Umbrella's Shadow is the slash ship between Kazan and Rune from the Omega Strikers fandom.
Canon[]
While Rune and Kazan do not have any direct interactions in canon lore, they share a variety of intriguing similarities and differences.
Both Kazan and Rune made significant bargains with figures of higher authority, each doing so in a desperate bid to protect someone dear to them. Kazan struck a deal with Rasmus, hoping to obtain a cure for his sister’s condition, while Rune made his pact with Obscura, seeking to rescue his friend from the dangerous depths of the shadow realm. Interestingly, Rune is listed among the strikers whom Rasmus has taken an interest in, further linking their narratives. Additionally, Rune has his own sub-map within the Clarion Corp Test Chamber, which is inspired by his unique abilities.
Despite their shared experiences with making sacrifices for their loved ones, Kazan and Rune led very different social lives. Unlike Kazan, who was seen as an outcast and remained closely bonded with his sister, Rune excelled academically, standing at the top of his classes and maintaining good relationships with his peers. This stark contrast extends beyond their personal histories and into their personalities.
They embody the “opposites attract” trope, showcasing fundamental differences in demeanor and behavior. Kazan thrives in chaos, embracing his ruthless and unpredictable nature, often displaying wild, erratic tendencies. Rune, on the other hand, is quiet and mysterious, a stark contrast to Kazan’s unhinged energy.
Rune stands at 178 cm, while Kazan measures 171 cm, creating a height difference of 7 cm.

Umbrella's Shadow is a fairly popular ship in the fandom. This may be because of Rune and Kazan's overall lack of popularity however, and it is the most popular ship for Kazan. It is rivaled by DronePour, the ship between Nao and Kazan.
Although Rune and Kazan never directly interact in established lore, their shared themes of sacrifice and contrasting personalities make them an ideal match for each other.
