Both Omega and Clone Force 99 were made in Nala Se's privet lab, where the Kaminoan altered and mutated the four clones who became the Bad Batch. Making each one of them unique and different than the rest of the clones. While Omega was the second known clone to be born unaltered, like Boba Fett, expect Omega's defect had her be born female than a male. Before Clone Force 99 was created, Omega spent her life alone in Nala Se's lab where she would watch her caretaker work on her experiments, while being kept away from others. Witnessing the birth of the Bad Batch and watching Nala Se work on their mutations filled her lonely void, until they were send away to join the others for their training. Omega was sad to see them leave and even though the four have no memory of their time in that lab, she never forgot them and was determined to find them again.

Even though Clone Force 99 developed a strong dislike for regular clones they have nicknamed "Regs," they agreed to work a mission to save a Reg clone who goes by Echo. Echo's capturers had turned him into a cyborg to gather entail from him, along with those changes making him different from the other clones, like the Bad Batch are. After Echo was saved and able to go back into the field, he wanted to go on another mission with Clone Force 99. This resulted in Echo joining Clone Force 99 and gets excepted as one of them for the rest of the Clone Wars. Their mutations and alterations had made their inhibitor chips faulty, sparing all but Crosshair from the affects of Order 66 when it was sent out.

The Clone Wars coming to an end gave Omega the opportunity to leave Nala Se's side in order to find Clone Force 99, even though they have no idea who Omega is or that their paths have crossed long ago; when she greeted them after they returned to Kamino. Where they learn that the war is over and that an Empire is replacing the Republic they were created to fight for. Omega did her best to stay close to their side, as she was determined to not be alone again or to lose the squad after she finally found her way back to them again. She even tried to warn them of Tarkin's loyalty test, but Hunter mistook her warning for anxious from the changes that the war's end brought about. Because Omega was young and has had no training on how to be a soldier, Hunter refused her request to let her join them in their mission, knowing that it would no doubt contain some dangers. Despite Omega trying to tell him that Kamino isn't safe either, before the rest of the Squad called for their leader to join them. Omega watched the Bad Batch leave for their mission before heading back inside and decided to take a quick peek at the squad's sleeping quarters. Until she got caught and than arrested for being in there, as she gets thrown into the same cell as Clone Force 99. Now has enemies of the new Empire and knowing that Kamino is no longer safe for defected clones, Hunter made sure that he and his squad take Omega with them as they make their escape, but the enhancements made to Crosshair's inhibitor chip and the way it had him turning against his squadmates forced them leave him behind. The only up side to that choice is that it allows Omega a room and spot on their five person ship.

Because either of them knew how to raise or take care of a child and were only taught how to fight in a war, Hunter and the others struggles with looking after Omega. Who has never left Kamino and knows very little about the outside world. Along with the Empire creating a whole set of new dangers for the defected clones to face. Despite this Omega wants to stay with them and hopes that they'll reconnect with Crosshair, from seeing how his departure has upset them. In hopes of giving Omega a better life than they could her, Hunter had tried to place her in the care Cut and his family, until he saw how much she wants to stay with them. To help Omega feel at home on the ship, after Hunter points out that she has no place to sleep, Wrecker gave her a makeshift room and to have her as the new owner of his doll, Lula. Tech and Echo also try to make time for Omega since she joined them. Wanting to earn her keep, Omega does her best to aid the squad in their run from the Empire and on their missions for Cid. Who gave them a job after encountering a bounty hunter who was after Omega. The youngest clone was originally going to sit on the side-lines within their ship for those missions, but after she helped her brothers to break free from the slave traders and obtain their quarry from them, they allowed her to be by their sides for the rest of them.

When Rex found out the Bad Batch haven't removed inhibitor chips he warned them that they make them a danger to Omega, until they get them removed. The headaches Wrecker was getting from his chip, after he got hit in the head to many times, the squad realise that Rex was right and agreed to have them removed before that could happen. Even though Rex had turn out fine when his chip was removed, Omega was worried that it wouldn't be the same for the others and if something were to go wrong she would be left alone. Hunter reassures her that won't happen and have Wrecker as the one to have his chip removed first, but the chip's affects kicked in before they could and he began to attack them. Luckily they were about to get the chip removed from Wrecker and Omega stayed by his side until he woke up from the surgery, before they began to have the other's chips removed as well. Not wanting to throw Omega into a life of war, Hunter turned Rex's offer to join him down. Even though the squad have taught Omega how to defend herself and a few things they had learned from their training days. Like how to use the bow she obtained from the slave traders, defusing a bomb and how to fly a ship, once she knows the ins and outs of theirs.

