Battle Trial Arc[]
In the end of the Battle Trial Arc, Chapter 11, Izuku is back from Recovery Girl's office and returns to class. As he enters it, he earns praise from some of his classmates. Izuku then wonders where Katsuki went. Although some of his classmates told him not to go look for Katsuki, Izuku does it anyway. Izuku approaches Katsuki and tells him the truth; that he obtained his Quirk from someone else and has not been deceiving him. However, Katsuki does not believe in his story and says to Izuku that he lost fair and square. Katsuki's pride has clearly been damaged, he begins to cry while he explains that Shoto's powers, as well as Momo's critique, has made him realize he still has work to do. Before storming off, he warns Izuku that he's just getting started, and will not lose again. All Might arrives to console Katsuki again, but Katsuki refuses him and promises to surpass the number one hero without his help. Katsuki declares to Izuku that from now on, he is going to be Number One. All Might then appears before Katsuki, trying to counsel him on self-confidence, although he is told in response by Katsuki that he will surpass him as well, thus All Might decides to leave Katsuki alone, finding that teaching can be difficult.
USJ Arc[]
The three of them along with Eijiro helps All Might fight Nomu.
Sports Festival Arc[]

Izuku surpasses Katsuki and Shoto
While Katsuki and Shoto are busy with each other in the obstacle race, Izuku appears from behind using his metal plate of robot and surpasses them, making the both of them angry and dissappointed of themselves
Shoto originally saw Izuku as his arch-rival, due to him having connections with All Might (a person with whom his father has a major rivalry with). Izuku, on the other hand, has always held great respect for Shoto, admitting that he is far stronger than him. Shoto confronts Izuku at the U.A. Sports Festival, asking if he is All Might's secret love child, but the latter denies this as Shoto decides to reveal his family history. Katsuki overheared there, hiding behind a wall while listening to their conversation. After hearing Shoto's tragic backstory and seeing his sadness, Izuku starts to show sympathy for the pain he went through and resolves to help him overcome his dark past by getting him to use his power, telling Shoto that the power is his own and not his father‘s. Although Izuku loses to Shoto while trying to help him, Izuku's actions do have an impact as Shoto starts reacquainting himself with parts of his past he had forgotten and stops rejecting his power. Shoto also recognizes that Izuku knowingly insisted on helping him, despite knowing it would lead to Shoto's victory. In the waiting room, Shoto ponders the conflicting thoughts of his mother's breakdown and Izuku's encouragement. He's interrupted when Katsuki abruptly kicks in the door and berates him for being in the wrong room. Katsuki quickly realizes that he is actually the one in the wrong waiting room, but decides to stay, irritated by Shoto's lack of acknowledgement.
Katsuki tries to intimidate Shoto by slightly blasting the table and warning him to do his best. Shoto replies that Izuku had told him the same thing, and comments that he was foolish for trying to help him rather then winning the match. He asks Katsuki if Izuku was helpful during their childhood, but this only infuriates the former. Katsuki kicks over the table and yells for Shoto to ignore Izuku and his family issues so that he can use his fire during their bout. He angrily exits the room and states he wants everyone to know he beat Shoto at full strength. The final battle of the U.A. Sports Festival begins with Shoto using a more controlled version of the giant ice attack he defeated Hanta with. Katsuki endures the ice blast by tunneling through it using his explosions. Katsuki rushes Shoto, commenting that his attacks are powerful but he has bad aim and needs to try harder. Shoto moves to counter attack, but Katsuki evades using a mid air explosion and grabs onto Shoto's left side before throwing him. Shoto creates and surfs an ice wave to avoid going out of bounds. Katsuki attacks again and Shoto is able to stop him by evading his blast and grabbing onto his forearm. Rather than using the flames in his left arm, the same arm he used to grab Katsuki, he simply tosses him away. This only angers Katsuki, causing him to ask if he's unworthy of Shoto's flames since Izuku get to fight Shoto's flames but he didn't.
