In Wayne Family Adventures Tim's character description states that he is a coffee addict. He often has coffee when working and has a favorite mug that eventually got destroyed by Damian.

Tim having a coffee addiction is a very popular headcanon among fans. Fans got the idea for this, as a common perception of Tim is him getting so lost in a case that he forgets to sleep. Or just because he would have a late night on patrol. Thus would need large amount of coffee/caffeine to stay awake throughout the day. While others have the belief that he has insomnia and would need the coffee for that reason. Though this is actually a rather contentious headcanon over the wider fandom overall. As many see the headcanon becoming more accepted as canon, not liking how it confuses many fans who had just recently got into the fandom. Some also don't think there's enough canon evidence to actually support the headcanon, as more often Tim drinks Tea rather than Coffee. Some of these fans will purposefully go out of their way to subvert this in their fics, and even have attention be drawn to it.
A common joke among fans is that Tim would have an extremely ridiculous coffee order. Only instead of being for more out there flavors, it would be for the amount of caffeine or sugar in the drink. Often giving him too many espresso shots or way to many sugars. Some will depict the other members of the Batfamily reacting in shock and horror to the amount, often having Jason suggest he do illegal substances instead to get the same result. Many shippers will often include Tim being a coffee addict as a plot point in their fics. Often having the person they ship Tim with take away his coffee so that he will stop working and get some sleep.
There is a decent amount of fans in the "MariBat" crossover AU's. Some Tim and Marinette shippers, giving Marinette a coffee addiction as well for similar reasons.
