Toko and Kyoko hardly have an opinion of one another. They do not interact much, save for a few lines exchanged during the class trials. Despite this, they are friends, as both girls made it out of the Killing Game alive and learned a great deal about one another through the course of that time. Their lives are precious to each other only in the way that, the other would be deeply saddened and put into grieving were that life to be lost.
Considering that both girls have a tragic past and troubles with their families, as well as insecurities about their bodies, if this does not at least create a basis for a friendship (which is canon, they are friends), it could potentially create a basis for a romantic relationship.
Though the two do not have much interaction with one another, Tokokiri can be quite popular, especially with Naegami shippers. However, it still lacks in terms of supporters, since it's overshadowed by ships such as Naegiri and Tokomaru.
The ship sailed mainly due to the girls' similarities in terms of history and personality. Fans believe that they could bond over their pasts and that their personalities would go quite well together, as Toko is deeply insecure and voices it often, while Kyoko has insecurities of her own though doesn't show them.
- Class 78th refers to the ship between the two and the other students of Class 78th.
- Tokyokohina refers to the ship between the two and Aoi Asahina.
