Tom congratulates Jake

Meet Me in Tipiskaw[]

Jake and Tom after leaving the bus ride were chosen to be part of the Teal team alongside some other contestants such as Dan, Miriam, Fiore , Grett and Drew. Jake leads the group to their tents with a map he had handed to him by one of the co-hosts, Derek. During the walk after Dan got suspicious about Tom's mask, he reveals that his skin is rather sensitive to the sun to throw off any further suspicions. After they arrived, Jake suggested to Tom and Dan that they should make a fire for light and warmth in the wilderness with Tom agreeing to help leaving Jake to happily respond saying sure. Tom is later seen causing friction between two rocks in his hands to start the fire causing smoke which aided by Jake starts a fire leading to the two congratulating one another. Fiore questions Tom's expertise only for Tom to deflect by saying its because he watches a lot of survival shows leaving his teammates with more questions in their heads.Derek started a special event where the contestants can vote someone off their own team, when in reality the voted contestants swap teams being Gabby and Fiore. First Challenge has each team with their own individual flags that they have steal from one another while using paintball guns to eliminate the opposition making the goal easier to be achieved. Tom suggests him, Jake and Dan attack the opposing team while the remaining members protect their own flag. The Team does eventually fail due to Fiore hiding the real purple flag while letting tom leave with a look-alike.

Logged & Loaded[]

Another morning starts as the two patrol the forest, with Jake asking Tom to cool off by the lake due to the scorching heat. Tom responds about perhaps doing it later as he doesn't need to Miriam get any grumpier. Jake has a heart to heart moment with Tom about how Miriam reminds him of his grandma and talks about how she's been rather ill for months; he points out that while she can be rather cranky at times, she meant the world to him. Tom sincerely wishes Jake best of luck in his dilemma and says if he needs anyone to talk to that he's always here. With Jake in the professionals telling the audience that he's happy someone will to listen to his plight. The second challenge starts as Jake and Tom decide to cut down one of the many logs for their team to ride down the hill. Jake tries to open with friendly conversation by saying since the weather is mostly cloudy, Tom shouldn't have to worry about his skin condition to which Tom deflects again saying that even without the visibility of the sun his condition will still cause him problems. Jake cheekily ponders on the idea of what Tom looks like without his mask with Tom hesitantly responds with "Maybe later". Tom, Jake and Miriam are later seen grabbing their team flags while going down the hill. Meanwhile Tom stacks the logs together so Jake can achieve the teal team flag winning the challenge and gaining immunity from elimination.

Mazed and Confused[]

Jake and Tom arrive back after fishing food for the group. The Third Challenge of the season has each team face their greatest fear, in addition if you fail to do the fear the team faces a  penalty time limit. Teal Team faces a roadblock when Jake must face the fear of being within a cemetery and refuses leaving the rest of team puzzled while Tom seemingly supports Jake's decision to back down. Tom sits with Jake and has another heart to heart moment where the latter points out that the loss of his grandfather makes the challenge far too difficult to confront. Tom comforts Jake in his time of need and gives him a helping hand as the two run together with a smile to the next challenge. Tom had a lack of data to search for a greatest fear, leading his being the anxiety of removing his mask to his team. Tom refused to do the fear with the team being split (with Dan believing Tom is too much of a good ally to lose while Gabby finds it disappointing that she had to suffer into a isolation room while he can't take off a mask).

Slip N Slide[]

The next challenge had the contestants choose a partner canoeing with to the shore as the first portion. Jake delightful asks Tom to be his partner to which he happily accepts. The next time we see them, the two are canoeing while bantering about perhaps having more to eat than just fish saying that he loves Chinese takeout food. Tom suggested that there's a restaurant that he lives by that he would love to show Tom after Disventure camp is over to which Jake happily accepts. Jake starts commenting on Tom's eyes saying their really pretty causing the latter to blush as the two look happy alongside each other. Jake is later shown cheering for Tom is in the second portion of the challenge where the contestants battle the opposing team one by one with Tom's fight and inevitable victory towards Alec.

Baking My Heart![]

The Teal Team got a working phone upon their victory in the last challenge having each of them to talk to a family member of their choosing. Jake unfortunately was left with bad news as he received a call that his grandmother just like his grandfather passed away so soon causing him to break down in tears. Tom overheard the conversation and stayed by Jake's side with a hug while Miriam looks at him with guilt. Tom leaves Jake with Miriam in the next challenge to cook, believing he isn't in the best mindset to look for ingredients after his loss. Miriam checks up on Jake and she begins trauma bonding with him saying she suffered similar loss before, having her son and husband be killed in a Car collision leaving her to act rather bitter to deflect from her feelings of loneliness and anguish.

The Most Tranquilous Game[]

Tom continues to support Jake in his emotional decline while going out to hunt food for the group, leaving Jake happy at the care and thought put into doing so. Miriam questions if Jake loves Tom due to his constant joy around him with the latter responding that he's unsure about entering a relationship after having been cheated on by his Ex boyfriend. Miriam points out that Jake needs to live in the moment while he's still young despite the painful past setback. Grett in order to cause chaos in the duos relationship told Jake that Tom is a undercover spy and he was never here for Jake only for his job. The two ended up getting kicked out of the competition as a result, losing the challenge as Gabby wins immunity after confronting Grett on her controlling behavior.

Spit It Out[]

Tom and Jake become rather distant because of their former feud with the latter believing he's been lied to by everyone at this point meanwhile the former believes his job is something he just can't lose. Ellie in her Confessionals, states that Jake is a nice guy and honestly a 5 minute conversation would have potentially mended their relationship. Miriam consoles Tom about their strained relationship believing that Jake will eventually get over and perhaps understand why he did what he did. This is followed by Ellie consoling Jake telling him that he should try to understand Tom's reasons as people are rather complex in variety of different ways. This gives Jake the courage to talk to Tom again to clarify if their relationship was just a part of his undercover job. Tom gets understandably frustrated by Jake taking this long to ask his point view.

Tom opens up to Jake about his undercover job requiring him to investigate someone and gather intel while simultaneously declaring that he loved Jake believing that they had a connection that made him rethink some things about himself. But it spirals back to Jake's outburst from the day before making Tom believe that he shouldn’t risk his career for someone who acts so impulsively.

Questionnaire, If You Dare![]

Miriam finds Jake mopping about what happened yesterday and tells him that he should tell Tom how he really feels instead of waiting for a miracle. Tom wonders the woods and confronts Tom but quickly gets shut down after it was revealed that he got fired as a spy.

Don’t Open, Campers Inside[]

Tom and Jake talk once more with the former coming clean that they were both rather selfish as both attacked the other without considering how the other might have felt. This luckily ends with the two reconciling their relationship with Tom revealing his face behind the mask as he's no longer a spy for anyone. Tom further explains that he started becoming a spy a couple of months ago, failing at his first time at the job leading to his captors leaving several scars on his face. Tom was tasked to join Disventure camp to redeem himself via getting Intel on the criminal Jensen that worked in the shadows of the survival game which he regrettably failed in too. The true reason for his mask was because he was scared about how others would see him due to his scars. Jake tries to reassure him that he looks good regardless of his scars, Tom still in denial believes Jake is just lying. In this moment of intimacy, Jake kisses tom as the latter kisses him back confirming the love they has for each other. The remaining contestants were knocked out by knockout gas and placed into a Zombie Apocalyptic scenario where they had to fed for themselves. Tom and Jake are seen surviving together during the apocalypse for presumably weeks to months on end. The two ended up being killed by Fiore who realized that the world was a VR simulation and took the opportunity to win immunity for herself.

Medal of Dis-honor[]

In the confessional, Tom states that while he didn't come to play the game he's glad that he met Jake. But their relationship begins to crash when Alec and Fiore give Ellie a ultimatum at getting into the finals by dividing the strongest alliance here being Miriam, Jake, and Tom. Ellie, desperate for the money to fix her miserable life working off several bills, claims Tom was cheating on Jake making his insecurities pile up. Fiore, at the very end, devises a plan for Tom to misuse his immunity Totem, thinking the crew would vote Jake out, but he was voted out instead. Jake tries to clear the misunderstanding but Tom became fed up with the way Jake let his own insecurities fester, instead of talking to him about the rumors, ending the relationship as Tom is eliminated. Despite his harsh words, Tom is seen tearing up when he was waiting for the Bus of Losers.

A Hearts Desire[]

After getting eliminated, Jake bumped into Tom at the Loser Hotel but the latter is still rather unresponsive much to Jake's dismay. Miriam in her race with Fiore and Ellie consoles Tom that he should at least try to get some closure with Jake as it's better if they do so without any regrets. Tom is stunned by this speech and says he'll think about it. After Miriam wins against Fiore, the criminal Jensen arrives to steal the money with Tom following him in a high pursuit chase. He said the money for Miriam and made amends with Jake, telling him that whatever happens in future they'll see each other again.

Reach for the Stars[]

Both Jake and Tom are seen competing in the new season of Disventure Camp All Stars. The competitors arrive to the host's, Krystal, private jet one by one. When Tom enters the plane and see Jake and Miriam, the atmosphere becomes rather awkward as they attempt greet the other. Miriam on the other hand, points out he could've called to which Tom replied that he was busy with his occupation as a cop and other things only to nervously walk away to his seat saying they'll talk later. It's revealed by Ellie's interviews that in the last few years, Tom ignored Jake's calls for a unknown reason. When Ellie comes aboard the plane, Tom and Jake are noticeably upset about her dragging them down in aforementioned interviews. The competitors were tasked to take a parachute and jump out the plane landing in their campgrounds; with the color of the parachute being a indicator of which team they'll be a part of. Tom is revealed to be part of the cyan team, Jake is revealed to be on magenta and Miriam is on yellow team.