After their first encounter with a bounty hunter and having no idea who sent her after Omega, Tech took a sample of her DNA in hopes that it would given them answers. Not long after Omega was taken by Cad Bane and her clone brothers were forced to leave in order to escape the Empire, Tech got the results from his scan that revealed both the why and who was after her. With the Kaminoans having no idea where to find Boba Fett and wanting to continue making clones for the Empire, Omega was their only pure source of Jengo Fett's genetic material to finance their operation. As the squad try to figure out where Omega was taken, their little sister had manged to escape from Bane and got in contact with the Bad Batch before making her way back to them. Because Hunter was hurt before she was taken, Omega hugs him from seeing that he is okay before asking him why people were after her. This got Echo to advise Hunter to tell Omega the truth. Frightened of what would happen to her should the Kaminoans mange to get her back, Hunter calms her fears by promising Omega that he'll keep her safe and that she'll never be brought back to Kamino again. Despite her all deal, Omega was happy to be with the squad again and continued on like it never happened. Hunter, however, decided to keep Omega away from any further dangers and for them to lay low. As well as him being over protective of her, while the others think that she is fine. Wrecker even tells Hunter that Omega seemed unaffected by what they recently learned, but Hunter wasn't convinced and agreed to Cid's offer to have Omega stay in her care, while they go on another dangerous mission. Omega was upset that they left her behind, while Hunter acted like Omega was still with them on the mission and realised how important she is on them. After they got back Hunter and Omega made a deal that allows her to go on missions with them again.

Just as the Bad Batch have served as Omega's teachers, carers and protectors, she has served as their moral compass to do the right thing during the early days of the Empire's rule. Like helping Cid for helping them when they needed it, free a group of rebel Twi'leks and to help Rex save a fellow Reg. Even though them agreeing to do the right thing for Omega and those she has asked them to help has Clone Force 99 finding themselves in dangerous situations. As one of them led to Hunter getting captured while he orders the others to leave before the same could happen to them.

The bonds that Clone Force 99 has formed with Omega is one of the main reasons why people love the Bad Batch series, along with how the clones serve as father and uncle figures than just older brothers to Omega. Hunter is seen as the main dad, from him being the group's leader and the way he has been shown to be the most closes with Omega. Hence why fans have replaced "Bad" with "Dad" in the title of this Star Wars series. Along with one group thinking of them as the second Ghost Crew or an earlier version of them, since The Bad Batch takes place years before the Rebels series; and already had three Ghost crew members make cameo appearances in season one.

Some time skip AU's have a teenage or grownup Omega wearing the same type of armour as her brothers. Making her a true Bad Batcher than the young "side kick" who tags along. Some drawings of this AU include a much older Hunter being proud of his daughter.

Even though Crosshair defected from the Bad Batch at the end of "Aftermath" and has served as an enemy of Clone Force 99 for the rest of the first season, some fans still like to include him in the Dad Batch. Hoping that he'll re-join the squad and become part of Omega's life, like the rest of his brothers have. The aftermath of "Outpost" gave fans hope that it might come to that, once the Bad Batch save him.

Many were sad when Echo left the squad and how it affected Omega, even though they do understand why he left to join Red and are hoping that their missions will at some point have Echo work with the Bad Batch again. The second season focusing on Tech to showcase his character development, however, had also got fans to worry that he might end up being killed at the end of the season. Possibly when saving Crosshair or Omega from the Empire.

Trivia[]

  • Echo is the only clone in the squad to originally be born a Reg, making him an "adopted bother" of the defected clones. Even though they were all born from the DNA of Jengo Jett, the four originally clones of Force 99 doesn't see or think of themselves as part of the other regular clones. Echo, however, is an exception to them, since he is no longer like the other Regs and likes the defected clones who helped Rex to save him.
  • The number of times Omega has found herself in danger relates to what Cut and Su had told Hunter, children always find ways to get themselves into trouble. Even when they aren't looking for it.