Forest Training Camp Arc[]
Class 1-A arrives at the facility they're supposed to camp in, battered and tired. It is now 5:20 pm in the evening. Pixie-Bob admits that she thought they would take longer to get to the facility; she praises Class 1-A for figuring out her Earth Beasts quickly and easily. Pixie-Bob then commends Izuku, Tenya, Shoto, and Katsuki for taking quick action against one of her Earth Beasts and concludes that they have experienced action against villains. Izuku then asks about the boy, Kota Izumi, and wonders if one of them is his mother. Mandalay explains to Izuku that Kota is her nephew and asks him to say hello to Class 1-A. Izuku introduces himself to Kota. Suddenly, Kota punches Izuku in his crotch and begins walking away. Tenya goes to check on Izuku and admonishes Kota for his actions. However, Kota harshly replies that he does not want to be with people who want to become corny Heroes while Katsuki commented that Kota is a sweet kid, which Shoto replies by saying that's because he (Kota) is very much alike to Katsuki.
The next day at night, after Katsuki got announced as the person the Vanguard Action Squad want to kidnap, the Bakugo Bodyguard Brigade formed (Izuku, Shoto, Mezo and Fumikage). After their battle with Moonfish, they goes away, arrives at some place and sees Ochako. Himiko stops draining Ochako's blood and pushes Ochako aside, not wanting to engage a large group of enemies and not wanting to die. Before retreating, Himiko sees Izuku and blushes. Himiko retreats with Ochako wanting to follow her, but Tsuyu stops her due to Himiko's Quirk being largely unknown. After seeing that Ochako and Tsuyu are alright, Izuku asks them to join the brigade. However, Ochako and Tsuyu wonder why Katsuki is not with them. Mezo, Shoto, and Izuku turn around only to find that Fumikage and Katsuki are missing. Suddenly, a masked villain appears on a tree branch and reveals that he used his "magic" to take Katsuki by turning him into a marble. The masked magician-like villain states that the heroes do not deserve someone of Katsuki's caliber and notes that Katsuki will shine even brighter on the villains' side. Izuku demands that he give Katsuki back. Izuku demands that he gives Katsuki back because he would never work with villains due to being his own person. Shoto freezes the tree but Atsuhiro evades Shoto's attack. Atsuhiro states they are attacking the training camp to make a point, that they are proving there is not just one perspective to look at only. Atsuhiro criticizes the UA students for having their perspectives and values been chosen for them, displeased that there is no free will.
Mezo then realizes that Fumikage has also been taken. Shoto surmises that the villain sneaked up behind them and kidnapped Katsuki and Fumikage. Atsuhiro explains that his mission was to capture only Katsuki, but after seeing Fumikage overpower and defeat Moonfish so easily, he decided to kidnap Fumikage as well because of his powerful Quirk and notes that he will prove to be useful. Shoto hands unconcious Kosei to Ochako. After doing so, Shoto uses his Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall attack in an attempt to immobilize Atsuhiro. However, Atsuhiro evades and apologizes for only running away and deceiving, admitting that is what he is good at. Atsuhiro informs the Vanguard Action Squad that their target has been captured; he tells his fellow villains that the mission is done and states that they have five minutes to rendezvous at the "collection point". Shoto refuses to allow them to succeed in their mission and prepares to chase after him. Shoto prepares to chase the villain, but sees that Atsuhiro is far away due to his speed. Izuku refuses to give up and hatches a plan to save Fumikage and Katsuki; Izuku asks Ochako to make him, Shoto, and Mezo float and then tells Tsuyu to use her tongue to throw their weightless bodies as hard as she can towards the magician, which will allow the three of them to fly towards the villain with Mezo using his arms to guide their trajectory; once they are in reach of the villain Ochako will deactivate her Quirk. However, Ochako and Shoto see that Izuku's injuries are severe and think he should stay put. Izuku insists that he goes along which convinces Ochako and Shoto. They execute the plan; Tsuyu wraps her tongue around Izuku, Mezo, and Shoto while Ochako uses her Quirk to make them weightless. Tsuyu throws the weightless boys towards Atsuhiro. The three fly at Atsuhiro at high speed and reach him.