Gone Buck Wild![]

The first challenge begins with the three teams needing to catch wild animals to bring through their respective team gates. In this challenge, Tom sees the Magenta Team struggling to catch a wolf tackling Jake, Ashley and James so his teammate lake could catch the animal instead. Jake runs to his gate with a woodpecker before stopping to see Tom high-five Aiden leading to him feeling sad that Tom moved on. Alec takes advantage of Jake's insecurities saying that Tom has forgotten about him and that Aiden is making his move on Tom. After the challenge was over, Jake's paranoia gets the better of him as he insights to James that Aiden may be cheating on him with Tom which starts an argument and ends in the inevitable elimination of James through the help of Ashley and Fiore. After realizing James was eliminated from the Magenta Team, Aiden is heartbroken by the discovering to which Tom comforts him much to Jake's dismay.

H2Oh-No![]

The second challenge consists of the competitors of each team diving in the water and looking for the treasure bring it to shore before other teams could. Jake laments on how he might have been overthinking things revolving around Tom and Aiden from last ceremony. Ashley consoles Jake that all they can is more forward from now on and that guilt can consume saying this from experience. Before Ashley could elaborate, Tom and Aiden hug after escaping a shark going after them causing Jake to spiral back into jealousy. Ashley tries to reassure him that maybe it isn't what he thinks, regardless she vows to help Jake in finding out the truth on what Tom is hiding. This response makes Jake happy seeing as he has a friend to rely on in this endeavor.

Sandbag Sabotage[]

In the next day, Jake and Ashley went out fishing for the Magenta Team to get some food. Jake is slightly bothered by this situation as it reminds him about the time he and tom went fishing last season. Ashley shares her story about how her careless actions with friends lead to the deaths of animals she considered family at the farm; leaving Jake in shambles as he hugs her with Ashley replying that this is what she meant that guilt is all consuming. The 3rd challenge consists of the teams fighting over a sandbag and trying to get across the finishing line first. Multiple points in the challenge Jake is seen being paranoid over Aiden's and Tom's newly found friendship. When Aiden and Jake dig to search for a sandbag, Jake asks if Tom ever talked about him at all leaving Aiden to say that he hasn't. Jake pushing Aiden down getting the bag and scoring his team a point. Tom is peeved by Jake's action responding, "real classy, Jake" while helping Aiden up leaving Jake saddened and later annoyed. After Miriam is eliminated, she reads a patron's response that wondered if Jake and Tom will get back together and she simply responds with “if only.“

The Turbulent Triathlon[]

Aiden asks Tom in worry during the challenge if Jake was mad at him or something, as he's been eyeing them for a while, and not on a friendly way, to which he nervously replies that he didn't notice, and tells him not to worry, as he was planning on talking to him. However, in the confessional, he admits having been avoiding Jake, feeling burned by what happened on their season, and decides to ditch the topic by saying he needs to look forward.

Strike a Chord[]

Jake and Ally are practicing their verses, and when Ally asks him how he was going with his own, he says that he keep thinking about Tom while writing the lyrics, and asks if it was weird. However Ally doesn't find it this way, and instead shares the same feeling but with Hunter. Jake jokes about the two being 'hopeless, lovesick romantics'. On the Cyan Team, Tess and Ellie had sorted out that Tom and Aiden would be the second couple synchronizing on stage, thus they had to kiss at the end of the performance, but Aiden reasons that he has a boyfriend whereas Tom is unable to answer despite having thought of someone. On the confessional, Tom mentions haven't gotten a chance to talk to Jake yet, and that his kiss with Aiden would only complicate things even more with Jake. Switching to Ellie's confessional, she wickedly wishes to see how Jake loses his mind again (after revealing that the reason of Tom and Aiden kissing was made up). Since Cyan Team was the first up to be presented, Jake has to see the two performing as a couple, especially their kiss. Jake comments Ashley about this latter situation, and despite she tried to calm him by saying to make sure the two (Jake and Tom) have to talk later, he replies that all he has been doing was trying to 'talk later' to him, and reasons that he doesn't wanna talk. Jake adds that Tom keeps avoiding him, but he was cool kissing Aiden in front of him. Tom is seen spectating Magenta Team's performance, especially on Jake's parts. Aiden also notices that Jake's parts had been directed to a certain someone, looking at Tom on his side in suspicion. By the end of the performance, Aiden wonders if he was the only one that thought that Jake was throwing daggers while singing, to which Tom asks if Jake was looking at him, and Aiden just says "Gee, Tom... maybe?" while rolling his eyes.

Ball Busters[]

Jake is angered at Tom trying to avoid him again

Jake is angered at Tom trying to avoid him again

Jake takes Tom by surprise when this latter was hunting, and when he attempts to greet him, Tom instead vents his anger by blaming him for losing the lunch. Jake apologizes, and Tom instead asks what was wrong, to which he replies that he thought they could finally talk. Tom stutters asking if right now, adding that he had a party of five expecting rotisserie squirrel later, trying to schedule their conversation but Jake interrupts him, now angered, reminding that he always wanted Jake to talk to him before jumping into conclusions, so here he was, and urges to take him seriously. Tom once again says sorry, and asks about the matter, to which Jake throws the bomb by questioning him if he liked Aiden. Shocked by this, an offended Tom asks where that'd come from, to which Jake brings the kissing part from the performance. Tom thought Jake would know better, and that it was just a challenge, claiming both Tom and Aiden as friends only. Jake's insecurity kicks in and asks why did Tom then keep avoiding him, furthering the question with being ghosted all these years, and that all that he wanted was for him to answer 'one lousy phone call'.

Tom tearing up to Jake's words

Tom tearing up to Jake's words

Jake also remarks in sadness that after all they've been through, all he was worth to Tom is a dial tone. Tom shares the same feeling as Jake, and looks away while notably tearing up. Jake reveals still harvoring his feelings towards Tom, being unable to stop liking him, and before requesting Tom something, the cop suddenly shares about having a boyfriend already. He hopes Jake to understand why he's not saying much else, since he didn't want to ruin a good thing. Jake shows to be comprehensive, since instead of going mad, he still wished Tom for having told him sooner, but Tom answers that his boyfriend wasn't ready to be all public about it. Jake appreciates his honesty, and hopes he's happy with the guy, because he deserves the best (hesitating on his words). Tom is surprised for his good wishes, since they meant a lot to him. However Tom has to go this time, and while saying to hope to talk soon, he excuses himself out. Jake is expressly heartbroken to this reveal, since in the confessional he's stiff to the new information, and as he struggles in his words about wishing nothing but the best, Jake cannot help it but wonder who he was kidding, since he still wasn't over him.

Aiden notices Tom tense and asks him if something happened during the morning, and Tom mentions Jake having confronted him. Surprised by this, the e-boy asks what did Jake want. When Tom explains the situation, Aiden is happy that at least Tom did the right thing by finally talking to Jake and also squashing the rumors. Tom says in uncertainness that Jake can be sensitive, but also really sweet, as he hopes he's taking it okay.

To make Jake mess up the competition, Ellie pushes Tom to Aiden and the two fall together, telling them to get a room. Jake is shocked to this as he attempts to tell Tom something, but is crushed by a ball. Jake brings his conversation with Tom up to Ashley, and she asks how'd it go, but he doesn't give further detail as they have a vote discussion to do for tonight. Jake apologizes to Ashley after she says she'd consider voting Ally tonight, saying that the Tom situation is just stressing him out. Since the mood had lightened a bit, Ashley decides to ask once again about him and Tom, but he'd rather save it for tomorrow.

Give Me Some Space![]

Ashley convinces Jake to talk with her after Ally fails to engage a friendly conversation with him, and he brings up that Tom has been dating someone, saying that he lost him good this time, and utterly blames himself while covering his tearing-up face. The guilt starts to consume Jake as he can't help but to feel that way because he drove Tom to ghost him, and that if maybe he wasn't such a self-absorbed asshole, he and Tom could have been still together, but he can't complete this latter part as he begins sobbing.

On Cyan Team's side, while Tom, Aiden, and Gabby are talking about Ellie, the former says that the stunt Ellie played past challenge was slimy as hell, and Tom asks what did she do, to which the e-boy reminds him about when she shoved Tom, and makes clear that she did it but on Aiden. Noticing that Tom is still confused at the explanation, he adds that she did it in front of Jake. The cop finally gets it, and Aiden is sure that his boyfriend can understand it, unlike Jake. However Tom denies his claim, saying that [his boyfriend]'s the best.

Slip & Sly[]

Jake and Ashley share a conversation in their team tent with the latter seeing the former is still worrying about Tom. Jake admits that he still has feelings for Tom but is saddened that his actions scared him off so he asks Ashley to help him manage his emotions better as a sign of personal growth. Ashley jokingly says that she isn't a therapist herself but is more than happy to help out a friend in need.

Jake was the first person... I felt safe enough to show my face around... since my incident. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what could've been... I waited cuz I wanted to make sure I was ready but I'm not sure I'll ever be!
—Tom opening up to Aiden on his woes about Jake on episode 9.

