The Sensational Six is the friendship between Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Pluto from the Mickey Mouse and Friends and Kingdom Hearts fandoms.

The Sensational Six is the name given to Disney's most iconic and central characters: Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Pluto. Although Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was Disney's first animated character, Mickey was another first who became the mascot of the Disney corporation. He is the first member of the Sensational Six to appear. In 1928, Minnie appears for the first time in the short Plane Crazy. She, at first, only exists as Mickey's romantic interest. In the short, Mickey plays an aviation pioneer and Minnie plays his fiancé. She is the one to help Mickey keep his passion for aviation.
The next friend to join the group is Pluto. He appears for the first time in the early 1930s in The Chain Gang series. There, Mickey meets with an anonymous canine friend, who is not anthropomorphic. A similar dog appears later in The Picnic, but that's Minnie's pet. So some months later, the dog starts being known as Pluto, and he and Mickey go hunting together. From then on, he joins the friend group and keeps his name. Surprisingly, the next year, in 1941, Goofy joins the friend group as the other dog of the group, although he is antropomorphic, like Mickey and Minnie.
Regarding Donald, his first appearance alongside Mickey was back in a 1934 in the Mickey Mouse cartoon, Orphans' Benefit. There, Donald is one of a number of characters who are giving performances in a benefit for Mickey's Orphans. While it's not shown in the short how the two met each other, in the Young Donald Duck comic books, it is revealed that Donald is sent to a boarding school during fourth grade. There, he becomes Mickey's roommate. The very next day, he meets Daisy. There's no introduction to Goofy or Minnie, they just appear in the third chapter and are suddenly a part of the group of friends.
Daisy, on her part, was the last to join the friend group, in the short Mr. Duck Steps Out, from 1940. And just like Minnie, she's just presented as Donald's romantic interest.

House of Mouse[]

In Toon Town, the Sensational Six run their own night club called the House of Mouse. Mickey runs the club with Donald; Mickey does the hosting and announces the entertainment they have to offer, while Donald helps with greeting the guests. Minnie helps with the club's finances and show production, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. She is shown to help Mickey when the stress of running the club gets the best of him. Daisy takes care of the reservations at her desk and often asks Donald why he isn't the owner of the House of Duck. Despite knowing Goofy's iconic clumsiness and him not being the brightest of the six, he is tasked with the role of Head Waiter and helps the penguins from Mary Poppins serve the meals that Gus Goose makes. As the dog member of the club, Pluto acts as the mascot and assistant. Their friends, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow, Goofy's son Max Goof, and Donald's troublesome nephews also help the six with the club through their own assigned roles.

Although only three of the Sensational Six, Mickey, Donald and Goofy, have key roles in the Kingdom Hearts series, the rest of the six still appear in it. Their home world in Kingdom Hearts is known as Disney Castle. Mickey and Minnie rule the world as its King and Queen. Donald and Goofy serve King Mickey's court as the kingdom's Royal Magician and the Captain of the Royal Knights. Daisy is the Duchess of Disney Castle, and a close ally of Minnie's. Pluto is, as usual, Mickey's loyal pup. He is often used as means for King Mickey to deliver messages to the other members of the Sensational Six.

Fanon[]
The Sensational Six is one of Disney's most iconic friend groups. The characters who made up the group are historical and central characters of the company. Thus, the ship is very beloved by Disney fans in general.
Due to the fact that Daisy was the last one to be added to the group, she is often left out of the group, in the one called The Fab Five. And sometimes, it's Pluto the one that is left out, with the group being Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Daisy.
Fans have also criticized the fact that Minnie and Daisy are just romantic interests to the male main characters, and sometimes they are paired together for this reason, where the characters can be explored even further.
