The Hearts is the poly ship between Pencil, Coiny, and Fries from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
The team was formed when all three members stood on mats with heart symbols. Pencil is immediately disgusted with her team members. The rules for the challenge are announced: the first team to have all three members enter the birdhouse would be safe from elimination, and the other six contestants would be put up for voting. Fries attempts to shove himself into the birdhouse, but after failure, Coiny attempts to crush him down to a smaller size. Bomby accuses Needle of disloyalty to W.O.A.H. Bunch, so she worriedly promises she's loyal to W.O.A.H. Bunch, and goes to talk to Freesmart for a moment. Needle asks if they will be teamed up later, and Pencil ensures her they will be. Pencil brings up the fact that Needle has yet to show Pencil an act of sacrifice, but Needle tells her about the jetpack she gave to Book and Ruby. Unfortunately, Book was taken back to her team by Nickel to continue competing, so Pencil doesn't buy Needle's story. Needle goes back to Tennis Ball and asks if they can fit, but he assures her that they can't. Pencil mentions that "Stacy" said you shrink when nobody is thinking about you.
Pencil encourages Coiny as he's crushing Fries into a ball. Coiny then says that it's Pencil's turn now. Pencil recommends stealing The Quasi-Rhombi's shrink ray, which Fries agrees to. Fries runs up and grabs it as Bomby get's partially shrunken. Fries then uses the ray on Pencil too many times, making her really small, so Fries puts her with his fries. The Stars decide they need to steal the Heart's shrink ray, but Book feels bad stealing from Pencil. Book and Pin then get in an argument about whether Pencil or Coiny is more chaotic and rude.
Meanwhile, Pencil is taste-testing Fries' fries. The argument ends with Book not wanting to steal from Pencil and Pin not wanting to steal from Coiny, so Nickel suggests stealing from Fries, which they agree to. Nickel walks off-screen to Fries and returns a few seconds later with a square hole in the middle of his face. The Stars decide to ambush the Hearts, so Book throws Pin at Fries. Pin bites and throws him, and he ends up stuck in Pin's garbage disposal. The shrink ray landed in Coiny's possession, which Book tries to take. After dodging some bullets, Book uses the personified shield in her pages to get up close and trap Coiny. Coiny calls for Pencil's help, so she jumps onto Pin and enters her mechanical wheels. Pencil messes with some wires, causing the garbage disposal to shoot out Fries. Fries falls back and the 6 contestants fight over the shrink ray, causing it to accidentally shoot the birdhouse they need to enter. Firey Jr. remarks how the contestants will have to get even smaller, but Pencil mentions how she's already small enough.

This ship is a rarepair in the community. This comes from the episode, Spore Day, where the three of them are forced to pair up due to miscommunication. The viewers noticed early on that they grew a bond really fast. They were the only team that was strategic but had no inner conflict between the members. Small shippers started to ship them romantically because of their interactions that episode and the proceeding episode because the three of them had a few smaller interactions. The other ships in that episode are The Stars and The Quasi, but they aren't as popular because the pairings in that group already were popular in their own right.
