Tico Sisters is the family ship between Rose and Paige Tico from the Star Wars fandom.
Canon[]
Paige and Rose are a pair of sisters from Hays Minor who join the Resistance together. Paige is five years older than Rose. As young girls, Paige and Rose dreamed of taking to the sky. When the First Order came to their planet in an attempt to mine their ores, the sisters did what they could to try and sabotage the efforts. Unfortunately, their work goes unnoticed and the First Order decimates their homeworld. This pushes them to join the Resistance, and together they are put to work in Cobalt Squadron. The sisters work on a gun ship together, with Paige as the gunner and Rose as the mechanic.
While working with Cobalt Squadron, Paige and Rose join a rescue mission for the planet Atterra Bravo. Much like Hays Minor, it is being drained of its resources by the First Order. Not wanting to see another world fall the way that theirs did, the sisters do everything in their power to help the people of Atterra. The First Order catches onto their actions, so Paige suggests an alternative drop plan. This means that Paige and Rose will fly in different ships, a thought that makes Rose uncomfortable. When she protests, another mechanic offers to let Rose have her spot on the ship with Paige.
After their rescue mission concludes, the sisters witness the destruction of Hosnian Prime. Knowing that war is coming, the Resistance begins to prepare. Paige boards a bomber ship, and Rose joins Amilyn Holdo on the Ninka. Rose now feels better about being apart from her sister, thinking that as long as they have their shared necklaces then they will always be together.
During the evacuation of D'Qar, Paige sacrifices herself to help decimate the First Order's forces. Her death devastates Rose, who is later seen looking at her half of the necklace and crying. When she spots Finn trying to escape the Raddus, she angrily stuns him. She tells Finn that her sister just died trying to protect them, and that his running proves that he is only a coward.
A year after her sister's death, Rose develops a new type of bomb which she calls the "Paiger", in Paige's honor.

Tico Sisters is a generally well-liked relationship in the Star Wars fandom, although it isn't necessarily a popular one. Rose herself is a divisive character, with some ill-intentioned fans even calling her worse than Jar Jar Binks. Paige herself gets very little screen time, and the two girls are not even seen interacting together in the film. Although they are shown together often in expanded material such as comics, novels, and short stories, this sort of content is generally only sought out by the biggest of Star Wars fans.
Those who do enjoy the relationship between Paige and Rose tend to like how brave the sisters are. They also enjoy the sister-sister dynamic, as it is one of the few in the Star Wars series. Fanworks for the Tico Sisters often focus on their childhood rather than their time in the Resistance. Fans like to imagine how Paige and Rose became a pilot and a mechanic, respectively. There are others, however, who like to focus on the tragedy of Paige's death for the maximum amount of angst. This relationship was most popular after the release of The Last Jedi, but has since died down considerably with the general lack of Rose content.