At the Vanguard Action Squad's rendezvous point, Touya asks Atsuhiro to dodge and unleashes a flamethrower straight at the students. Atsuhiro uses his Quirk to compress himself to avoid the attack; Shoto Todoroki is able to dodge Touya's flames, but Izuku and Mezo are not able to, causing their right and left arms, respectively, to be hit by the flames. In an instant, Jin appears behind Shoto and attacks him, only for Shoto to block Jin's attack with his ice which sends Jin reeling. Himiko also decides to fight and attacks Izuku, telling him her name, and thinks that he should bleed more. Mezo smacks Himiko off Izuku while Shoto deals with Jin. Atsuhiro deactivates his Quirk and approaches Touya, preparing to give the captured Fumikage and Katsuki to him. However, he searches his pocket and is unable to find the marbles containing the targets; Mezo reveals that he took the marbles from Atsuhiro immediately after they landed on the ground. Suddenly, the Vanguard Action Squad's Nomu appears as well as Kurogiri who has arrived to teleport them away. Himiko, Jin, and the Nomu go into Kurogiri's Warp Gate and successfully teleport away. Atsuhiro reveals that the marbles Mezo took are not the captured targets and are decoys instead; the marbles Mezo took transformed into ice, which shocks Mezo. Atsuhiro removes his mask and sticks out his tongue which has the actual marbles; the magician puts his mask back on while explaining that he wanted to give the young Heroes a sense of false hope and is satisfied by it as well as his flaunting which he considers a bad habit. Atsuhiro slowly enters Kurogiri's portal after bidding farewell.
Having overheard what is happening, Yuga takes action and fires his Navel Laser at Atsuhiro's face, which breaks Compress's mask and causes him to spit out the marbles containing Fumikage and Katsuki. Izuku, Mezo, and Shoto rush to grab the marbles, although Izuku starts succumbing to his injuries and falls to the ground. Mezo and Shoto continue rushing towards the marbles, Mezo grabs the marble containing Fumikage, thus saving him. Shoto is almost in reach of the marble containing Katsuki and nearly grabs it, but Touya snatches it away before Shoto can grab it. With Katsuki in his grasp, Touya orders Atsuhiro to deactivate his Quirk, he does so which frees Fumikage and Katsuki from their marble prisons. Touya and Atsuhiro begin teleporting away along with Katsuki. As the teleportation is nearing completion, Izuku gets up and desperately tries to stop Touya from taking Katsuki but to no avail. Before teleporting with the villains, Katsuki tells Izuku to stay away. Touya, Atsuhiro, and the captured Katsuki successfully teleport away. The Vanguard Action Squad has disappeared from the battlefield along with Katsuki. Izuku howls in grief due to being unable to save Katsuki.
Hideout Raid Arc[]
Izuku and Shoto, along with Eijiro, Tenya and Momo goes to the LOV's hideout to save Katsuki.
Endeavor Agency Arc[]

Shoto offering it to Katsuki and Izuku
After the christmas party with the 1-A is over and while they help pick up and clean the room, Shoto approaches Izuku and Katsuki. Knowing they have no where to go for their Work-Studies, Shoto asks them if they would be interested in coming with him to intern at his father's agency.
When the Work-Studies has started again, Enji gives a surprising and warm welcome to Izuku and Katsuki in his agency of heroes, only to quickly change his mood and show his distaste for their presence. He does not hesitate to tell both that he only accepted them because his son asked him to, and he would have preferred Shoto to come alone. Shoto tells him to stop complaining since he already accepted them, and Katsuki has no problem bluntly telling Enji that he is a jerk, although he says he will put up with it if that means he can see how the top hero operates. Katsuki's attitude displeases Enji and asks Shoto if he really is his friend. Izuku, on the other hand, thanks Enji for accepting them as interns, recalling the conversation they both had during the sports festival months ago. At that moment, the aura of intimidation around him scared him a little, but now he seems different.