Meanwhile in the Cyan's campgrounds, Aiden and Tom are found talking to each other about the former missing James due to his early elimination. The two reminisce over how close James was to Aiden and how he helped him through the rough patches in life. Tom mentions how his scars unfortunately remind him of his failures, Aiden reassures the man that they represent perseverance through the most difficult situations. Quickly after he makes a comment on Tom's new boyfriend finding said scars attractive, Tom fumbles his words trying to respond leading the former calling him out on not having a boyfriend due to the many occasions where he acted suspicious around the topic being brought up. Tom comes clean explaining that he made up the lie because he was scared of being hurt again while simultaneously pondering on what could've been between him and Jake as his eyes tear up believing he might not ever be ready to confront their issues. Aiden sees Tom covering his eyes after such a heartfelt discussion and comforts him in his time of need.

When the next challenge between the three teams began, one of the rounds consists of Tom versus Jake versus Yul. Before it begins, Tom nervously asks Jake if he'd be willing to talk after the challenge was over but Jake unfortunately sees this as just a trick given the latter always avoid his confrontations; rejecting his offer leading to Tom's confusion on what he meant by that. Yul during the challenge comments on Tom's bulge to throw Jake off his game only for him fall face-first into the ground from the latter tossing a ball in his face. Jake slides the stream with Tom locking his eyes on him, not doing anything to stop him from scoring a point for Magenta Team.

All's Fair in Love and Paintball[]

After the teams merge, Jake gives a sorrowful look as Tom and Aiden leave together to the forest, and Ashley is revealed to be right by him. Despite everything, Ashley notices Jake is still trying, but smiles as she tells him to keep his emotions under control. Jake complains that it's much tougher now that they're at the same camp, but Ashley encourages him to look on the bright side: sharing camps means Tom can't avoid him, and maybe he'll start opening up. Jake responds, "One can only hope," and thanks Ashley. On the other side, Tom begins to feel awful for lying about his alleged "boyfriend" and approaches Aiden to talk things over.

Tom confronts Jake

Tom confronts Jake

Later that night, Tom and Jake share brief eye contact, and the latter leaves the campsite first, and Tom follows him a moment later. Once they're alone, Tom speaks with Jake, and while Jake accepts Tom's relationship and want to stay friends, Jake is surprised that Tom lied because both of them may be hurt, which scared Tom into believing they weren't meant to be. Jake immediately tells Tom to leave him alone, and Tom agrees.

In the challenge, Tom and Ashley decide to devise a plan to team up against the Villains' alliance, and she instructs the cop to ensure Aiden's willingness to work with Jake, while she attempts to persuade Ally and Jake to agree to a truce. After the game, Aiden informs Tom that Jake is pursuing him, despite Tom's assurances that he can persuade him otherwise, but an irritated Aiden reminds Tom that his conversations with Jake had not been going well, and that they should get Jake out of there.

Tom votes for Jake during the elimination ceremony, claiming that he left him with no choice and eventually apologizing to him. After Ashley is confirmed to be eliminated, Jake deduces that if Ashley did not vote for him, then Ally and Tom did. The cop apologizes to Jake, but he merely says "Whatever," and then focuses on Ashley.

Last Second Chance[]

The next day after Ashley's elimination, Jake is seen sitting on a log lamenting about what happened while Tom and Aiden walk out the tent with Ally following as well to talk about what's the next approach to surviving the game. At this time, Alec walks over to Jake and attempts to use the acting skills Riya taught him to persuade Jake to the villains alliance considering how his allies voted him out including Tom but Jake scoffs and says he doesn't care about Tom anymore while looking rather grumpy and calls the librarian out on his plot to fool him leaving Alec baffled.

The eliminated contestants arrived for the comeback challenge where they get paired with a remaining contestants while completing the challenge course with the winner returning to the game with immunity in the next challenge. Nina pairs Tom up with Miriam and Jake with Ashley respectively.

I didn't know... I'm sorry I was too scared to face him..I didn't want to mess up again!
—Tom confessing to Miriam his complicated situation with Jake
It's not muscles and fast legs that make you strong; having the courage to face your fears even if that means you could get hurt that's what makes you strong!
—Miriam speaking out to Tom to mending bridges with fear of messing up with Jake

As the two race up the hill, Tom is excited to work alongside Miriam reminiscent of the old times they worked together in their previous season. Miriam however calls Tom out for ghosting her and Jake, wondering if he wanted to get away from Jake, he should've told him. Tom responds tearfully saying that it was complicated and he was scared of messing things up again with Jake. Miriam shows concern for the boy while telling him that true strength comes from facing the thing you fear the most.

Hungry Like the Wolf[]

After the comeback challenge, Tom and Connor walk together carrying sticks as the former congratulates the latter on his performance. Connor tells Tom that he's ultimately glad to be here and asks him to fill him in on what happened during the past elimination. Tom explains to the older man that the villains alliance got the upper hand on the heroes because they couldn't properly work together. Connor asks why is that the case to which Tom responds that Jake has made a number of enemies with the remaining heroes. Nevertheless, he reaffirms to Connor that while Jake can be difficult, he's not a bad person.

The old man comments that Jake couldn't be that bad like what others say comparing his situation, regarding Riya which was an absolute trainwreck causing the officer to smile back upon hearing that.

He's a little difficult but I don't think Jake's a bad person
—Tom explaining his view of Jake to Connor

In the challenge, Aiden and Jake are seen escaping a wolf with the former using a trap hole to prevent the creature from getting them. Jake congratulates Aiden for making such a plan with the latter bringing up that him and Tom make traps like these earlier to hunt wild life. The mention of Tom makes Jake lament with a sad expression on the two spending so much time together. This leaves both Aiden and Jake feeling awkward around each other walking their separate ways telling one another to focus on looking for the flag.

Before the Elimination ceremony, Connor bands the heroes alliance together and raises their spirits by telling each of them that being an All Stars isn't about who deserves to be one but who wants it the most; even if it means working with people you can't stand. The remaining heroes decide to work as a unit inspired by Connor's speech. Tom does have a confessional admitting that he's glad that everyone is now on the same page and hopes Jake sticks to the plan. He voices that even though everyone has their doubts on that happening, he says he has faith in him with a smile.

Hopefully Jake sticks to the plan, maybe no one else does but I have faith in him
—Tom reaffirming his support for Jake

The voting ceremony begins, with the heroes voting for Gabby, whereas the opposing villain alliance voted for Tom. This leaves a 5-5 vote, forcing a tiebreaker between the two contestants. During the challenge, Jake is shown constantly cheering Tom on having a worried look on his face. After Tom loses the challenge, Jake is devastated to see Tom go. The officer tells his teammates that they should keep fighting the good fight regardless of his absence.

Tom promising to tell Jake the truth before his departure

Tom promising to tell Jake the truth before his departure

He then walks up to Jake, holding his hand tenderly as he makes a promise to clear the air about everything this time noting that he's sorry for causing him so much pain. Jake gets teary eyed but before he can properly respond, Trevor reminds Tom that he has to go on the Bus of Losers. The two let go of each other's hands with tearful faces as he exits the camp ground to the bus stop.

And Jake.. I promise when this is over I'll finally clear the air you won't have the worry about me dodging you anymore. I'm sorry for the pain I caused, Jake.
—Tom opening his heart to Jake before his departure

As Tom responds to the patreon members, 'JakexTom on top' causes the officer to say 'aww'. Another one says 'Jake, forget Tom and focus on you,' to which the officer becomes disheartened. After finishing reading the patreons, he says to remember that you are loved and that he hopes there are donuts in the Losers Motel.

Weight Off Your Shoulders[]

Do you feel like you deserve Tom's affection even if he's not giving it to you?
—Grett throwing Jake's feelings for Tom on the table in the challenge

During the challenge, Grett asks Jake if he believes he deserves Tom's affection even when he doesn't give it to him. Jake gets teary eyed and admits yes as the lie detector glows green indicating he was telling the truth.

Gone Downhill[]

During the elimination ceremony, Connor decided to play his totem on Jake to save him from getting voted out. Jake decides to tell the older men to play the totem on himself. Connor puts his cards down to save the blue haired boy and sits next to him telling him to not worry with a smile. Jake says we can only hope while closing his eyes looking scared of the outcome. Jake's behavior is likely due to this new situation being a neat parallel to Tom using the totem to save Jake in season 1, only for it to backfire as the votes were sent to Tom's way, leading to the downfall of their relationship.

State of Shock[]

Jake holding onto a stand with Tom's hoodie

Jake holding onto a stand with Tom's hoodie

During the challenge, the contestants are given the task to dress up a mannequin with the clothes of a former All Stars contestant assigned to them. Jake smirks as he's assigned with modeling his mannequin after Tom.

No Vacancy[]

Krystal and Oliver visit the Loser motel to record the aftermath of the former All Stars player's experiences ever since they got eliminated. Aiden walks over to see Tom dipping his feet in the pool seemingly deep in thought. The e-boy tells the officer that he's missing out at a one-sided game of charades to which the latter says he'll be fine as acting isn't his thing. Aiden chuckles at his response but can see there's something still lingering on Tom's mind. Tom cracks as Aiden presses further coming clean that he's been giving himself a hard time letting his fears get the better of him throughout the course of the season.

Aiden reassures him that he tried to own up to it but Tom stops him by saying that he wanted to protect him and Jake but his avoidance leads to causing the latter even more harm. The officer explained that he came back to All Stars to prove to the world and Jake how far he has come rather than just some heartbroken fool.

