Timbaa is the slash ship between Timon and Pumbaa from the The Lion King fandom.

Canon

Timon and Pumbaa are the ones who rescue Simba at the desert after he fell there, exhausted. They thought Simba was going to be food for them. However, Pumbaa tells Timon that he might still be alive. As soon as Timon realizes that Simba is a lion, he tells Pumbaa to run away from there. But Pumbaa is quick to tell him that Simba is just a baby. Then, Pumbaa finds him so cute, and realizes that Simba is alone, so he asks Timon if they can "keep him." Timon opposes this fervently. However, Pumbaa manages to convince him that Simba can become a great ally for them.

So the two of them help Simba and take care of him. Since Simba was so depressed after his father's death, he didn't want to do anything at all. Yet, the two of them start friendly approaching him, talking with him and eventually teaching him all about "Hakuna Matata," a life with no worries. Timon and Pumbaa realize that Simba is an outcast, just like them. So Pumbaa opens up about his past, and how he was ostracized by everyone around him for his smell, except for Timon, who is his life-long friend. Later, the two of them show Simba the place they live in. Simba marvels at the sight, but Timon and Pumbaa explain that they live anywhere they want to.

When Nala convinces Simba to come back to his kingdom, Timon and Pumbaa are devastated and sad to see him go. However, the two of them join Simba's team to fight off the hyenas while Scar tries to escape. Because they tell Simba that if it's important to him, then they will be with him "to the end."

As Pumbaa and Timon were watching the first film and Timon wanted to skip to the two that they come into the story, their fight of going back to the beginning of the film or sticking to the parts they appear in the official story, in gets revealed that the two have been part of the early beginning events before they met Simba. Giving them the idea to share their story, of not only how they met but also the parts they secretly played at the beginning of the first story and the events that lend to their first official appearance in it.

Little Simba grows and is raised by Timon and Pumbaa, learning to live a carefree life. When Simba lost his dad, Pumbaa and Timon rescued him and saved him from the deadly state he was in. After this, they take him with them and raise them as his parents, as Timon himself describes it in The Lion King 3. Simba grows to be an adult with the two of them, up until Nala convinces him to go back to his kingdom. Simba is very protective of Timon and Pumbaa and the three of them remain close even after defeating Scar.

Timbaa became a really popular ship amongst fans of The Lion King movies who realized that the two of them basically raised Simba together, and that they share a lot of tropes that have been historically linked to LGBT+ people. This led many fans to start calling the two of them Simba's "gay adoptive dads."