A flashback is shown where Izuku and Katsuki have a conversation with All Might. All Might finds the idea that they both do the Work Studies with Enji together with Shoto great. When Izuku asks him about his training with the One For All, he replies that there should be no problems because as long he has mastered the image of "locking" and "unlocking", All Might he doesn't expect that he will experience more outbursts. As for Katsuki, All Might tells him that it will benefit him work with Enji, since both are very similar. Back to the present, while they walk down the street, Enji remarks the words that Izuku said to him at the Sports Festival, about Shoto is not like him. Suddenly, Enji runs off saying that he won’t be wasting time training others than Shoto. He then leaps into action, as he hears a disturbance. Enji tells that if they want to learn then stay behind him only to be surprised to see them already in their gear, ready for action. Izuku asks him for his instructions. Enji repeats his order to stay behind him.
Izuku, Katsuki and Shoto are chasing after Enji through the city for their Work-Studies. Izuku remarks that Enji is extremely fast, which Shoto recognizes as his Flashfire technique. In a business district, Starservant is floating high above the streets between the buildings, proclaiming that the world will soon be cloaked in darkness. The civilians see him as more of a nuisance than as a threat as they go about their business. Starservant suddenly starts absorbing the glass from the windows of the buildings, gathering the glass into a giant sphere to prepare his super move, Enlightened Fallen King. He launches the glass ball down the street, calling for the root of the darkness to appear. The glass ball does not go far before Enji flies into it and shatters it with Flashfire Fist. Enji confronts Starservant, who flees. As Enji gives chase, Starservant leads him through an alley where he has three minions ready to ambush him. As the minions prepare to attack, Izuku and Katsuki charge in ready to attack them, but Keigo flies in and takes all three of them out himself. Shoto arrives as Izuku and Katsuki recover.
Enji defeats Starservant and tells Keigo he is supposed to contact him if he wants to meet, and Keigo claims he was just passing by. As the police arrive to take Starservant away, he starts saying that Enji is the root of the darkness that the world is about to fall into. Enji seems affected by what Starservant is saying, but the police ignore him completely, affirming Enji's abilities as the top Hero. Keigo briefly chats with the three interns. Izuku introduces himself politely, Keigo reminisces his Work-Studies with Fumikage Tokoyami, and Katsuki claims he was faster than Keigo. Enji asks Keigo what he wants, to which Keigo deflects the question completely before promoting the Paranormal Liberation Front's book. Outwardly, Keigo gushes about how popular the book is and how relevant Destro's ideology is, but inwardly Keigo apologizes for being so vague, since he's wired and cannot say what he wants to say directly, and he begs Enji to read in between the lines. Enji is taken aback by Keigo' words. Seeing how Japan's No. 2 hero recommends the book, Izuku expresses his desire to read it too, thinking he could discover the secret of his speed. Upon hearing him, Keigo gives him, Shoto and Katsuki extra copies that he carried with him. Izuku comments that it’s like he is spreading a gospel, to which Keigo replies that it is a fairly accurate comparison since he had already recommended the book to friends, colleagues and other Heroes.
Before leaving, Keigo suggests to Enji that he should at least glance over the sections he marked, saying that's his second recommendation in so many words. Izuku and Shoto are impressed despite being only 22, Keigo has a very different perspective than them. To Katsuki, however, Keigo ticks him off. Once Izuku, Shoto, and Katsuki enter the headquarters of Enji Agency, they meet several of Enji's Sidekicks, who give them a hot welcome. Burnin, starts talking about the amount of work the old sidekicks face and tells the students that they are going to work very soon, and then tells Shoto not to think that he will get any special treatment just because he is Enji’s son. Izuku notices that the place is busy, and one of the sidekicks explains that that's because they handle over 100 requests every day. Katsuki wants to start now, but the sidekick tells that they have to wait for Enji's orders.