I really do... I never stopped. He's so kind and despite his anxieties,he really sees the best in people. He saw past the wall I put up in our season
—Tom expressing to Aiden, his love for Jake hasn't changed

But in the end, he feels like he was simply a jerk as his face becomes disheartened. Aiden puts his hand on Tom's shoulder as he begins consoling him, making a comparison to his relationship mentioning that he thought James was a jerk at first but saw his heart & Jake can see Tom's as well. The officer was indeed rather flabbergasted by Aiden's sentiment asking if he really thinks that as the latter asks Tom if he still loves Jake, wanting him to be honest with how he truly feels. Tom buckles down and admits that after all this time he still loves him and appreciates his unbridled kindness in spite of his shortcomings. This tender moment gets cut short when Aiden and Tom are shocked by Krystal's recording of their conversation alongside Oliver.

Tom and Aiden meet up with Ashley, Lake,Miriam and James as they finish their game of charades. Krystal and Oliver appear once more to ask the following players about their thoughts on the finalists. Although most give a positive note to Jake & Ally, James is the first to show disdain for Jake's position remarking how he always keeps making the same mistakes, saying that he's the reason Connor left in first place. Tom during the whole conversation shows a bit of frustration by James's words. All the former All Stars players are joined together at a dining table as Grett cooks hamburgers on a grill while Tom delivers them on a plate. After Gabby gets her vegan burger, she mentions that she was dying to know when Tom will ask Jake out.

Tom scratches his head in embarrassment as he smiles and says he definitely will. Ellie remarks "about time" and Ashley along with Gabby are seen proud of him. However the same can't be for others, James makes a sly remark that Tom can do much better only to get nudged in the arm by Aiden for his comment. Krystal tasks the former All Stars players with finding totems within places around the motel using their clues written on their cards. The first three people to find their totems will aid the finalist of their choosing and if said finalist does win, the helper gets a piece of the 3 million preferably only $100K to be exact. In a confessional, Tom is shown determined to win the challenge so he can help Jake in the final and tell him how he really felt about him all the time. He does mention offhandedly that he might tell him before they cross the finish line as he doesn't want to come across as a gold digger as he chuckles a bit.

During the challenge, upon the sight of giant scorpions, the officer begins to feel very worried for his ex's safety which only increases after a cave in crushes all the finalists leading to him crying out "where's Jake?" followed by Hunter adding "and Ally?". Alec spots that the contestants are okay on the monitors as they all managed to escape the rumble blocking their pathway.

“Jake… from the moment I met you I felt a connection more than I have with anyone, I'm sorry I took so long to realize. I wanna stop hiding and stop being scared of the future. I know we never did this but will you.. will you go on a date with me?”

Tom begins practicing how to convey his true feelings for Jake to a tree with a picture of him. But much to his embarrassment, Ashley appears behind him, teasing him on the matter and confronts Tom seeing that by his performance that he's not very good at this. The cowgirl explains to the officer that Jake already likes him so it shouldn't be too hard to tell him everything. Tom responds that even if that's the case that Jake should be with someone strong unlike himself who was scared of responding to his calls, but at the end of the day he hopes to make it up to him. In the confessionals, Ashley expresses her surprise to see Tom struggling with similar issues to Jake and declares that she'll do all that she can to help the two finally communicate their feelings for eachother.

When it was time for the two finalists to select a helper, Tom looks anxious as he almost gets up to ask Jake to choose him as a helper but Ally got there before him vowing to beat Riya together as they promised. Jake decides for his second helper to be Ashley much to Tom's disappointment but the cowgirl sees this as she decides to abstain telling the blue haired boy that there might be someone who's more eager to work by your side as she pays the sacred man on the back. Jake awkwardly chooses Tom leading to the latter changing to a more cheerful demeanor telling him that they got this in the bag as Ashley smiles at his confidence. Jake has a confessional, where he's intrigued to have a chance to patch things up with Tom but he reminds himself that he needs to focus on the game right now. Tom in return has his own confessional being confused on why communicating his feelings is so difficult when he's been interrogated by mob bosses in the past.

Ally and Tom get into battle ready positions as they attempt to form a plan to help Jake progress further in the Colosseum showdown. The former inputs a plan but the police officer politely stops her by saying that they should hear what Jake has planned which Ally nods in agreement. Jake is flabbergasted by this choice of action but Tom reassures him that he made it this far after all so it only makes sense for them to put their trust in his decision making. Jake half-heartedly says for the two of them to protect him.in the confessionals, Tom says that's his guy to the camera making his hands heart shaped saying that he's proud of him.

Two Gladiators appear at a moment's notice firing arrows at Jake's way leading to the officer to instinctively push his ex out of the way. This does lead to a rather intimate moment as Tom appears on top of Jake as the two begin to blush heavily upon noticing how close their faces were to each other. Ally tells them that they can have their moment later cuz right now they need to focus on surviving this gladiator encounter getting the two to change their focus at the task at hand.

Riya devises a plan to get Jake hit by the arrows through Alec trapping him in an arm lock, Ally and Tom notice Jake's in trouble as his allies rush to his aid. Tom is unfortunately stopped in his tracks by Ellie and Riya who decide to double team the officer with consecutive sword strikes as he is forced to parry them. Jake steps on Alec's foot escaping his grasp as he and Ally use their shields to defend against the onslaught of arrows coming their way. Tom is getting overwhelmed by Riya’s and Ellie's combined effort but manages to push them back in time to join his teammates to create a barricade to prevent any incoming arrows from hitting Jake.

Jake starts running from a Gladiator Archer riding a chariot and trips falling to the ground as he was about to be shot until Tom jumps in at the last second to intercept them. He then tells Ally to help him cover all bases to protect Jake as the gamer girl nods and says with confidence that they've got this in the bag. Riya diverts the attention of a tamed tiger to Jake's group, throwing a boulder at Tom causing the wild animal to jump on him leaving the other two shocked as Riya trips up the gamer girl while she's distracted leaving Jake to get swarmed by arrows at every front.

In the break session, Tom wipes off the paint stains on Jake's body from the challenge with a napkin. He shows regret that they couldn't win the upgraded armor plate for Jake in the final portion to which Jake responds that it's surprising that Riya would stoop so low to win. The police officer reiterates that this is Riya we're talking about leading to Jake smirking saying that he guesses it's not that surprising as the two share a bit of laughter from the moment. Tom takes this time to tell Jake that he wanted to be forward about why he's been ghosting him but he gets cut off by Jake who's glad to see Tom's willingness to be honest with him but reminds him that they can talk about this after he helps him win this game. The two share a glance as the officer raises his hand to his head saluting to Jake that he'll be there for him.

Tom is shown boosting up Jake to the battle platform to confront Riya. In the bleachers, Tom suggests to his ex to prevent Riya from pushing him into a corner where he can't counterattack. In the second break session, Jake believes he has an actual shot at winning this as Tom smiles at him as he massages his shoulders for the next round.

After Riya strikes Jake's throat with her sword, the boy begins struggling to breath for a bit as Tom rushes to his ex's side. Jake slowly gets back his breathing but to the shock of everyone, he decides to give up. Tom decides to hold Jake's body in his hands as he nuzzles his head on his ex's head while telling him to take deep breathes. Tom begins to tear up seeing Jake's condition as he tells him that he'll pull through. In the heat of the moment, Tom spills his heart out to Jake as he tells him that he'll be here for him and confesses his undying love to the blue haired boy. The officer explains that he never answered Jake's calls cuz he was haunted by his past and believed that he was just gonna make another mistake but Jake reminded him that he's more than his past.

Tom proclaimed that he cared about him for the longest time and asks if there could still be a chance for them. Before he could utter another line, Jake pulls him in for a kiss reciprocating his feelings as Tom kisses him back. After they stopped, Tom smirks with a wink on his face cheekily saying that "I suppose that is a yes" as Jake smiles back responding with "definitely at least a maybe'".

Despite his best efforts, Jake ends up losing the duel to Riya to the shock of all the eliminated contestants upon seeing the defeat. Tom reaches out a hand to Jake as he helps him up from the ground. Jake contemplates with himself after seeing everyone root for his victory only for him to fail at the very end. But the eliminated players try to calm the blue haired boy's worries by saying that they were proud that Jake was able to achieve so much after having all the odds stacked against him. Jake tears up and as he tells his loved ones that he's glad to have their support with Tom holding Jake's hand and pulls him in for another kiss. In the confessionals, Jake makes a poetic analogy that although he lost against the beast; he still won the heart of his knight and that's all he could ever hope for.

On the bus ride, Lake asks what Tom and Jake are up to since the season has finally wrapped up. Jake answers by saying that they're planning on making up for lost time as they presumably start living together.Tom offers Miriam to join on their bonding activities to which the older woman chuckles and makes a point that Tom owes Jake some alone time after everything but she reminds them to visit once and awhile. Once the bus reached their destination, Tom and Jake waved their goodbyes to James, Aiden and Lake as they went their separate ways.

The opening consists of multiple sad memories the two had been through whether it may be their troublesome pasts with a contrasting feeling of joy present with the two as they pass out together on the sofa watching the movie twilight together, getting ice cream, going on a trip with Gabby and Ellie or baking alongside Miriam.

