Gideon was distrustful of Zari at first, given that one of the fist things she did was try and hack Gideon's subsystem's.
Season 3[]
HERE I GO AGAIN
Zari is about to sacrifice herself to save the rest of the team, when suddenly everyone disappears and is put back into place. She's confused when a woman appears clapping. Zari asks who she is, and she says that she knows who she is. Even if she's never seen her face. Zari realizes that it's Gideon, and is surprised that she's real. Gideon says that just because she's an AI, doesn't mean she doesn't exist. Zari's confused before realizing that she's been dreaming and becoming very angry. Gideon says that Zari in real life is currently unconscious in the medbay healing, and takes Zari there.
Zari sees herself and asks what happened, and Gideon explains that she was put into a coma after her accident in engineering. She says that Zari's lucky to be alive, and Zari asks where her mind is if her body is in the medbay. Gideon explains that she uploaded Zari's subconcious, and Zari asks if it's real. Gideon says that it's not in the way Zari's used to, and Zari asks what she brought her there. Gideon explains that when Zari's program was looking for loopholes, Gideon was able to see that the one constant in the possible answers was Zari being a member of the Legends.
Zari realizes that this means her simulator works and asks if she almost leaves the team. Gideon says that Zari's fight with Sara could cause her to leave, and wanted her to choose to stay with the Legends. Gideon creating a program that would bring her closer to the team and developing a bond would be the only way to exit. Zari asks about the bomb, but Gideon just used it as a plot device. Zari asks if everything she learned about the team was fake, and Gideon says that everything she saw was true, but not real.
Zari is both terrified and in awe of Gideon. Believing her to be an evil genius, and a bit of a perv. Gideon says that Zari never asked and says that the software Zari created is impressive. Zari asks if that's a compliment, and Gideon tells her not to let it go to her head. She asks if she's ready to wake up, but Zari has one last question: Why was Gary there just to be stuck in the trash the whole time? Gideon admits that she just thought it would be funny, and wakes Zari up.

TomenShip is a small ship in the Legends fandom. Most don't ship Gideon with a character till they meet Gideon's human form, and this ship is no exception. Many thought that Zari was checking out Zari's human form. During that time Zari was also clearly impressed with Gideon's ability to be a slight evil genius. Although many abandoned the ship to ship Gideon with Zari Tarazi, and Zari with Charlie. On AO3, there are currently 12 written works.
