ThorBu is the Slash ship between Lü Bu and Thor from the Record of Ragnarok fandom.
Canon[]
Thor and Lü Bu are the first competitors in the Ragnarok. As their round is about to start both where announced by Heimdall after which they entered the arena. Thor is the first one to enter the arena by teleporting/simply walking in, while Lü Bu enters the arena ontop of Red Hare, his horse. Whilst Lü Bu is moving closer while being ontop of Red Hare, Thor removes his robe. After Lü Bu gets off Red Hare and gets his weapon, the two of them proceed to not move from their spot at all and just stare at each other. As Heimdall says that Thor and Lü Bu's battle is about to start, both Lü Bu and Thor lower their weapons and aren't taking any stance. After a bit the two casually start walking towards each other. Eventually when the distance between them is small the two both stand still. Then Lü Bu readies his weaopon and proceeds to attack Thor, however Thor blocks this attack with Mjölnir. While Thor got pushed back, Lü Bu prepares to lunge an attack towards him. Thor blocks this attack which pushes Lü Bu back and goes on to attack Lü Bu, however Lü Bu blocks this and this clash causes the ground to shatter a bit due to the pressure of it. A moment after Thor jumps back and prepares one of his signature attacks called "Thor's Hammer". Meanwhile Huginn & Muninn talk about this attack inwhich Muninn believes that Thor has some respect for Lü Bu since otherwise Thor would not use Thor's Hammer on a mere human. Thor goes on to launch his attack which creates a shockwave and engolves the arena with dust, after said dust cleared it is revealed that Lü Bu managed to block Thor's attack and Lü Bu manages to injure Thor. Due to what just happened Thor has a surpised reaction on his face. While looking surpised Lü Bu complimented him and goes on to laugh maniacally. A moment later Thor checks his wound and says that it is a waste that he is a mere human, while having a smile on his face.
Thor and Lü Bu continue to clash with each other while having a smile on their faces. During one of their clashes Lü Bu's weapon starts glowing and it is revealed that that is because of a Valkyrie who used Völundr. After which Lü Bu uses his weapon to move Thor's hammer to the ground and attacks Thor, Thor on the other hand lets go of his hammer and blocks Lü Bu's attack with his armor glove. Lü Bu manages to break his glove which surpizes him. Right after humanity starts cheering for Lü Bu, while Lü Bu stood still for a moment before he attacks Thor multiply times with eventually landing a hit. Suddenly Mjölnir starts emminating smoke and is making noise which confuses Lü Bu. After some time heart beats can be heard coming from Mjölnir, as this happens Thor walks up to his weapon saying that it finally awoke. Whilst Lü Bu continues to stand still puzzled by the situation, Thor proceeds to take of his other armor glove and throws it to the ground which leaves a small crater. After this Thor picks up Mjölnir and wields it with two hands, whilst doing so Thor says human, before changing it to Lü Bu, I have a favor to ask you. Thor charges up Mjölnir with thunder and prepares for an attack, whilst saying to Lü Bu don't die. Lü Bu is then shown grinning as a responds. Some moments later Thor goes on to throw Mjölnir straight towards Lü Bu, Lü Bu manages to dodge Mjölnir and after immediately charges towards Thor. Whilst Lü Bu is about to attack, Mjölnir returns from behind him which he notices and manages to dodge it and immediately charges towards Thor again. Meanwhile Thor catches Mjölnir and uses the momentum to unleash his special move called "Geirröd Thor's Hammer" and swings towards the approaching Lü Bu, who met this with his most maniacal smile. Right after there is an explosion, as the dust clears, a bit after, Lü Bu can be seen blocking the attack. However because of the pressure and force of the attack both of his legs got shattered and he sinks to the ground. The two then both stare at each other. Thor goes on to raise his weapon, as he does so Red Hare runs into the arena and goes to Lü Bu after which he lowers his weapon. As Lü Bu tries to stand up Thor just stares at him, when Lü Bu managed to stand up Thor started smilling and laughing. Lü Bu goes on to climb onto Red Hare and circles around Thor and prepares to attack with his special technique called "Sky Eater". As Lü Bu charges towards Thor, Thor throws Mjölnir and catches it again and uses it to counter attack Lü Bu's attack. Both use their special moves whilst having a maniacal grin on there faces. As their attacks hit the others weapon with great force, this eventually causes Lü Bu's weapon to break and lets Thor's attack through, which causes Lü Bu to lose an arm and greatly damages the other one. Lü Bu looking at his damaged arm proceeds to tear it of with his mouth. Lü Bu then charges one last time towards Thor with a smile of joy on his face, meanwhile Thor readies his attack and as soon as Lü Bu is close enough he beheads him. With moments later Lü Bu's dead body falling from Red Hare. Before Thor walks away he cleans the wound that Lü Bu inflicted on him earlier on. Whilst walking away with Heimdall Thor looks saddened. Suddenly Red Hare appears behind Thor with tears in his eyes and a bit after Chen Gong appears next to him proclaiming that their existence is meaningless in a world without Lü Bu and asks Thor to let them join Lü Bu. Chen Gong along with rest of the army proceeds to charge towards Thor, whilst Heimdall tries to stop them Thor agrees to their request. Thor charges up an attack and says, with a slight smile on his face, "For that man... An offering for my Friend, Lü Bu." and kills Lü Bu's army in one attack. After that Thor looks up to the sky as Lü Bu and his army and the Valkyrie Randgriz disappear after which he closes his eyes, whilst looking saddened.
Thor and Lü Bu have a single thing in common which is that they both take out their enemies in a single blow. It is also mentioned that this is the first for either of them to meet an opponent who has withstand a blow from them. The narrator later during battle goes to mention that both Lü Bu and Thor thought of the same thing which is that if the circumstances were different the two of them could have been friends.
Fanon[]
ThorBu is a popular pairing in the fandom. Many people like the fact that the two of them despite being opponents saw each other as rivals and held some respect for each other. This pairing also especially gained attention when after Thor and Lü Bu's battle had ended, Thor looked saddened and when he fulfilled the request of Lü Bu's army, he called Lü Bu his friend.
