Touan is the het ship between Touya Aoyagi and An Shiraishi from the Project SEKAI fandom.
Canon[]
Touya and An are both part of Vivid BAD SQUAD. In the unit, they are the ones whose fathers are accomplished musicians - Touya's father is a famous classical musician, while An's father is a retired musician who performed at RAD WEEKEND, and currently owns the live music café and bar WEEKEND GARAGE where still interacts with fellow musicians. Although An's father is more supportive and kind, him constantly being interrupted and swept away by his musician career caused her to develop abandonment issues, while Touya's was outright controlling, forcing Touya to practice piano for hours on end and not allowing him to spend time with his peers. They have opposite personalities, with A being very expressive, outgoing and bad at studying, while Touya is more reserved, stoic and gets good grades at school. They also attend Kamiyama High School but in different classes, as An is in 2-A and Touya is in 2-B. An mainly knew Touya through Akito, frequently encountering the two at her father’s café before Vivid BAD SQUAD was formed.

In Chapter 5, An says they need to chop up the ingredients for their BBQ. When Touya admits he hasn't used a kitchen knife before, as his parents were afraid he would hurt or damage his fingers, An assures him it's alright and suggests he start cutting bell peppers first. She instructs him to cut them into quarters, and after a bit of hesitation, he manages cut it properly. Touya is overjoyed and shows An the pepper he had cut, and An compliments him and tells him to keep up the good work. As he chops more vegetables he keeps mumbling quarters, and after a while, he sighs in relief as they had finished the prepping.
In Chapter 6, when An asks what he thinks of seeing an actual forest, he says it feels very soothing. When the group tries to find their way back to their camping area, they find out their phones don't have GPS. Touya mentions that bad weather such as the fog can affect GPS' condition and pulls out a pocket map, with An complimenting for that. While they wander around and are unable to find it back to their camping ground, the sky starts becoming even darker. An points out the stars in the sky and Touya says out loud they look beautiful. This then leads to Touya realizing the certain constellations might serve as their guide, and he ends up climbing up a tree. When he finds out the possible trail they can use, An sighs in relief, and then asks why Akito had to remind Touya of his fear of heights.
In the final chapter, An checks on Touya after they get back to their camp and have finished cooking. An then offers the first skewer to Touya "for all his hard work", and Touya asks if he's not supposed to unskewer the food first. An tells him to "chomp down on it as it is since we're outdoors", and after the first bite, he compliments An's cooking, saying it might be the best thing he's ever eaten. After eating, Touya suggests they sing together, and upon realizing how harmonious it sounded, An thanks him and says the camping trip ended up becoming a learning experience for everyone else as well.
In Kohane's card's first side story, the whole group is on the train returning back after the camping trip. Kohane shows she brought cards with her and An suggests they play Old Maid. Akito and Kohane finish their hands first, leading to a showdown happening between An and Touya.

An confidently says she won't lose, before noticing one of Touya's cards is sticking up. This causes An to speculate whether Touya is bluffing her or whether it is actually the Joker card, to the point where she thinks her head hurts. She ends up taking the card and screams as she sees it's the Joker. Touya smugly tells her the battle is his, and she calls him a monster. When Touya manages to finish, An claims she just got unlucky and demands they play another round. Touya laughs and tells An he'll be sure to pass the Joker to her again, causing An to retort that she isn't going to lose this time around.

Fanon[]
Touan is one of the least popular Vivid BAD SQUAD ships. Its unpopularity stems from their limited interactions (in addition to, as some would argue, their lack of ship content, especially showcased in their Kizuna Ranks), and from the fact that it's rivaled by the other VBS ships AkiToya, Anhane, Akian and Toukoha. It is sometimes shipped alongside with Akikoha.
Despite this, Touan gained more popularity in 2024, after the ship got two card cameos and significant moments together. Fans of Touan hope for more content to come, as well as some ship tease.
Ship Weeks[]
The first Touan Week was held in December 2023.
The second TouAn Week was held on December 14-20, 2024, under the TouanWeek2024 hashtag on Twitter. Prompts for the first day were "late at night or cats", "kitchen or your smile" for the second day, "from afar or sharing" for the third day, "'I did it!' or hair" for the fourth day, "familiarity or coffee" for the fifth day, "AU or comfort" for the sixth day, and the seventh or final day was "Same Dreams, Same Colors" or free choice.
