ginger woman receives a bird whereas Tess holds a squirrel on her hand and Gabby keeps an iguana on her head.

Holding animals
On their way to the goal, they're faced by Fiore, Hunter and Ally who were stepping in to try stealing the animals for points, and while Tess and Gabby successfully make their way at the team zone, Ellie is ambushed by an upcoming Hunter. However the bird flies away after snatching it from the woman and also having pecked Hunter in the eye.
H2Oh-No![]

Worried over Tom and Aiden's scream
Ellie makes a Girl's alliance with Gabby, Tess and Lake, as she feels that they work very well together. When the team loses, Tess, Gabby and Ellie reunite to talk about the votes, and as they're waiting for Lake, Ellie expresses her worry towards the german girl, and Gabby worriedly interprets this as if Lake wasn't committed to the alliance, however Tess still thinks that they should vote for [Tom or Aiden].

Ellie is preoccupied about Lake
When Lake arrives, Ellie informs Lake that the three have already decided to vote for Aiden (after she refuses to vote for her best friend), however in the end the alliance doesn't come into a notable agreement. In the elimination ceremony, Ellie proceeds to betray Lake by voting her off, breaking the alliance, but still working with Tess and Gabby.
Sandbag Sabotage[]
The three fail to score a point for their team on their first attempts, but the former alliance founder, Ellie, is granted a free one by Alec as part of the latter's plan since there was something he needed to take care of. When she reaches the finish line, Tess smiles and Gabby celebrates, calling Ellie "her baddie".
The Turbulent Triathlon[]

Tess, Ellie and Gabby in their pajamas
Tess walks to Gabby and Ellie to inform she had brought water, and Gabby says that she's making fire (alongside Ellie). After Tom and Aiden bring a chicken, Ellie recommends to hold a vote to decide whether they'd kill it or not, and while the girlfriends are against it, Tess breaks the tie by siding with Tom and Aiden. Gabby is utterly disappointed with Tess despite her explanation of it being the circle of life, however Ellie comforts her by suggesting the two to get fruits, to which she accepts.

Tess looks at Gabby defending Ellie
In the confessional, Ellie admits that she would've voted to eat the chicken, but didn't want Gabby to feel ostracized. When Miriam's letter about the Villains' alliance expose arrives to the Cyan Team campsite, Tom and Aiden inmediately accuse Ellie being a traitor, and as they're having a beef, Tess attempts to calm things down between the boys and the girls but she fails as they kept discussing with each other until everyone left in begrudgement.
Strike a Chord[]
During the day, the three girls can be seen speaking as a group with their fellow members around the campfire. Tess is pleased for Tom's desire because it allows him to earn a career doing what he does, and Ellie wryly advises Tess to tell her about it. Gabby enjoys seeing Tom and Ellie getting along and describes the squad as a loving family. However, Tess believes that their team is in the quiet before the storm, with everyone relaxed but secretly plotting who will blow everything up and draw first blood.

Approaching Tom and Aiden to show Gabby's masterpiece
Later, Gabby presents her masterpiece alongside Ellie and Tess, explaining to Tom and Aiden that it is a love song that the three females arranged together. Tess explains that they wanted two couples to perform in sync on stage to allow for some great harmonies. One is Ellie and Gabby, while the other is Aiden and Tom. Ellie adds that at the end, both couples have a lengthy, passionate kiss to close the song, describing it as romantic. In the confessional, the ginger reveals that the reasoning of the kiss was made up by the girls. Ultimately, the trio, along with Aiden and Tom, are shown singing Piggyback together during the challenge and celebrating after winning immunity.
Ball Busters[]
Gabby and Tess are chosen to be the attackers in the challenge's second half. Later, Tess notices Gabby is sad. Gabby tells Tess that she overheard Alec and Riya chatting and discovered that the Villains Alliance existed after all, and that Ellie is a member of it. Tess is taken aback, but she recognizes Ellie's cunning and believes the alliance is a good fit for her. Tess then proposes they talk to Ellie and give her the opportunity to explain herself, but Gabby is hesitant due to Ellie's competitiveness, so Tess volunteers to speak with her first.
Give Me Some Space![]
Tess would finally expose Ellie's lie in this episode, telling her that Gabby overheard the Yellow Team discussing [the Villains' alliance]. Ellie is astounded to learn that Gabby is aware of it, and Tess confirms, understandably upset. Ellie curses and says she hates this game, but Tess asks if she's talked to Gabby recently, and she admits they haven't, explaining that she's focused on winning and assures that Gabby understands. Tess reminds her of a time when she lost in season 1 and who was constantly by her side, eventually asking if she is willing to lose her girlfriend for the game. Ellie finds the option ludicrous, as she would obviously prefer Gabby above a million dollars. Tess asks again, but this time with a total of 3 million, but Ellie remains silent and looks away in worry. During the challenge, Tess and Gabby see a claw machine inside the spaceship, and while they don't know why it's there, Gabby comes up with the idea of winning a plush bunny for Ellie and asks Tess if she thinks Ellie would like it. Tess confirms that everything she does makes Ellie happy, but the nature lover sighs and says, 'Not recently'. However, Gabby believes that the animal would remind her that they should be having fun as well. Gabby is startled to learn that she plays it, and Tess suggests visiting her room, which is filled with [stuffed animals].
Prior to the Cyan Team's elimination ceremony, Gabby approaches her girlfriend and expresses how much she misses her, making the latter smile, and asks if she has seen Tess, to which she replies that she is someplace, but still smiling. Gabby tells that she has a gift for her from the challenge, and Ellie assumes it to be the immunity totem, which Gabby rejects, and a dejected Ellie says she will show it to her later because she wants to speak with Tess before voting, and Gabby becomes discouraged.