In Chapter 246, Enji, in his office has managed to decipher Keigo' warning from the book. Remembering a conversation he had with the Public Safety Commission President, who asked him to help students to gain experience fighting Villains, Enji finally understands what he has to do. On the other side, Burnin tells Izuku and Katsuki that since Enji only requested Shoto, they will probably working with the Sidekicks. This upsets Katsuki, because he wanted to work with Enji; Deku tries to calm him down, and Shoto does not agree with that decision either. At that moment, Enji leaves his office and tells three students that he will train them personally. The chapter ends with Keigo reflecting. He remembers Dabi underestimating the boys for their performance against Starservant, and Keigo thanks him for doing so, considering that he made the right move stealing their glory. Keigo believes that the new generation of Heroes is stronger than ever, and that they will play a great role in the fight against villains.
The next day, In the agency's gym, Enji agrees to train Shoto, Izuku and Katsuki personally, but first he wants Izuku and Katsuki to talk about themselves and ask them what they want to achieve, to know them better. Izuku is the first to talk, saying he wants to be able to control his power and use it with maximum performance. Enji recalls that he is the boy with a super-strength Quirk that is powerful but self-destructive. Izuku says yes, but he has found a method to control it enough to not injure himself. However, recently his Quirk has "manifested" in a different way. Enji asks him to show it. Izuku unleashes a small wisp of his Blackwhip Quirk. He explains that that's the best thing he can do right now, and even that requires intense focus to control its power, because otherwise it'll overflow and end up going wild. He clarifies to Enji that the true form of his new power is like a whip. He wants to use this new power as a weapon, and has been thinking about applying some of the concepts of his Air Force on it, and to help Enji to better understand what he wants, Izuku gives a very lengthy and detailed explanation of how his Air Force works and what he wants to achieve with his Blackwhip. Burnin, as well as Shoto and Katsuki, have a hard time understanding Izuku's verbiage, but to Burnin's surprise, Enji actually follows what Izuku's saying and what he wants.
Enji recalls the conversation he had with Izuku, before his battle against Shoto in the tournament of the U.A. Sports Festival. When Enji looking at Izuku, he empathizes with him since he's someone that has a Quirk, comparable to All Might's in terms of raw power, that's able to hurt himself, and tells Izuku that he is like them. Izuku is confused by his words. Enji asks Katsuki what he wants to achieve. Katsuki replies that unlike Izuku, he wants to learn what he cannot do. He states he already has a powerful Quirk and a great mastery over it, so now he wants to find out what it is that he lacks in order to surpass the No. 1 Hero. Enji concludes the presentations and wants to start the training already, but Shoto tells him that he has not said what he wants to achieve. Annoyed, Enji tells him that his goal is to mastering the Flashfire Fist but Shoto corrects him and is straight up with his father about what he thinks. Shoto talks about how he always resented him and uses his ice side in battle but actually ended up acting exactly how his father wanted him to. But Izuku and Katsuki have opened his eyes and he already knows what he wants to be. Shoto recognizes that Enji is very knowledgeable, and the true reason why he come to his agency is to use and learn from the actual No. 1 Hero and become worthy of the title of hero. He letting him straight up know that his inspiration to be a hero is All Might, not him, and makes it clear that he still has not forgiven him. He tells him to stop trying to act like a father figure with him in front of his friends.
Enji grieves. He thought Shoto was finally starting to open up his heart to him, but it is clear that he completely mistook his son's intentions. After accepting this, he decides to start the training. Enji goes out with his three interns. He tells them that the heroes are governed by three fundamentals: Rescue, Evacuation and Battle. Most of Hero Agencies are established of a foundation of either "Rescue" or "Battle", but in his agency he tackles all three. They should know their surroundings perfectly to detect the slightest disturbance, being the fastest to reach the scene and keep the damage to a minimum by keeping all civilians as far way as possible. With his training they will make these processes their M.O. Enji ends the lesson by telling Izuku, Shoto and Katsuki that, during the winter break, their task is to beat a villain faster than him, even if only once.
