TwiYuri is the slash between Loid Forger and Yuri Briar from the Spy x Family fandom.

Canon

Loid and Yuri share a complex relationship that is marked by jealousy and underlying tensions. Yuri's emotions stem from his envy over Loid's romantic involvement with his sister, Yor. This jealousy often manifests as rudeness and hostility towards Loid, fueled by the belief that Loid is unworthy of dating Yor. These sentiments create a challenging dynamic between the two.

Yuri's attempts to discredit Loid's affection for Yor reveal his ongoing struggle with these feelings. He has made several efforts to expose what he perceives as Loid's insincere love, often stemming from his resentment that Loid kept their marriage a secret, even if the duration was not actually as long as initially believed due to the forged marriage certificate.

In the current scenario, Loid is cognizant of Yuri's affiliation with the SSS. Despite occasional coincidental suspicions on Yuri's part, he remains unaware of Loid's true identity as Twilight.

Secret Police Arc

Once Yor finally told Yuri about his "marriage" to Loid, Yuri decided to go visit the Forgers to meet Yor's family and husband. Yor supposedly had not told Yuri that he had gotten married for a whole year, which made the latter worry, thinking that Loid was such a despicable being that Yor could not introduce him. For a moment, Loid thought that the best thing would be to tell Yuri the truth and that he would accept it, until Yor told him that he is very strict and would lose his mind if he found out that his sister married without love. To prevent Yuri from finding out about his fake marriage, Loid prepared the house with tons of photos and proof that he and Yor love each other. At that moment he thought that he was willing to jail Loid if he hurt her in any way.

When the two met for the first time, they greeted each other with a handshake, while deep down they thought about their suspicions for each other: Loid suspected that Yuri could be a threat while Yuri feared that Loid was not suitable for his sister. For most of the arc, Loid and Yuri try to be nice to each other while Yuri inwardly thinks disdainfully of Loid, and Yor almost finds out about him at one point.

In one of his plans to "unmask Loid", Yuri gave him a bottle of alcohol so that he would get drunk and talk too much, revealing that he is not as good as he seems. Then Yuri asked Loid how he met his sister, and then get more to the point asking where and when they met, when they became in a relationship, who proposed marriage, what do they call each other, etc. Loid told her that he simply called her "Yor", something that took a long time for Yuri, which caused her to go into a state of hysteria and start drinking a lot. Then Yuri began to think that he might like Yor de Loid and realized that he is tall, handsome, educated, cooks well and has a good job, which made his envy grow and he began to drink more.

Loid realizes Yuri works for the SSS

Loid changed the subject by asking Yuri about his work. Yuri told them about Hugaria, a city he had been to during his work, and that he had also gone to a restaurant called Kalpatia, where an old chef worked. Loid mentioned that the wine they had at home right now was also from Hungary and that it was of very good quality. Yuri said that he had bought the wine on Hedger Avenue and that it cost 200 dalks. Loid immediately realized that the entire story Yuri had told was invented by Ostania's intelligence service. First of all, the chef was not old but was the owner's son, and the wine actually cost 300 dalks. Loid knew perfectly well that Yuri worked for the SSS, and that he might suspect his identity, so he would do everything possible to avoid raising suspicions and at the same time get information from Yuri.

Yor briefly told Yuri that Loid was like a new brother to him, to which Yuri rejected. Yuri explained to Loid how he and his sister lived alone without their parents for most of their lives, Yor had to choose very dangerous jobs to support him and that motivated Yuri to take a professional job to be able to take care of her the way she took care of him. Eventually, she does not accept Loid as her brother-in-law unless he takes better care of her than he does. Loid responded that he loves Yor as much as he does, saying that he would use a spear or even a meteorite to protect her. Yuri was shocked by Loid's confession and responded that he believed he was a liar and it showed.

Yuri began to suspect if Loid and Yor were really a couple because they both got nervous being around each other despite having been married for a year, so he asked them to prove it by kissing in front of him. However, it turns out that Yuri loves Yor so much that he can't stand her kissing someone in front of him, so he tries to stop them. Yor in the end refused to kiss Loid and accidentally slapped her brother, making him think that she had to stop him from interrupting their kiss and the two of them really loved each other. Eventually, Yuri finally accepted his defeat against Loid.

Mole Hunt Arc

During the chase of Winston Wheeler, both Yuri and Loid were sent to the same mission with completely different purposes: as Yuri is in the SSS, they had to secure Winston, and Loid being in WISE, they had to capture him. During this period Loid disguised as Winston and tricked Yuri into believing they were changing the meeting position, only for him to analyze Yuri’s clothes to next disguise as him. When Loid finally gets his chance to escape from SSS hands and runs through the sewers, Yuri realizes something is wrong (as he sees his footsteps in a place he never went), so he goes into the sewers too believing Twilight might have disguised as him. Yuri’s suspicion became true, as he finds himself with Twilight disguised as him, pointing at each other with a gun. Yuri shoots Twilight’s right arm, but as Loid couldn’t bring himself to kill Yuri, he simply shoots away the gun Yuri had in his hand, and the two begin to fight. At the end Loid wins their brawl, and decides to grab a big pipe to give a final blow to Yuri, but he stops at the moment Yuri mutters an apology to Yor. Loid, hearing this, tosses the pipe away and leaves with a low expression.

The SSS agents fail to retrieve Wheeler and the files or capture Twilight. Returning to Berlint, Yuri skips filing his report and heads straight to the Forger residence to see Yor, but is surprised to learn that Loid is also injured, with Loid explaining that he had an incident with a pro wrestler at work. As Loid goes to make everyone tea, Yuri notices that Loid's right arm might be injured, the same arm that he shot Twilight. Remembering his theory that Twilight could be close to him after transforming into his double, Yuri begins to suspect Loid is Twilight and forcefully lifts his sleeve to check for any wounds, only to find nothing. Yor asks what Yuri is doing, and Yuri excuses that he was looking out for Loid's safety. Yuri backs off from his suspicions, reminding himself that Twilight has copied people not close to Loid. Although of this, Yuri begins to get more suspicious of the spy's true identity.

Fanon

TwiYuri is by far the most popular slash ship within the fandom, and one of the most popular rarepairs as well. In fact, it is the 3rd most popular ship in the fandom on AO3, just after the fandom's juggernaut ships, and competing against Yuriona. Fans generally enjoy the rivality between the two. However, Loid being married with Yuri's sister and their negative relationship make some people prefer them as brothers-in-law. Some people at least want Yuri to be on good terms with Loid and the Forger Family overall. Fans who ship both this and TwiYor choice to ship them in a polycule, with Loid being paired with both siblings. On AO3, there are 60+ romantic works and other 60 platonic works.