Eagle Eye[]

Jake asking Tom to wake up

Jake asking Tom to wake up

Tom begrudgingly wakes up in a spy suit reminiscent of season 1 in Team Magenta's tent after Jake asks him to but quickly reappears inside a canoe for Team Cyan that included familiar faces of Gabby, Ellie and Aiden. Tom asks his teammates about where Jake ran off to only for Ellie to correct him that he was never on their team. This leaves the former spy in confusion but things escalate even further with Aiden being dragged out the boat and Gabby preventing Tom from going after him. Tom tries to go after his friend but the scenery changes to him being tied to a tree in the forest as he hears ominous voices from all directions; resembling Ellie’s and Gabby’s voices chanting eagle eye to get out of there or else he'll be compromised. But Jake's voice calling for Tom’s help alerts him as he responds in the distance that he'll save him only to find him unable to break out of the ropes that bind him. Jensen appears in front of Tom causing him to hyperventilate heavily as the older man brandishes his face with a dagger. Tom tries to prevent this as he begs profusely that he'll tell him anything he needs to know but his actions were to no avail as Jensen scared Tom's face with his blade. Jensen continues to inflict more pain as Tom cries heavily as he violently screams, only to wake up shirtless in his bed realizing he had a nightmare. He holds his cheek where his scars are and tells himself that he's fine. A ringtone occurs on his phone with Jake messaging him to call as he hopes that he is doing alright. Tom doesn't respond as he holds his phone in his hand while looking disheartened as he lays in bed. The next morning a montage occurs of Tom getting ready for police work with something being particularly off with him. As he pours in his cup some coffee, he dozes off as the cup overflows as the hot liquid burns his hand. As he sits in his chair while slurping his coffee, Tom becomes concerned when he gets another message from Jake as he attempts to respond but immediately backs out of the idea.

After driving to work, Tom is particularly half asleep as his boss, Lucia, places a box of donuts on his desk to get his attention. She tells Tom that they are on patrol for today so he needs to be in peak condition. Tom replies that he's ready but Lucia then reaffirms that she needs to be 100% certain he can be reliable in this mission. Lucia mentions that she read through his file, intrigued behind the story of a former spy that joined a reality show now working as a police officer. Tom looks flabbergasted as he tries to avoid giving any information on the matter. Lucia can tell that there's something on Tom's mind as she makes it known that she's willing to talk about his issues if he's ever so willing to cooperate. This gives the cop a lot of thoughts as Tom reminisces through the high and lows of his relationship with Jake in season 1 in a flashback. Tom admits to his boss that opening up to others had rather negative results for the most part. Lucia gently holds his shoulder as she states that she won't force him to open up, reminding him that she views her coworkers as a family unit in her own way. As she walks away, Tom stops her as he opens up to her about his problems saying that there was this boy that was important to him. It cuts to the two of them sitting in a police car going over the details as Lucia heard this boy was on Tom's team as she playfully teases him, believing that he was swept off his feet just like that. Tom mentions that they spent a lot of time together fishing and gathering wood as Lucia continues the teasing causing Tom to get a little sentimental in his eyes. Their conversation is briefly interrupted when a car zooms past them driving above the speed limit. The two sit in a cafe as Tom remarks that Jake was able to break down his walls as Lucia wonders how he managed to make that happen. Tom simply replied that he genuinely wanted to understand him beyond the disguise. Mr. Reed continues that he thought that Jake was only seeking an alliance in the game at first but gets emotional upon remembering the way he smiled at him as they paddled their canoe to the shore. Tom's walkie tie gets an alert as the two rush out of the cafe.

He always wanted to get to know me despite my disguise, he wanted to know my soul!
—Tom describing that special feeling Jake gave him

Tom mentions that Jake was also going through his own dilemma with his grandma passing away in the hospital during his time in the game. Lucia is taken aback by this information wondering what did Tom do as he merely responds that he did what he could, recalling the time that he consoled Jake when he fell apart after the call. His phone gets a notification for a message as Lucia asks who it might be only for Tom to quickly disregard it as spam. The two entered the gym for training purposes as Tom continues relaying his story to her. Tom explains others in the game try to persuade Jake that what they had was merely transactional with Lucia appearing remorseful over Tom's plight over Jake believing their words just like that which led his former spy career being in ruins. Lucia was surprised to hear Tom reveal his scars to him as the police cadet replies that Jake deserved to know the truth after everything. Lucia asks him to continue the story as Tom reaches for a cat stuck in a tree using a ladder. But then she quickly connects the dots that Tom had his first kiss with Jake at that very moment, causing her to fangirl about it which led to the ladder not being supported making Tom fall to ground with the same cat landing on his body. Lucia apologizes for letting him fall like that and said that he was cool.

The best part was.. Jake called me his hero!
—Tom discussing the evolution of his relationship with Jake in the VR challenge

The conversation continued in Tom's house as Lucia was puzzled that he and Jake survived a zombie apocalypse together for months. She questions how VR was that advanced in the first place. Tom smiles as he claims that he was glad that Jake even called him his hero. Luca was touched by this as she then started playfully teasing him again about him being some Zombie slaying knight that protected his prince charming from danger. Tom just smiles back but quickly changes his mood as Lucia curiously asks where it all falls apart. He holds his shoulder as he tells his boss that he doesn't want to get into it. But Lucia nudges him to not leave the story unfinished.

This causes Tom to relieve the painful memories he had with the fallout of their relationship during his own elimination in his first season.Tom begins to tear up as he rubs his tears off his face as both have and Lucia shows heavy concern for him.

For the briefest moment of my life.. I felt I wasn't a fuck up! I was happy, all of those jobs I fumbled haunted me every day and then this.. Amazing guy comes into my life and someone I cared for... and someone who'd love me for me.
—Tom spilling all of his unresolved feelings for Jake to Lucia

Tom laments that they could've talked things out as he continues that he wished he could've done better to prevent things from escalating to that stage. In the heat of the moment, Tom confesses that he thought for once he would have one thing that didn't end up in failure. Lucia looks at  Tom and tells him that he could probably talk with him, making the former spy taken aback by her knowing that Jake was sending him messages throughout the day. Lucia explains that she found this out from Tom checking his phone repeatedly and from general initiations as a friend of his. Tom explains to Lucia that he's afraid of getting hurt again as his scars are a reminder of his pain and he doesn't want to risk feeling more of it from the possible chance that their relationship doesn't work out. Lucia tries to console him that he should still try to reach out cuz he loves him but Tom retorts that he isn't strong enough as he leaves the room in sorrow. Tom looks into the mirror rubbing his scar as Lucia knocks on his door but Tom lays on the bed as he doesn't respond as he tears up again.

After noticing her attempts failed, she slides a note under Mr. Reed's door as she takes her leave. Tom gets up and opens the envelope seeing that it had Jake's location written on the paper. His expression changes to a determined look as he uses his police car to drive to his former flames’s location. During his car ride, Tom decides to listen to Jake's missed messages. As the first message hinges on Jake wanting to check on Tom, the second one has him congratulating him on his birthday and the last one has Jake desperately telling Tom that he needs him right now after seeing how his family doesn't want anything to do with him. Tom's heart begins to ache racked with the guilt of letting Jake down.

He arrives at his house as he stares through Jake's window in shame. Jake meanwhile calls Miriam on his phone about how his mother and father disregard him as their son and his brother being absent to do anything since he's on vacation. He asks if she could pick him up from his house to move in with her. Jake's eyes began to water as he wanted to see it. Tom was doing okay and hoped that they could both grow better but he’s about to give up knowing that two years passed, not knowing what to do anymore. He sobs to himself that he really thought that Tom was the one for him. Tom, after hearing everything from Jake's call, loses the motivation to confront him as he goes back into his car. Jake walks out the house to greet Miriam with a packed bag as the two hug for a moment as they drive back to her place. Tom could only feel disappointment in himself as he saw them leave.

By the next morning, Mr. Reed receives a notification from Kristal Mclean to compete in the All Stars.Lucia asks Tom if he's really gonna join after all the bad memories that went down there. Tom states that he spent the last couple of years feeling sorry about his actions so he wants to take this opportunity to show that he still got what it takes. He tells Lucia that if he wins, he hopes to give back to high schoolers to provide them a better future. Lucia sees that Tom is being a noble person but also gags a bit before the two mutually exchanged smiles with each other. At his house, Lucia visits him, giving him some parting gifts before he leaves to join the show. Her gift being an aviator's jacket for him to wear as she awkwardly wonders if he'd like it but Tom embraces her in a hug as he says it's perfect. Lucia seemingly decides to take care of his new cat,Gabs, while he is away. She of course drills into Tom's head that maybe he can find some closure with Jake with this chance as she walks through the door. Tom tells Lucia that he's thankful for her being there for him through all of this pain and turmoil.

After All Stars concluded, Lucia met up with Tom at the workplace to talk about what went down. Tom and Jake are seen together at a Chinese restaurant as the latter tells the former about his encounter with the bear in the Tik Tok challenge. The two ended up being delighted to be in each other's company as they hold hands. The two then go fishing  on a bench while they put  their heads together. Lucia says that while Tom didn't win, he still got the man of the dreams as her subordinate says that he's glad that he did.

Tom comes home after a long day at work as Jake and his cat Gabs wake up in the bed upon his arrival. He salutes his partner as he joins him laying side by side on the bed. Jake jokes about Tom not minding him taking up most of the bed space. Tom smirks as he says that he hopes Jake doesn't mind sharing a bed with a big dummy, his partner couldn't help but chuckle. Jake caresses Tom's face as he says the officer has beautiful eyes. Tom puts his hand on Jake's face as well as he's glad that they found one another again. Jake says he loves him as the two share a tender kiss. But the moment gets cut short when Tom has to go to the bathroom after eating way too many donuts. Jake couldn't help but laugh at his partner’s bad luck as he heard Tom's phone ringing. He answers Gabby and asks how she and Ellie are doing as he's left with shock by her response.

