Tuffet is the femslash ship between Toriel and Muffet from the Undertale fandom.
Canon[]
At no point in any canon route in the game do Muffet and Toriel directly interact with oneanother. However, it is possible that they interacted in the past, since Muffet set up shop in the Ruins not too far from Toriel's home. The only canonical instance of them meeting is before the bossfight in the True Pacifist route, when Muffet assist the protagonist against Flowey while Toriel and the closest friends the human had made were captured by his vines. It briefly appeared like Toriel and the others could be freed if the protagonist used the aid of the entire Underground, but Flowey foresaw this as well, he manipulated Papyrus into getting everyone in one place so he could absorb the souls of the entire Underground at once. When all the souls are absorbed, the six main bosses become "Lost Souls", forgetting who they are and that the human is their friend. Though Toriel is fought as a Lost Soul alongside Asgore, Muffet is not and it can only be assumed that she also became one and the protagonist had to try something to get her back to her senses.
A huge similarity they share is their love for baking. They also share similar quirks of putting strange ingredients into their works, Toriel prefers to make pies out of slugs while Muffet's cakes and cookies are made of spiderwebs. However, while Muffet makes a living by selling her spider cakes, Toriel only bakes as a hobby to give pies to the children she adopted. However, they share a trait of being extremely protective of those they consider weaker than themselves, Toriel adores children and is willing to protect them no matter what, Muffet will not tolerate any cruelty towards spiders. Both of them are required to be fought on all routes, their reasonings for fighting the protagonist couldn't be more different: Toriel wants to test whether the child could actually survive against the other monsters and holds back when the child is dangerously hurt, Muffet was tricked into believing that the human hates spiders and will only stop fighting once she receives a telegram proving the opposite.

Tuffet is generally a rarepair in the Undertale fandom, like most of Muffet's ships since she barely interacts with the rest of the cast. However, on AO3 it is Muffet's third-most popular ship and Toriel's fourth-most popular romantic ship. The most popular additional tags or the ship include various types of Fluff and Angst, suggesting a sweet-but-sad relationship between them. Muffet ships are generally not notable enough to have rival ships, though Asgoriel can be considered one, since Asgore's wish to reunite with his ex-wife could be seen as an obstacle for people who prefer Toriel experimenting with the idea of dating another woman. As a result, some Tuffet shippers also support Kingdings, the Asgore/Gaster ship, to free Toriel to be with Muffet.
It is not clear how this ship started, but many people can picture them bonding over their shared love for baking. Some art for the ship references baking by having them bake a pie together or share recipes. Some also like to think that Toriel supports the Spider Bake Sale in the Ruins, believing it to be completely consistent with her character. The recipes idea had also led to some thinking that they fool themselves into falling in love with each other in a ploy to get access to their secret recipes.
Some have also tossed around the idea of swapping Muffet's role with Asgore's, if only to make the ship seem a little more plausible.
