The Starlight Polycule is the poly ship between Rusty, Pearl, Greaseball, Electra, Dinah and Hydra from the Starlight Express fandom.

Rusty, Greaseball and Electra are all engine's competing in the race to be champion of the world. Dinah and Pearl are coach's who wish to be picked by engine's so that they can as well. With Hydra not really caring much for the race itself, as long as he can prove the value of Hydrogen. Pearl is initially introduced to the engine's, gaining interest from Rusty, but not Greaseball. Rusty then introduces her to Dinah, who in turn introduces her to the other coach's, and explains how the freight bring the yard down. Freight that includes Hydra, who tries to get the others to see why Hydrogen should be everybody's fuel. However, he gets interrupted when Electra arrives as a late entry to the race. Pearl, Dinah and Hydra are all interested, but Greaseball doesn't like how they're trying to take over. She explains why she's the current champion, with Dinah and Hydra dancing back up for her while Pearl watches.
Electra and Greaseball then confront each other, with Dinah trying to back up Greaseball. Rusty then comes in to say that he will be racing as well, joining Electra and Greaseball at the top, while Pearl, Dinah and Hydra stay with the coach's, freight and other engine's at the bottom. Rusty believes that Pearl will ride with him, but she gets an offer from Electra. She decides to say yes to them, and she competes in the first heat with Electra. Dinah rides with Greaseball and the two teams compete until they both place in the finals. Momma then enters with Hydra and ends up winning, but is exhausted by how heavy Hydra was. Rusty decides to take her place after being insulted by Greaseball and watching Pearl go with Electra.
Hydra, Dinah and Pearl hang with the other truck and coach's as they all start hyping up about the final race. Rusty tries to hype himself up, but Greaseball dismisses him. Rusty believes that Pearl will come back to him if he wins, when Electra comes out to confront Greaseball. They insult Dinah as Greaseball's choice of partner, and Greaseball says that any car would be lucky to be with her. Rusty points out that Pearl won't, but Greaseball insists that Pearl is well aware of how fast she is. Electra is insulted and says that Greaseball is the past, while they are the future. They continue to goad each other, and Dinah tries to get them to stop, but is told to shut it several times. Greaseball tries to get Pearl on her side, while Electra does the same with Dinah, Rusty not even being considered a threat to the two. Hydra gives one final hype before everyone is told to pick new partners. Greaseball and Pearl pick each other, causing Dinah to cry, while Rusty still looks for a partner. Dinah insists she won't take Greaseball back, but when Electra wants her to be their partner she says yes, unless Greaseball changes her mind.

The Starlight Polycule is a rare ship in the StEx fandom. At least when it comes to shipping all six of them together at once. Most fans believe that the ship is a connected polycule, with many of the characters dating a few of the others, but not all of them. The idea of this polycule specifically came about from the London 2024 revival. As it was the first introduction of Hydra. Though fans had been shipping the other five, as well as other characters, in a variety of poly ships between each other prior to the revival.