Jake can be seen resting on Tom's chest in bed as the latter snores profusely only to wake up moments later after their alarm clock went off. The two join one another in the bathroom as Tom nudges his own toothbrush with Jake’s before starting to brush his teeth, this causes him to blush as Jake himself shyly blushes while rolling his eyes. The officer watches in a mirror and feels a sense of dread seeing his scars but his worries go away when Jake joins him kissing them causing Tom to have a big smile. Next in the kitchen, Tom decides to pour hot coffee in two separate cups as he and Jake hold hands as they share a tender toast. In the living room, Jake checks his laptop and reads off a job resume he sent was denied leaving him saddened. Tom comes into the room with mail as Jake jokes that it might simply be another furniture coupon like last time. Tom pets his cat's head while saying that the polka dots autumn would've worked out fine. Jake chuckles from his comment as he says that money can't exactly buy tastes with a big grin on his face cheekily says that Tom's lucky he's cute.

Tom is on cloud nine from that comment as he asks Jake to continue to which his partner replies that Tom still has him. The officer puts his arms around Jake's shoulder affectionately as he asks if the job search for him has gotten any form of progress. Jake quickly shuts the laptop causing Tom to see that things aren't going particularly well as his boyfriend responds that he doesn't have many skills outside of his time on reality television. Tom tries to approach his boyfriend and reassures him that his tenacity is what all people could ask of him at the end of the day. Jake puts a hand on his face, feeling sorry that Tom has to deal with his screw ups as Tom comforts him by taking his hand confirming that he's glad to still be alongside him. The blue haired boy smiled after hearing his boyfriend's belief in him as Tom asks about the number of applications he sent. Jake panics and says he lost count but Tom sees that he isn't being honest with him so he presses further. Jake admits defeat after confessing that he only sent 3 applications; Tom rubs his boyfriend's chin as he cheekily teases if he has any time left for him after being so busy. Jake laughs it off and tells Tom that they should get going to meet Gabby and Ellie at the airport. Tom is enthusiastic as he tells their cat Gabs that her aunt is coming to see her only to be taken aback by a broken vase. Jake crosses his shoulders reminding Tom that they should probably stop Gabs from constantly breaking things around the house as the officer solemnly agrees with that decision.

Jake and Tom arrive at the airport waiting for the arrival of Gabby and Ellie in the midst of a dozen flight attendants in the vicinity. Jake mentions the likelihood of finding them being difficult; however his partner gives a smug smile as Gabby's infectious laugh can be heard throughout the airport. Upon seeing one another Tom and Gabby embrace in a rather wholesome reunion. Jake reminds Gabby that he's here as well which leads the polish girl to pull him into a hug to which he reciprocates the gesture. However, Jake's mood shifts when Ellie walks into the conversation as the latter agrees that this is not gonna work out. Gabby pulls her aside reassuring her girlfriend that things will be alright. Tom decides to congratulate Ellie's promotion with Jake muttering graduation under his breath to help correct his own boyfriend’s mistake as the two give awkward smiles. Ellie half-heartedly asks Gabby why they need to meet with them again as her girlfriend responds that they just moved here and have no friends. Ellie begins to throw shade at the idea that they're all friends as Gabby's spirits lessened. Ms. Parker sees this as reaffirming that while she's willing to be there for Gabby, she's worried that she might be a four wheel in the friend group. Tom promises that they won't let that happen as he nudges Jake's shoulder, causing him to begrudgingly accept as the group leave the airport.

Jake finds himself helping Miriam as he does the finishing touches to the walls of her living room with a paint roller. After climbing down the ladder, he answers the door as the two greet Gabby and Tom for coming over. Mr. Reed states that he wanted to help his friend in getting a job as a self defense instructor after moving to Toronto. Ms. Nowak gives her fair share of news, hoping Jake can keep Ellie company at her apartment. Jake is rather hesitant to accept as Gabby and Tom give a combined effort of puppy dog eyes causing the blue haired boy to give in to their request, holding a bit of annoyance given his shaking past with Ellie.

After their fight and eventual reconciliation, Ellie and Jake make the decision to meet their partners at the ice rink. Tom sees Ellie almost fall as Jake helps her up, being grateful that the two have made up to a certain degree. Ellie asks Tom and Gabby what they were up to only for the officer to mention “garden gnomes" leaving both her and Jake with confusion. Tom and Gabby give each other a high-five for a job well done but this leaves Tom to almost fall due to the slippery surface of the ice rink. Jake catches him in his arms while telling the big guy to be careful as the two blush in the other's presence, prompting Tom to pull his boyfriend in for a kiss. They begin to lock hands while smiling at each other as they decide to skate through the ice rink. After that, Gabby and Ellie crash at their place with Jake being shocked that the former is destroying him in a Nintendo switch game they're playing. Ellie then cheers Gabby's victory as she sits on the couch, checking her fashion sketches on her notepad. The door rang as Jake opens it to see Lucia, Tom's boss, who asks the three to come with her to search for her subordinate, leaving the three in disbelief.

Collateral Damage[]

Jake is left with dread after hearing the news that Tom was hospitalized. Gabby and Ellie offer to stay at his apartment to comfort him during this tough moment in time. Jake replies that he'll be fine with Miriam here and proposes that he has faith Tom will pull through. Ellie tells Jake to call them if anything goes wrong as the sapphic duo embrace the blue haired boy one last time before exiting the apartment as they go home. Mr. Hamilton finds himself sitting next to Tom's Boss, Lucia, on the coach as they go over the details behind Tom's incident. The two show disdain for an officer from another station named Johnson who acted too rough with the convict in custody as Tom was caught in the crossfires of the mess. Lucia described Tom's noble heart to be the unfortunate reason why he got injured as the fight was out of his control. Jake demonstrates that he is proud that Tom still tried to prevent an officer from causing any more irreparable harm. Lucia takes her leave as she is going to look into an investigation of the incident first thing in the morning. Before she could leave, Jake thanks her for telling him what went down as she walks out the door leaving the boy with parting words that the good people in the world always get the worst luck. Jake looks down trying to process everything as Miriam walks over and offers him her homemade coffee to ease his nerves. Jake laments about his significant other being injured but Miriam retorts that she is certain Tom will make it out fine as he's a fighter first and foremost. But Jake still continues his worry as he points out that he was always afraid of Tom being a cop knowing how this line of work could be quite dangerous. Miriam holds Jake tightly as she tries to reassure that things will work out in the end for both of them.

Jake enters his bedroom, shifting back and forth as his mind is a mess with everything that happened with Tom. His cat, Gabs crawls on the bed as she decides to curl up next to him. In a desperate attempt, Jake decides to call her father in the night. His father asks what Jake wants, immediately jumping to the conclusion that he must've called for money. Jake denies that that was his intention as he brings his father up to speed about Tom getting injured on the job. However this flies over his father's head as he groans that his son is still in a relationship with this man. Jake hopes he can visit and help him out but is shocked to hear an immediate no from his father. Jake's heart sank as his father continues that he won't help his son when he's associating himself with man as he quite condescendingly offers Jake a place at home once he comes to his senses. Jake stands up to his father as he points out how diabolical his parents really are while coming to terms with the fact he doesn't need them as he now has his own found family that saw him for who he is. He declares that he's done waiting for them to change their views as he ends the call after saying he'll be a far better man than his father ever was. Jake tosses his phone across the room as he sees his reflection in the mirror as he jumps into bed with conflicting emotions.

A flashback occurs with a younger Tom reading a comic book as he is shortly interrupted by his mom who told him to come into the kitchen for dinner. Tom's mother shares some light hearted banter with her son, telling him the meaning and importance of  infiltration from his spy comics. Things turned  grim  when Ms. Reed sees a shadow of a man resembling her husband arriving at the door as she quickly tries to escort her son in the bathroom so she can handle the situation without him getting hurt. Thomas starts washing his hands as he hears his mom yelling that she won't let her husband let a finger on her son again, heavily implying a history of abuse. Tom looks into the mirror to see a beaten and bruised older version of himself as the glass breaks causing him to run out of the bathroom. He tries to look for his mom only to see a knife on the counter with stained blood as he violently screams for help. This does cut to the present day where Tom awakes from his nightmare panicking in his hospital bed as he lays back down calling out for his mom.

Lucia, Miriam and Jake stop at the donut store to get some appetizers for Tom. As Miriam asks what type of donut Tom would like,Lucia and Jake both answer simultaneously “double glazed donut with blueberry Jam” shocking the older woman. Lucia reports that she's doing her best to bring justice against Johnson even if it risks her position. Jake is supposed to see she took such a risk as Lucia comments that she did it for “Tommie”, a nickname she calls Thomas. She gets embarrassed after saying that but Jake is rather happy that Tom had such a reliable workforce friend in the midst of this mess.

Tom is let out of the hospital as he sits at a table with Jake, Miriam and Lucia while feeling a bit lost at the moment.Jake holds onto Tom as his partner finally speaks that he's sorry to make them all worry like that. Lucia tells her partner in crime that she knew he'd pull through and that he'll be back in action in no time, this causes Tom to look rather down as Jake looks at him with concern. Jake caresses Tom's head on his lap as he spitballs if Tom wants to watch a movie or hang out with Gabby and Ellie to take his mind off things. Tom declines saying that he feels a bit tired as he tears up a bit, causing Jake to pull him into a hug. Jake tells his boyfriend that he's proud of him for stopping Johnson but Tom retorts that if he stopped him in time then no one would've gotten hurt in the end. Jake then reassures Thomas that he made the right decision by de-escalating the situation as he kisses Tom's cheek before going into the kitchen to check on their dinner.

