Theta is the het ship between Theseus Scamander and Leta Lestrange from the Harry Potter fandom.
Canon[]
It is unknown how exactly Theseus and Leta, though it may have been through the latter's friendship with the former's brother, Newt. The two fell in love at some point by 1927. Their plan was to get married on June 6, 1928, and have Newt as their best man. Leta, Theseus, Newt and Newt's assistant Bunty participated in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them launch, where a photo of the four was taken. An article about the event incorrectly informed Leta was engaged to Newt instead of Theseus.
Six months after the event, Leta started working at the Ministry of Magic following Theseus' advice. She and Theseus were among the Ministry workers sent to Hogwarts to question Dumbledore.
Leta and Theseus later crossed paths in Paris. Theseus told Leta that it was believed Credence Barebone was her long-lost half-brother, which Leta denied. Theseus insisted that she checked the Lestrange family records to be certain.
Both participated in the battle at the Lestrange Mausoleum. Theseus was fighting alongside other Aurors, while Leta had ended up there during her search for the Lestrange family tree. As Grindelwald was about to attack Theseus and Newt, Leta distracted him, at first appearing like she was about to join Grindelwald as well. Distracting Grindelwald cost Leta her life but gave enough time for Theseus and his allies to escape. Shortly before she died, she said "I love you" to the Scamander brothers. Theseus was devastated by Leta's death.

The pairing has gained some popularity following the announcement and later release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Though fans of the ship ultimately weren't fans of their fate. The ship name is rarely used for them. On AO3, it is the most written ship for Leta and the second most written for Theseus.