Chapter 248 opens with Izuku, Shoto and Katsuki jumping from one building to another. While doing so, Izuku reflects on his mastering over One For All, and how the continued use of Full Cowling has allowed him to activate it unconsciously, to the point that it becomes a second nature for him. Now, he must hurry to master the other six Quirks of the One For All. The three students continue with Enji's training of trying to catch a villain before him. On this occasion, they are chasing a hit-and-runner who rides a motorcycle through the alleys. The villain tries to escape through a detour, but Enji cuts off his escape route with a flame blast, causing him to fall. While the sidekicks arrest and take care of the villain, Enji tells his trainees that they are slow. Katsuki tries to justify himself with the excuse that his power takes longer to activate in the winter. Shoto asks Katsuki if he has noticed Enji's technique, and an annoyed Katsuki asks him what he thinks he noticed before him. Shoto tells that the reason why Enji is so fast is because shoots fire out off his feet to dash. Katsuki replies that it is similar to his Explosion Move.

Shoto, Katsuki and Izuku recieving the same book that Keigo gave to Enji
Once the villain is in good hands with his sidekicks, Enji leaves immediately to continue his patrol, being followed by the students. Enji instructs them that, although sometimes they can receive help from others, as he received it from Keigo in his fight against the Nomu, a Hero have to learn to do everything on his own. Then he says to Katsuki that working as a hero, excuses like his previous one don’t matter when he shows to late, because he fails to save people. He accentuates this point after saving some people from being run over by a truck. Enji gives to Shoto and Katsuki the same assignment. he must pick between learn to unleash max output for just a second or focus their powers. Once they choose one option, they have to constantly practice it repeatedly until they can dot it without thinking. During a break, Enji asks Deku if he is able of max his output for a second subconsciously, he replies that with the Full Cowling he has no problems, but with the Air Force he still need focus. Then Enji tells Deku to forget about his “secondary” ability for now and focusing only on using Air Force.
When Deku asks about the parallel processing, Enji replies that everyone does that every day without even realizing, and to ground what he is saying in reality, he uses as an analogy a driver. He was not born knowing how to drive a car, but received instructions of the individual steps to do so (steering, accelerating, braking, checking behind and ahead, etc…) until he was able to do them all at once without even thinking. Therefore, Enji advises Deku to learn to do two things at once subconsciously, and when he succeeds, throw in another thing. Enji warns the three students that in the U.A. it’s where they acquired knowledge, but it will be during his Work-Studies with him where those lessons will really take root in them. They can make all the mistakes as they need to during the process, because regardless of whether they succeed or fail, couldn't have even the slightest impact on his work. One week after they have started their work study, Enji gets a call from Fuyumi. She mentions how that she won't have as much free time now that school's about to start, and knowing that Shoto and two of his classmates are working with him, she's invites them all for a big dinner.
The Hellish Todoroki Family[]
Inside the Todoroki home, Fuyumi and Shoto tell Izuku and Katsuki about Toya, and how close he was to Natsuo. Fuyumi then says that an incident occurred after their mother was hospitalized, which only made things worse and the others couldn't let Shoto see her. She then says that she had let go of the past and when Shoto started seeing her again, she felt things were getting better, though she feels Natsuo hasn't dropped his guard yet, as he blames Enji for Touya's death. Enji then comes in and tells the three of them that he'll be taking them to school. As the three of them thank Fuyumi for the meal, Enji thanks Fuyumi for her suggestion, to which she smiles at her father. Fuyumi then thanks Izuku for being Shoto's friend. As the four of them return to the Hero Office, Enji tells the three of them that he wants them to try and get stronger on weekdays and weekends if their schedule allows, to which Shoto mentions Ochako and Eijiro going through something similar and Izuku comments on their finals. Katsuki complains about how small the car is to which the chauffeur complains right back to Enji about why he picked up what he considers high school dropouts, to which Enji says it's because he was put up top.
