The current requirements for ship pages are:
- 20 sentences split between the canon and fanon sections, with content in both sections.
- One minimum link under the fandom section (e.g. AO3 tags, Tumblr links)

Deep in the woods there was a sorceress who watched over the balance of the Triforce and is able to see moments through time and space. This allowed her to become star struck with the legendary hero but learning that he and his past lives were all linked to another woman wounded her heart. Knowing that she could never have him. Being distracted by the green clad hero when she gets attacked by a dark force who pushes the light out of her body, leads to Cia having a desire to claim the hero's soul. Reaping chaos and war upon Hyrule, knowing that it will have Link answer the call. Bringing the hero and the Triforce piece he holds right to her, for when he comes to confront Cia.
Link wasn't aware of Cia or the location she was summoning monsters from the time portals she opened, until he met Lana. Who makes Link believe that Cia was once part of Lana's magic clan to hide the fact they she and Cia were once the same person. Lana also doesn't tell Link of Cia's obsession to make him hers, as she brings the hero and his party to her location in order to save Hyrule. Knowing that she has to be stopped.

Link had heard tales of floating islands from another time, so when Cia opened portals to three different eras and merged parts of them to the current one, Link goes to the floating island where he meets Fi. She knew that this Link wasn't the master she was waiting for, but she offers to aid him and his allies in their fight. While HW Link serves as her master for the time being, although Link was stunned and confused he accepts Fi's offer. Knowing that they will need all the help they could get.

Some Zelda fans like to think of Fi as the Navi and Midna of Skyward Sword, with her role being not so different to theirs. Serving as Link's companion and friend during his journey, before finding themselves parting ways when his adventure has reached its end. The knowledge of Fi sleeping within the iconic Master Blade, however, does make it feel that she has watched over the other Links who have picked up the blade, after she and her Link parted ways.
Because Fi isn't human or has a more humanoid form like Midna does, it has led to Fi being given a human/humanoid form for Filink. A similar idea has also been used in GhiraFi.

The Gerudo law states that the Gerudo born a male than a female, like the rest of the Gerudo are, is to be made the king of the Gerudo Tribe, giving Nabooru and her fellow tribes women little choice but to accept Ganondorf as her king. Even if she doesn't approve of him or his rule. Nabooru served Ganondorf and was able to climb the ranks to be named his second-in-command, but she doesn't fully except him as her king.

Although Ghirahim and Fi haven't properly met, Fi is aware of him through Link. While Ghirahim simply knows Fi as the sword Link wields. Fi was created after Ghirahim's master was sealed away, as part of a plan to keep it that way while Ghirahim aims to free Demise. It was later revealed that Ghirahim is a sword spirit like Fi is, and his final form is similar to hers.

Although Wolf Link is Link's wolf form from Twilight Princess and are in fact the same "person", Breath of the Wild having Wolf Link as a companion option to Link of BotW has another group view them as separate. Most of the earlier Breath of the Wild fanart were of Link with his TP wolf counterpart, as a wondering warrior and his faithful hound duo. It has also played a part in a few Zelda fanworks that are of a Princess Mononoke AU, since many feel that the Wild era has a similar energy to the Studio Ghibli film.[1]
With "Twilight Link" meeting his Hero of Time ancestor as a golden wolf before he transforms into hid Spector, it got Zelda fans to have the Hero of Twilight do the same with the other Links who came after him. Appearing before them in his wolf form, before taking the form of a ghost warrior so he too can teach them the hidden skills he was taught. This idea has sometimes been used in Breath of the Wild fanfics, as they have BotW Link experience something similar with Wolf Link of the Twilight era.
Because Wolf Link is the beast form of Twilight Link, AO3 has BotW & Wolf Link fanfics be tagged under "Link & Link". Even though the tag in the fanfics makes them say "Link & Wolf Link" and "BotW Link & Wolf Link", until they are clicked on and reveals that the fanfic websites really have it say.

MidFi[]
MidFi is the femslash ship between Midna and Fi.
Canon[]
One of the few things they have in common is that they are both companions to Link at different points in the timeline. They also share the ability to be stored near him in a convient way, Midna turns into Link's shadow, Fi turns into his sword.
The only time they could've canonically interacted is in Twilight Princess, when Link finds the Master Sword and Midna comments that she feels that the sword had accepted Link as its wielder. Neither Midna, nor the players at the time had any idea that the sword used to be a person.

As part of the crossover, Midna and Fi were recruited in the fight against Cia when the titular heroes entered their timelines. Midna was recruited by newcomer Lana, while Fi was recruited by Link.

Link first encounters Rosa in Holodrum when she is finding her way back to Subrosia. He has to follow her in secret so that he can reach Subrosia as well. During his second visit to Subrosia, Link finds Rosa on the beach lamenting that she has lost her ribbon, but he is able to buy her a new one. When he does so, she is thankful and takes him out on a date, using her key to explore the Temple of Seasons with him. Afterwards, Link can go on a date with Rosa again at any time and travel with her throughout Subrosia.
If Oracle of Seasons is played first, then Link can encounter Rosa again in Oracle of Ages while journeying throughout Labrynna. He can first encounter her on Crescent Island and help him get his shovel back from the Tokay. However, she will not follow him because she is on a vacation as an independent woman. Link can also find Rosa at the Goron Dance Hall at Rolling Ridge and will comment that the Subrosian dance is superior.

Rosalink has a small amount of popularity within the Zelda fandom. It is usually overshadowed by all other ships such as other ships in the oracles game and especially Zelink. However, some do ship them together because they did go out on a date and can continue to go out on dates in the future if the player desires to do so. There are some fans who like to point out the fact that they felt that Link was only using her for her key although this was never directly stated. Others find their relationship to be amusing because the two are different races and Rosa could even bathe in lava while Link would be hurt.

Link and Vaati have always been enemies. He first encounters him in the Minish Cap where he destroys the Picori Blade, releases monsters into Hyrule and turns Princess Zelda into stone. Link then has to go on a quest to reforge the blade and stop Vaati from finding the Light Force and taking over Hyrule. Throughout the course of his journey, he befriends Vaati's old master Ezlo and learns that the evil sorcerer was once a Minish. Link later manages to defeat Vaati, and he is sealed in the Four Sword.
In Four Swords, a Link from another generation is called to action when Vaati breaks out of the seal and snatches Princess Zelda. The hero is forced to pull the Four Sword and defeat Vaati once again. The sorcerer would not harm Hyrule again for many generations until Four Sword Adventures. The reborn Ganondorf steals the Dark Mirror and uses its power to force Link into pulling the Four Sword which releases Vaati. In the end, the hero is triumphant and Vaati is defeated for good.

Some fans theorize that Vaati is the reincarnation of Ghirahim in the same way that Ganondorf is the reincarnation of Demise. In this case, many GhiraLink shippers also ship Vaalink. However, Vaalink still is not nearly as popular as GhiraLink is.