Gabby is disappointed on Tess for voting Ellie
Tess eventually votes Ellie out later that night, believing that she would be better off not playing the game. Ellie tells Gabby that Tess informed her that they had both found she was a member of the Villains Alliance, but she claims she joined it in her final moments and that she would not enter an alliance without Gabby. Not long after Ellie's departure, Gabby realizes she can't trust the "traitors" on her own team and considers joining the Villains' alliance in her place.
Slip & Sly[]
When Tess suggests Gabby's option of wanting to be alone, the Polish woman swiftly responds that she does not want to be alone. Tess then questions why she walked away when she needed company. Gabby may not know the answer, but she does admit that when she is alone, she has bad thoughts and begins talking to herself. Tess inquires about this, but Gabby responds that it is not schizophrenia, or at least she does not believe it is; she states that she prefers to have happy thoughts, but they also induce spiteful thoughts in her. He sighs and explains that when Ellie isn't there to console her, everything comes to a head. Tess still doesn't know what she's going through but says she's there for her and that makes things easier. Gabby, on the other hand, does not believe her because she was the cause of Ellie's elimination, but Tess reminds her that she must agree that Ellie was not in a fit state to continue playing. Gabby then questions her if that was the actual reason she wanted to vote for Ellie, stating that they could have worked things out with her and that Ellie needed the money more than anyone else in the game. Tess refutes this, claiming that she would have been worse off if they had let Ellie stay. They both express their desire for Ellie to be happy, but Tess believes she needs to relax now and that Gabby will see her soon, and she encourages her to continue fighting for her sake, stating that if the voice returns, Tess would be there for her. In the confessional, Gabby then expresses how she wouldn't find Ellie leaving an attack.
Minutes before the voting between Yellow and Cyan teams, the Villains Alliance tries to persuade Gabby when they learn that Ellie's decision to leave was not completely unanimous and Tess says that the Villains Alliance is taking advantage of Gabby and they are not voting for her out of spite. However, Gabby finally convinces herself to vote with the Yellow Team for the night's loser and whispers in Grett's ear that she wants to eliminate Tess. Following the voting, Gabby eliminates Tess with the Villains Alliance by a vote of 5 to 3. Gabby even says "oops" after the first vote is disclosed for Tess. In the last and definite vote for Tess, casted by Gabby, a note on the side of Tess' could be seen, written "say hi to Ellie for me". After Tess's elimination, Gabby says it's just a game and nothing personal, but Tess smiles and says she doesn't want them to fight over it because it's only a game. Tess then wishes the remaining three members of her team good luck and assures Gabby that she understands her and is not angry. Gabby then says goodbye to her and thanks her for helping her win Mr. Whiskers, with Tess saying hello and telling her that she will tell Ellie that she is doing well.
All’s Fair in Love and Paintball[]
When Aiden and Tom express sympathy for Tess’s elimination, Gabby exclaims that she messed with Ellie, and that is what she gets for messing with her “baddie.”
Put to the Sword[]
At the ending credits of the season, the three are seen together in a photo posted by Ellie of the latter and Tess' graduation.
Fanon[]
It's not a necessarily popular ship in the fandom, at least as a group, but the individual ships involved (GabEllie and Tessabby) have a large following. Many see this as a love triangle, both Tess and Ellie aiming for Gabby, at least for fans who aren't very much convinced of Gabby/Ellie's relationship and see Tessabby's potential. There are also Tessellie enjoyers too, but they're uncommon as the ship itself remains as a rarepair and are rather preferred as friends.
While there's no official tag yet of the poly pairing on AO3, sometimes fan fictions include Ellie/Gabby alongside Tess/Gabby's tags together.