Just then, Enji notices a man having captured Natsuo in the road's lane lines using a manipulation Quirk and yelling for him to come out. The driver has to swerve and maneuver to avoid running over the villain. When the car stops, Enji immediately jumps out of the car before it ends up wrapped in the villain's quirk. Enji demands the villain to let his son go, but he asks Enji if he remembers him, to which Enji recognizes him as someone he arrested for assault seven years ago. The man introduces himself as Ending, and tells Enji that he had so many things he wanted but could never have. He threatens to kill Natsuo, so he begs Enji to not mess up this time and be sure to kill him. Ending yells to Enji that under the most extreme circumstances, a hero will never kill someone. Ending, however, cites how Enji killed Hood and compares himself to said Nomu after the life he has led, so Enji does not have to worry about killing another "puppet". Just as Ending tells Enji to not hold back, he covers the car with Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto with the road lines.
The three blast their way out of the car with the chauffeur tossing them their hero equipment. Ending takes a step back when he sees the interns, giving Enji an opportunity to attack the off-balance villain. However, when he notices Natsuo being held in front of Ending, Enji slows down, not wanting to endanger him, and allowing the three students to press forward. Ending laments how his "flames of hope" will still act as a hero even when his son's life is in danger, as Shoto successfully compresses the power of flames into a single point, destroying the road lines Ending sent at him while demanding the villain to release his brother. Ending starts manipulating the road lines all along the highway, saying that because Enji took his time killing him, he will make corpses pile up, sending several incoming cars into the air and putting Natsuo directly in the path of a car. Katsuki successfully condense and release his Quirk at a single point and launches himself at full speed at Ending, retrieving the restrained Natsuo while declaring that there will be no corpses if he can help it.
As Izuku sees all the cars on the road flying in the air, he jumps into the air using Delaware Smash Air Force while thinking back to what Enji said about doing things subconsciously and successfully unleashes Blackwhip, saving all the cars. He yells that he will not let any of Ending's wishes come true, thus proving that his Work-Studies with Enji bore its fruit. The shocked Ending is then defeated by a fire-covered punch from Shoto. As Enji embraces Natsuo (and Katsuki, much to his annoyance), grateful that his son's life is safe, he remarks internally how in one week, the three of them were able to successfully put what he had been teaching them into practice, as their growth was able to save a life. Enji asks Natsuo if he's hurt, to which Katsuki, who was also caught up in the hug, retorts that he's okay and asks for Enji to let him go, while Natsuo mentions how hot Enji's grasp is. After Katsuki escapes Enji's grip, he turns around and asks what happened to Ending, to which Shoto appeared, having frozen him in his ice while Ending wails that he didn't want to be stopped by Shoto. Izuku checks to make sure if any of the people were injured and claims to the other two that this was a complete victory for themselves. Katsuki points out to Enji that the three of them fulfilled the task that he gave them at the beginning of the Work-Studies about defeating a villain faster than him, to which Enji replies that they covered for his mistake at the fastest possible speed.
