Ghosts of Illyria[]
Chapel asks how they're meant to counteract a disease that spreads by light, and Una says that they're going to turn off the lights. Chapel points out their sickbay of light addict's which is going to make them all uncomfortable. Una asks if it would be intrusive to sedate all of them and M'Benga believes it's the best option.
Una enters sickbay carrying Hemmer. Chapel asks how she's even carrying him, but Una says to neverminded, since he needs to be sedated. Chapel comes over to sedate him and Una says she's immune to the disease. Chapel says that she doesn't know that, when Una reveals that she's bio-engineered, an Illyrian. Chapel is shocked but asks if her blood could be used to find a cure. M'benga says no and Una asks why. Chapel points out that neither has experience with her metabolism, and Una asks if Chapel is about to pull Starfleet regulations. Chapel has no intention and couldn't care less right now about the rules saying that they can't mix Illyrian and Human blood. Una asks why they're wasting time and M'Benga tells Chapel to go.
Memento Mori[]
Una enters sickbay bleeding and collapses to the ground, Chapel running to her side. She calls for M'Benga, and starts to look over her wounds. They're deep and they can't power up the surgery bay. M'Benga asks how good Chapel is at sewing, and Chapel nervously says "aces" as she realizes what she's going to have to do.
Post Surgery Chapel asks Una how she's doing. Una feels a little like Frankenstein's monster, but will be fine. M'Benga says that there's a fragment left on her Aorta and shares a look with Chapel. Una asks what they're not telling her and Una says that they need to sedate her. She's gonna bleed a lot and they have just enough plasma that they'll need to give by IV. Una asks if she has a choice, but the only other option is to wait for the systems to come back online. Chapel says they can take bets on when shock will set in, which apparently feels like giving birth out your mouth. Una asks who talks like that, and Chapel says that she does. Una tells her to give her the anesthetic and Chapel places it over her mouth and tells her to breathe.
