The battle is put to a cease, and Thad and Lizzy watch as Uzi loudly scolds her father for leaving her for dead among everyone and exiles herself from the colony.
Cabin Fever[]
As the campers arrive to the camps, Thad is shown assisting Lizzy get off the bus and laughing and chatting with her. When N and V reveal themselves to be their counselors, the two are the only campers who unhesitatingly trust them.
Mass Destruction[]
Lizzy and Thad are seen strolling outside the colony grounds; Lizzy’s attention fixated on her phone as Thad follows behind. Thad asks why Lizzy refuses to inform him on why they are wandering around. Lizzy pushes his face and claims that she is a good friend and she’s keeping secrets due to blackmail. She adds that the situation does not relate to football, in which he asks if her “secret friend” wants to learn about football but is interrupted by a sudden intense gravity shift. The two begin to float several feet off the ground before coming to an abrupt stop, falling on their face harshly. They witness J flying the space pod to the corpse house, exiting, and entering the shelter. Thad asks if J is related to what Lizzy is searching for, and she abruptly answers sharply with a “no”. A brief silence, and she admits that it is, returning to her phone.
Lizzy and Thad hide behind a pile of rubble as they observe the entrance of the corpse house, planning to ambush Serial Designation J. When Thad asks how they were going to manage such a dangerous task, Lizzy interrupts and simply claims that they start punching. Thad shuts this statement down and points out that J possesses interchangeable hands that can become guns; which Lizzy brushes off and adds that they should kick as well. Thad grows determined as this, and the two confidently approach the corpse house. Before they could enter, J activates the space pod and sends them flying backward. They watch as she flies away and turn their attention to the burning shelter cause purposely by her. They approach the scene, and Thad appears shocked whereas Lizzy snaps a photo with a grin. Khan surprisingly enters the scene and rambles to himself. He then informs the two that if his wife’s, Nori, research is correct, the planet will consume all workers in short time. Thad is about to ask a question, but Lizzy gestures at him to cut it.
As J attempts to contact Tessa via communicator when arriving near the massive hole, Thad and Lizzy arrive in a school bus alongside Khan and violently crash into her, sending her backward and causing her to drop the key to the space pod. J is visibly frustrated and threatens them with a gun. The two pose alongside each other, with Thad spinning a wrench in a similar fashion to a basketball and Lizzy perching on Uzi’s railgun.
Absolute End[]
Lizzy and Thad are seen during the final battle with Cyn. During the battle, the rogue Sentinels grabs hold of Lizzy and begins bashing her around, and Thad is seen attempting to hit it with Uzi's railgun to help her. After Cyn's defeat, as Thad and Lizzy crawl out of a crater, Thad offers his hand to Lizzy to help her out, but she pauses to take a selfie, causing her to fall, and Thad quickly catches her and pulls her up. During the end credits, they are seen in attendance at prom together (along with Uzi, N, and V), though whether they are there together or not is unknown.
Fanon[]
Thad and Lizzy’s dynamic triggers well known and popularized trope that involves the relationship between jocks and cheerleaders. However, many fans head canon the two to be related as siblings for various reasons, though there is no current confirmation of any sibling relationships among the series. The duo are commonly popularized as close and or best friends, with over 50 platonic works on AO3 and currently merely seventeen as romantic. A user had asked moderators related to glitch if the two were merely friends or even siblings, in which they were answered with a very vague answer "they were roommates". This could imply that the two possess mutual feelings and claim themselves to be "just friends" in regards to the popular roommate term from Vine. However, this has not yet been confirmed, and the two are heavily popularized and depicted to be platonic.