Tom“For what?”
Jake“For standing up to Johnson... Who knows what would have happen if-”
Tom“That guy wouldn't have gotten hurt at all if I stopped him in time”
Jake“But you intervened and de-escalated, it made a difference ”
— Jake comforts Tom about his choices he made

Jake tells Tom it's almost done but as he picks up the knife, Thomas begins to start hallucinating the knife being the same one he saw in his nightmare causing him to panic non-stop. Jake, seeing the stress that Tom had, puts down the blade on the counter. Tom walks out the kitchen rushing out of the kitchen. A week later, Mr. Hamilton holds a meeting with Miriam, Ellie and Gabby telling them about how Tom has been rather uneasy ever since he left the hospital. Miriam thought he was doing fine but Jake explains that it might be a mental issue he's struggling with. This leads Miriam to connect that it might have something to do his past regarding his family. Ellie curiously asks what the old woman is alluding to about Tom's background. Miriam explains that although he had a good mother, Tom had a less than ideal father to deal with. Gabby raises a question that it's rather strange that Tom is thinking about his past now of all times. Miriam continues that perhaps this process of thinking was likely influenced by him being injured at work mixed with him witnessing such violence could have triggered his deep seeded issues. Jake raises his finger in the sky, proclaiming that he might have an idea to help get to the bottom of Tom's issues which causes the rest to smile.

Jake“Don't talk like that... the most safe I feel is with you”
Tom“Sorry my head is just always spinning”
Jake“Listen I get it! Besides you don't think I can kick some major ass!”
Tom“Hehe... I shouldn't doubt you; you'd fold any goon in a heartbeat”
— Jake lightening up Tom's mood as they walk home hand in hand

Jake and Tom are next seen walking together on the sidewalk holding ice cream in one hand as they hold hands with the other. Jake asks how Tom is currently feeling as his boyfriend responds that he's feeling better but still shaken up nevertheless. Tom confides that he's scared of not being enough, worried that what if he was not able to protect Jake in time. The blue haired boy attempts to calm him down by telling him that he does feel safe when he's with him. Tom apologizes for such a irrational thought, expressing that he constantly feels like spiraling. Jake understands that sentiment all to well and boasts a bit that he's capable enough to kick butt all on his own. Tom laughs at his boyfriend's witty remark as he agrees that Jake is rather tougher than he lets on as the two share comforting smiles as they finally arrive home.

Jake smiles as he opens the door, leaving Tom shocked and flabbergasted upon seeing his mother in their home. Without a second thought, Ms. Reed hugged her son as Tom tears up and reciprocates the gesture. Jake tells him that he and Miriam thought it might be best for his mother to see him. Tom smiles as he openly states that he's happy to see her after so long. He asks if his brother Tony came as well though his mother exclaims that he is currently studying abroad, but he wishing him the best of the luck. Ms. Reed asks how Tom has been but her son puts a hand on his shoulder as he responds that he has been going though alot. His mother rubs his hair to ease her son's nerves as she explains that she came here as fast a possible to sort things out. Tom blurts out something revolving her association with being an agent but she covers his mouth as Ms. Reed corrects him by saying the talent agency will have to wait causing Jake and Miriam to be a bit confused. In Any case, Ms. Reed thanks Miriam and Jake for being there for her son as Jake offers to give them the space as the two leave the living room. After they left, Ms. Reed comments that her son's boyfriend was sweeter in person as Tom agrees with that sentiment as he starts blushing.

Jake and Miriam sit at a table as the latter asks how her grandson is holding up. Jake is somberly says that he's glad that Tom's doing better. Miriam continues to ask but Jake brushes it off saying he wasn't hurt in this case, Miriam retorts that even then his feelings in this case still matter. Jake comes clear with Miriam that he was thinking about his family and feels a little disheartened that he wouldn't have that kind of love from them the same way Tom and his own mother demonstrated. Tom echoes the same words "I'm never gonna have that, am I?" during his conversation with his mother, clarifying that his life will never be a normal one. Ms. Reed opens up to her son as she apologizes that their family had to be on the run and their secretiveness kept Tom from being able to express how he felt. She explains that she never wanted any of her children to have this kind of life as she directs her anger at her cowardly husband. Tom tells his mother that she did the best she could as he laments that although his father is gone from their lives, the pain he brought still lingers to this day. Ms. Reed holds her son's hand, understanding that it's not easy to let go of the past.

Tom chuckles a bit as he openly states that he was as strong as his mother. Thomas reveals that he had never wanted to be a spy or even a cop, simply doing either of them as a means to help others. His mother asks why he thinks that as Tom states that if he had to make tough calls, the people he cared for would be safe in a similar way to what his mother did for him. Ms. Reed tells his son that family will always protect family, everyone does their part. She throws in that Tom's boyfriend,Jake, rivals her in protectiveness as he admits his partner is pretty great. Ms. Reed pushes even further by calling him a dream boat and a good pick as she grins with a thumbs up, causing her son to get embarrassed to cover his face. Afterwards, she grabs his son's hand as they go for a walk outside. As they walked, she brought up the time Tom saved a doll for a young girl. Tom finds his line of action to be silly but his mother disagrees as she makes a case that heroism isn't about results but how you can influence the lives of others for the better as they lead by example. Tom agrees that his mother might have a point as she embraces him into a hug, stating that he will always be her hero. Tom thanks her mother for the kind words as he hugs her back.

The next day, Tom is driving with Jake across from him reading a letter that Ms. Reed sent them. Jake mentions that Tom's mom left a sweet message that she was an honorary mother to him and gushed about him for several pages. Tom's enthusiastic to hearing that as he jokes that it might be an abridged version since she'd send more than three. Thomas mentions that his mom will pop in from time to time and makes it known that she'll be there for Miriam's birthday party much to Jake's amusement. Tom chuckles as he confesses that it'll be fun to see everyone all together in one big happy family. Jake looks down before confessing that he talked with his dad making Tom surprised. Jake explained he did it after being inspired by Tom's willingness to fight for what he believed in made him realize that he can make a change of his own accord. Tom nervously asks what happened next, Jake eased his worries that he told off his father and permanently cut contact with him. Tom commends Jake for his bravery as the two lock their hands together while staring lovely into one another's eyes. Jake asked if Tom is still willing to continue his police work as his partner tells him that he's gonna try becoming a different hero than he was before. This leaves Jake with some thoughts as they stopped at the donut store. Jake questions why are they stopping for coffee at this hour, Tom makes an excuse about him just wanting to have a coffee but Jake isn't buying it. Tom just tells Jake to follow him into the store as they walk hand in hand inside. Jake is shocked at the revelation seeing his older brother Shawn was waiting inside to greet him.

Labor of Love[]

Tom catches his former boss,Lucia, excited to watch the All-Stars season all over again which causes him to chuckle much to her embarrassment. The mood changes when Lucia notices that Tom came to work without his uniform, wearing his everyday attire and asks what happened. Tom confesses that he is now turning in his badge which greatly saddens his boss as she tries to plead for him to stay. Lucia stated that the investigation was a success with Jonson losing his job but Tom explains that he isn't the reason that he decided to quit. Thomas confessed that after a lot of thought, he realized the police force wasn't the job for him and he wanted to forge a path of his own. His boss, Lucia, despite feeling hurt by his leave, she was understanding of his plight and hopes he has a good life. Tom pokes his elbow on Lucia’s shoulder as he mentions that even if they aren't partners anymore together, their friendship will never fade. Lucia gets sentimental by Tom's words as the two share a tender hug before he leaves the station.

Meanwhile, Jake is aided by Ellie and Gabby as they set up decorations for Miriam’s birthday party. Jake asks Ellie about the progress on her portfolio as the ginger haired girl confesses that her boss loved her designs as Jake cheered for her success. Ellie then jokingly teases that when she becomes successful, she'll think about giving Jake a small amount from her autobiography. Jake sarcastically responds that it was sweet of her as Ellie punches his arm as she adds that they'll be in footnotes. The doorbell rings as Jake is welcomed to a sweet surprise as Ashley, Aiden and Lake arrive at the party. Jake is delighted to be in the cowgirl's presence as they share a tight hug. Ashley expresses that she's glad to make it as she mentions that her boyfriend,Will, is on watch of the farm for her while she's at the birthday party. Aiden makes his presence known as Jake pulls him into a headlock and playfully nudges his hair, being more than glad to see his pal since All Stars as he pulls him into a hug. Jake questions where James is but Aiden clarifies that he couldn't make it as he is busy being a famous actor but nevertheless sends his regards. Jake merely responds that he's happy for James's acting career. He congratulates Lake for coming as she introduces him to her plus one that she brought to the party, Mariana. She greets everyone as Jake says “welcome to the family”. Tom is sitting in the donut store, looking down in the dumps while eating his double glazed donuts at a table. Gabby walks into the store much to Tom's relief as she reveals to her friend that Jake doesn't suspect a thing as he's distracted by the guests at the party. Tom is glad things are working out fine as Gabby enthusiastically asks what's the surprise that he has in store for Jake. Tom ponders at the thought as we cut to Jake preparing Miriam’s birthday cake in the kitchen.

