- “I never get tired of this view. Is it because I'm with you?”
- — Yancy when she is with Nate in the Nimbasa Ferris Wheel
TransceiverShipping is the het ship between Nate and Yancy from the Pokémon fandom.
Canon[]
Yancy is a recurring girl in the Unova region, whose job is to occasionally travel through the former Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions. She is also often known by her stage name "Nancy". She appears exclusively only if the player chooses Nate as their main trainer in the Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 games, as otherwise Curtis appears in Yancy's place if Rosa is chosen as the main trainer.
It all starts in Nimbasa City, which is accessed by defeating the previous 3 gyms: Aspertia, Virbank and Castelia and getting their medals. One day, if the player decides to search the entire Amusement Park, they will find a key item named "Dropped Item", which is actually a missing yellow XTransceiver that someone dropped there, different from the player's own XTransceiver.
Right after picking up said lost item, the XTransceiver immediately rings like a telephone. An unknown caller reveals that she is actually the owner of the device the player just found. Also, you can't see her picture because she is calling from another old XTransceiver that only has audio and no video. She says that she would like to pick up the device back, but she is quite busy with her work, and therefore asks the player to do her the favor of keeping it for her. Finally, she introduces herself as Yancy and asks her to fulfill the favor. Thus ends his first call.
In subsequent calls at 10 of the 15 specific Unova locations, Yancy reveals that she is a girl and learns that Nate is a boy. Also, Yancy knows a lot of Nate's facts (or whatever name the player gave him).
After 10 calls, Yancy finally gets off work for the time being and arrives in the Unova region and asks Nate to meet in person at the Ferris Wheel entrance gate in Amusement Park in Nimbasa City. However, upon reaching such a place, Yancy at first thinks he is someone else and says "No! I'm not who you think." However, soon Yancy finds out that the boy is actually Nate, which surprises her, since he is different from what she had imagined. Nate hands her XTransceiver back and they both exchange numbers to call each other anytime, which relaxes Yancy, since she was afraid Nate would say no. After finishing their first meeting, Yancy goes home.
After 20 more calls, Yancy asks Nate that they both have their first ride on the Ferris wheel. If the player complies, Yancy will feel strange, because talking to Nate makes her happy. After the first call of every next day, Yancy will ask the player for a Ferris Wheel ride, and if the player has entered the Hall of Fame, she will offer to trade Pokémon after the ride. Pokémon traded from her have Hidden Abilities, are at level 50, and have no predetermined nature, gender, or individual values. It is possible to receive multiples of the same species. From the 31st through 49th calls (except the Ferris-Wheel-ride calls), Yancy will say any of a variety of things. On the 50th call, she will accidentally pick up the phone while at work, revealing Yancy in her working outfit. During the 51st call, she will apologize about the previous call being cut off, lying to the player that the one who answered was her coworker. Yancy, as Nancy, appears in various television shows as a celebrity idol, regardless of the player's gender.
Fanon[]
This ship is one of the most popular in the Black and White fanbase, as well as in all Pokémon games. Many fans claim that Nate is the only player-controllable male trainer who can meet a future "girlfriend" like Yancy, as many associate her as the "implied" girlfriend due to her hints.
None of the other protagonists have done anything similar, maybe due to Game Freak and The Pokémon Company thinking that love is not part of Pokémon training.
Many fans believe that TransceiverShipping is canon or at least as close to canon as possible. However, this is a sidequest that is not necessary to proceed in order to progress through the game, and therefore the player is the one who decides whether to make this canon pairing or not.
This ship is considered the counterpart of LiveCasterShipping (Curtis x Rosa), because Yancy or Curtis will appear depending on the protagonist that is selected, always in the opposite gender to the player. (Yancy appears if Nate is chosen, but Curtis will appear in Yancy's place if Rosa is chosen).
The most rival shipped alternatives for both are VisorShipping (Nate x Rosa) on Nate's side and ShiningStarShipping (Curtis x Yancy) on Nancy's side.

Trivia[]
- This ship name comes from "Transceiver", a device based in Transmitter and Receiver devices. In Pokémon, it's called XTransceiver, a watch-like device which resembles a SmartWatch. This name is chosen because Nate and Yancy spend most of their time talking via their XTransceivers and they do this first when the player finds a dropped Yancy's XTransceiver.
