Triple Baka is the poly between Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto and Akita Neru from the Vocaloid fandom.

Canon[]

Miku is a character from the software Vocaloid, while Teto and Neru are both somewhat related to her and Vocaloid. Neru was originally created as a parody character, to make fun of a controversy that happened with Miku in 2007. Teto was originally created as an April Fool's joke, whose intention is to make people believe that it was going to be the CV04 of Crypton Future Media. Neru and Teto became so popular that they were recognized by Crypton and appeared on official Project DIVA games, along with Miku. However, the three don't have any official relationship or dynamic. It can vary depending on what kind of song the producer makes with them.

Songs[]

"Triple Baka" by LamazeP is the most popular song that involves the three. Miku is the main singer, while Teto sings in the background and Neru doesn't sing as she doesn't have an official voicebank. The song is about Miku being lazy and forgetting her duties, but she at least feels proud of her creativity. Miku tries to convince Teto and Neru to join her, but they consider her an "idiot" for her irresponsibility. In one scene, Teto said to Miku "You are indeed stupid", and Miku feels trolled. In another scene, Neru hits Miku with a leek when the later said she will give up about trying to solve her problems.

Fanon[]

The Triple Baka Trio is one of the most popular and beloved trios in the Vocaloid fandom. Triple Baka is extremely popular due to the nostalgic vibes that it gives from the 2000's Vocaloid era, and the triadic color scheme that the three share (Red, blue, yellow). It also made multiple people mistake Teto and Neru for Vocaloids, though they are still very accepted around the community. There have been multiple covers, remastered versions, and redraws of the song.

The popularity of the song and the trio have inspired many fans to headcanon the three as a group of best friends. Some people ship them romantically because they can't choose between TetoMiku, MikuNeru, and TetoNeru. However, it is more common to ship the pair between them individually, and the trio is mostly viewed as a friendship.

Starting from 2024, the ship started gaining more of a meme status due to a user calling Neru "the yellow one that wasn't in Mesmerizer". Various amount of redraws featuring Neru in the song have also been made as a result.

On AO3, the "Neru & Miku & Teto" tag has 14+ works. However, there are more fanfics that feature the three together, as well as fan arts, talkloids, and headcanons.