As Natsuo breaks free of Enji's grasp, Enji reveals that he stopped to think in that moment fearing that if he were to save him, then Natsuo would never speak to him again. Enji then confessed that he never meant to neglect him and Fuyumi all those years, but acknowledged that he failed to take responsibility by running away from them. He also acknowledges that he feels it's his own fault for Toya's fate. Natsuo tells his father he doesn't care, for he heard everything from Toya growing up and declares he will never forgive Enji, because he doesn't see himself as kind as Shoto or Fuyumi. Enji responds by saying that Natsuo still came out for Fuyumi and Rei's sakes and that he was trying to respect the feelings of his sister who is trying so hard to fix the family that Enji broke, signifying that Enji sees Natsuo as kind enough. Enji then states that it's okay if Natsuo doesn’t forgive him because he's not looking for it, he just wants to atone for his mistakes. A teary-eyed Natsuo tells him that Fuyumi had been so happy lately, but every time he looks at his father, he thinks of everything in the past. He questions why he has to be the only one to try and proactively change and what exactly will Enji do to atone. Before Enji can respond, Ending speaks up, wailing that his 'arrogant, ferocious flame' is sizzling out.
The police eventually arrive where they state Ending used a drug to enhance his Quirk, while noting that they have been decreasing in numbers on the black market. Untenmaru Kurumada tells Enji to watch himself for this was the second person who tried attacking him the past few days while commenting that the evil in society never fades, with Enji saying the light doesn't fade either. As Natsuo thanks Izuku and Katsuki, he asks Katsuki what his Hero Name is. When Izuku questions if it's just 'Bakugou', Katsuki denies it, revealing that he's picked a hero name for himself. Izuku and Shoto ask what it is but Katsuki refuses to explain, instead wanting to tell someone else first. Enji watches this and comments internally how good Keigo' eyes really are. After returning home with Natsuo, Fuyumi frantically asks if Natsuo was okay after getting attacked, to which he tells her that Shoto and his friends saved him. Enji reminds Fuyumi about the home she is trying to build for their mother to return to free of worry and how all he could do was rely on her. He then declares that he will have a new house built in a more convenient location for her and Natsuo where she can welcome their mother back to. When Fuyumi questions what he'll do, Enji reveals he intends to stay at the abode and live alone, as he realizes that the only thing he can do to help his family is to take himself out of the equation.
Paranormal Liberation Arc[]
In the class, after the others show off their new techniques and all they learned in their Work-Studies, it's finally Shoto's, Katsuki and Izuku's turn. Katsuki, Shoto, and Izuku show off what they learned working for the No. 1 Pro Hero, Enji at his agency. Katsuki shows off his improved abilities, while Shoto shows off his enhanced speed. As Izuku shows off the results of his experience and his improved control over Blackwhip, All Might recalls some of his interactions with him, holding back tears, but proudly looking on as he realizes that Izuku no longer needs his approval, as he's outgrown the need for it. Eijiro, Toru, Minoru, and Hanta congratulate Katsuki, Shoto, and Izuku for their improvements. Izuku then spots Ochako, and approaches her, thanking her properly for helping him get Blackwhip under control during their Joint Training Battle.
Fanon[]
TodoBakuDeku is very popular within the BNHA fandom and one of the most popular poly ships within the fandom as well, but the haters are so many, mainly because of the relationship of Katsuki and Izuku. BakuDeku is a ship that the fandom hates so it's common to see BakuDeku haters hating on TodoBakuDeku. The haters also hate how Izuku turned into a 'softie uwu bottom cute boy' in TodoBakuDeku, 'softie uwu bottom cute boy' Izuku are the Fanon Deku, and Fanon Deku are mainly used in TodoBakuDeku fics, so no wonder so many hated it. TodoBakuDeku are considered as one of the cringy ships because of the videos, especially in gacha videos (No hate to the fandom please), Izuku become you know, 'softie uwu bottom cute boy', Katsuki become the typical bad boy and Shoto is the bad boy sugar daddy, and made Shoto and Katsuki overly protective of Izuku in a cringy way. Some considered this ship toxic too, almost all people who consider this ship toxic is because again, BakuDeku, and the second reason is that Katsuki rivals Shoto and Izuku in an unfriendly way. But with the three's character development, some people starts to see the ship in a good way, they starts to help each others and all, gaining fans. No, the hatred of this ship didn't just goes off easily, but the ship is being able to grow despite the hatred it got. There's currently 2178+ works of them on AO3.