The doorbell rings once more, Jake opens the door to see his older brother Shawn as the atmosphere between them becomes rather heavy as the two exchange awkwardness around the other. Jake folds his arms with a sad look as he mentions baking a cake and that he'll introduce him to everyone when it's all done. Shawn follows Jake in the kitchen and continues their conversation as Jake puts the frosting on the top of the cake while wearing a bitter expression. Shawn asks if he was able to think about his words as Jake just brushes off most of his attempts at communication. He wonders why he was even invited at all as Jake just responds that Tom was the one who invited him. Shawn asks if Jake was okay with Tom's decision to invite him to the party. Jake once again brushes off his brother's question with one answer, claiming that he was not at all bothered. Shawn flips out and in the heat of the moment accidentally shoves Jake’s shoulder which  causes the frosting to be messed up on the top of the cake. Jake gets frustrated and pushes Shawn for making him mess up the cake’s frosting. Jake grabs the cake and denies his brother's desire to help him as he remarks with irritation that he would've loved help from his brother a long time ago. Shawn looks down with utter guilt as he reaches out to his brother as Jake solemnly states that he can't just forgive him for everything. Shawn agrees that it isn't that simple but confesses that he does care for him and wants to rebuild their familial bond. Jake rolls his eyes as he speculates Shawn is only here to be their parent's personal spy for him. Shawn tears up about this theory after mentioning that he moved out as he showed his younger brother that he blocked their numbers on his phone. This revelation leaves him rather flabbergasted.

Gabby and Tom are on a road trip as the two smile while hearing the piggyback song they performed from the radio of their car. Tom tells Gabby that they are almost there to their destination using the map in his hands as the polish girl focuses on the road. She asks her bestie if things have been going better for him. Tom happily responds that Jake recommended a therapist for him and the meetings have been going smoothly. Gabby holds a bright smile on her face as she tells her friend that he'll always have his companions to help him heal from a crisis. Tom puts his hands on his chest admitting while it's difficult, he is extremely grateful for his loved ones as he gets teary eyed alongside Gabby. But the moment was short-lived when Tom realized that Gabby wasn't focusing on the road as they pulled over before the car could hit someone on the sidewalk. Gabby then questions why people would walk on the sidewalk leaving Tom puzzled by her response.

Suddenly we cut to Jake and Shawn finished fixing the cake as they shared coffee while conversing as to what went wrong. Jake asks why he agreed to meet up as Shawn replies that he remembered something but gets caught off by a vulgar response from Jake viewing his decisions as just a chance to absolve himself of guilt. Shawn resumes by saying that he remembered the time he got in a fight with his father at 17 years old; almost running away with no protests from the family but Jake packed his own suitcase telling his brother that he doesn't deserve to be alone.Jake tells his brother that he remembered that moment as Shawn spills his feelings that Jake always wore his heart on his sleeves and he's sorry that he let his prejudices get in the way of their bond. The blue haired boy shows remorse for Shawn's choices as he comes to the conclusion that he was only a victim of their parent's misfortunate teachings. Shawn chuckles as he makes it known that he's proud of Jake’s evolution and says that their granny would be proud of him if she were still here. He commends Jake for his efforts on making this party a reality and suggests that he could make this into a full-time job. Jake responds that he never thought of that before as Shawn states that he'd be a really great wedding planner; the younger brother replies that his older brother might be onto something. He  jokes that the business could be called “Jake's big gay wedding service” as Jake says to not push it. Shawn decides to leave Jake to his devices at the party but Jake becomes hesitant and offers his brother one last chance to stay. Shawn asks if he's sure as Jake responds as the two brothers share a warm smile for the first time.

Meanwhile,Mr. Reed decides to sneak into a cabin of Camp Tipiskaw as Gabby keeps on an eye out for any camp rangers from behind a bush. Gabby makes a distraction to take the attention of the head camp rangers so Tom can get a wooden blank from the wall that he craved a heart with his and Jake’s initials. The Camp ranger catches them in the act as he holds a squirt rifle at gun point for trespassing on Camp grounds. Gabby tries to appeal to emotion by telling the ranger that their vandalism was for the sake of love. The ranger upon hearing this, decides to put down his weapon and offer them a drive. But Tom awkwardly reminds the ranger that they have a car of their own, leaving the ranger disappointed.

Tom joins the party and is seen conversing with Jake in the background as more guests join, Jackie Reed, Lucia and the ranger making their appearance. Jake, Ashley and Aiden share an arm hug as they video chat with Hunter and Ally at the party. Aiden decides to introduce himself to Tom's mother as Jackie rubs his head while telling him that he was her favorite disventure camp contestant. Tom smiles as he says after him but Jackie replies that she never said that, causing Tom to be shocked with Lucia and Aiden just giggling at her comment. Shawn trips on the ground as several plates of cake get launched in the air but Jackie successfully catches each of them with her arms and legs, leaving everyone befuddled by his talents. As Jackie tries to cover her the truth behind her skills by confessing that she's a circus performer. Jake and friends hide in the living room to surprise Miriam for the birthday. Miriam walks into the door accompanied by Connor as she gets a heart attack by the surprise act as everyone begins to spiral. But Miriam opens her eyes and confesses to trolling everyone about her heart attack as the residents of the party have a sigh of relief while Ellie is presumably pissed that she got fooled a second time in a row. They all join together in the backyard as the group shared a heartwarming speech of the importance of family and how much it meant for Miriam who felt like that feeling was lost for quite a long time.

After the party, Jake says his goodbyes to Ashley as the cowgirl tells the two that they'll show her around the place first thing in the morning. Shawn and Jake agree to see a movie together when they have the chance as the latter thanks the former for taking things slow when it comes to their bond. Shawn shows consideration for Tom being there for his brother and tells him that he has his blessings. Tom pulls him into a tight hug as he semi threatens Shawn that if he ever hurts Jake again, he'll have to deal with him and his 20 different ways to beat someone into submission with his hands alone. Shawn awkwardly waves to Tom that he doesn't need to worry about that as they part ways from each other while Tom’s smile changes to a devilish grin.Tom walks Jake into their household as he mentions that he has a gift waiting for him on the table.

Jake whispers to Tom about the gift causing him to be flustered as they presumably have sex afterwards.

But to his horror, their cat, Gabs, tore apart the wooden heart carving that he got from camp. Tom laments at the broken pieces of wood, mentioning it was meant to be a Christmas present to Jake as he apologizes to his partner. Jake kisses Tom on the cheek and tells him that he loved the gift as even though it was ruined, it's the thought that counts. Tom agrees with Jake's sentiment as his boyfriend offers something to compensate for the missing gift as the two share passionate smiles.Tom becomes puzzled as Jake gets annoyed and whispers the act, causing Thomas to become flustered. After understanding what he meant, the two giggle uncontrollably as they hold hands as they walk into the bedroom to presumably have sex. Tom takes their cat Gabs out of the room before they have their fun with each other. Later in six weeks, Jake is walking with party supplies as Tom shows him a billboard they passed by with his business brand, causing Jake to look at his lover with sincerity.

Jake is found starstruck by Tom's romantic gesture as he kisses him as the two enjoy their time in the other's arms. Jacob then offers his gift to Tom as he unwraps the donut bag to see a heart shaped wooden carving as their initials are written. Tom is at a loss for words as he can't help but tear up after seeing it. Jake mentions that after it broke, he realized that it symbolized themselves in a metaphorical sense as they were able to find happiness in spite of their tragedies. Tom blushes as he adds onto Jake's tender sentiment that the cracks are like scars that have always remained beautiful in spite of its condition. Tom remarks that he's glad that they were able to spend quality time ever since Jake became a busy man as a wedding planner. He then claims that he's impressed that the business is such a success at the end of the day. This catches Tom's eye as he asks Jake if he has any wedding plans coming up. Jake softly blushes as he declares to his partner that the next wedding he plans on doing is theirs, this causes Tom to juggle the wooden heart as he faints while blushing profusely. Jake embraces Tom's chest as he states that he's glad his partner is open to his wedding plan, making them engaged. Fanon[]

TomJake is possibly the most polarizing romantic relationship of the series. Its shippers find their slow burn romance to be rather wholesome mixed with Jake's more outgoing personality contrasting Tom's more introverted characteristics, which created a enjoyable dynamic all around according to them. Their loyal fans were rooting for the two to become an official couple and cheered for them as they finally did in the finale of All-Stars. This side of the fandom also often defends the couple from any criticism.

However, the ship has also many haters, mostly because of its portrayal in All-Stars. Many believed that after experiencing so much drama, the ship is just too toxic and the two should've remained as friends at best, if not distanced themselves from each other forever due to the miscommunication that often happens between them, notably with Tom's ghosting of Jake for the past two years or avoiding discussing their relationship and lying about having a boyfriend.

When the announcement of a mini series dedicated to the pair was revealed, the relationship only became more divisive. Detractors of the pairing accused the creators of blatant favoritism, especially after their plot already took a good chunk of screentime in the first half of All-Stars, while diehard defenders of the ship rejoiced to see their relationship be explored more as a couple after the events of All-Stars.

Despite this, TomJake is currently the most written ship in the fandom, having 275+ works on AO3. It tends to be shipped alongside Jaiden and GabEllie, two other popular ships, and it's rivaled by pairings like Huntake, Tomalec, Tomden, Jakeden, and even Jalec.
