Uncle Donald is the friend ship between Donald Duck, April Duck, May Duck, and June Duck from the Mickey Mouse and Friends and The Three Caballeros fandoms.
Canon[]
Donald Duck was introduced in 1934 in the animated short "The Wise Little Hen." April, May, and June were introduced in comics in 1953 as the nieces of Donald's longtime-and ongoing-girlfriend Daisy Duck. Though initially intended as a one-off gag, the triplets ended up becoming recurring characters in the Disney comics, most notably the Donald Duck series. As might be expected, Donald and the girls have had various occasions to interact over the years in the comics as he has remained involved with their aunt.
This has also led to the girls interacting with Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. In general, the younger ducks' relationships are a mixed bag, but the girls seem to be on fairly good terms with Donald as their aunt's boyfriend. Were Donald and Daisy to marry, Donald would become April, May, and June's uncle. There is no indication that the girls are at all averse to this prospect, and indeed it seems likely that they would welcome it.
April, May, and June haven't appeared in many animated works.
Legend of the Three Caballeros[]
In this series, the triplets initially appear to help Donald with a yard sale as he is trying to get rid of items recently inherited from a late ancestor. The girls even resort to a bit of trickery in order to get Donald as much money as possible from the sale of a ring.
Later, the three go on to assist Donald as he joins José Carioca and Panchito Pistoles in assuming their ancestral mantles as descendants of the legendary Three Caballeros. The girls are often left behind at the cabana and given the responsibility to look more into the history of the Caballeros or learn more about their neighbour, Sheldrake.
When Daisy breaks up with Donald due to him not being a good boyfriend, the triplets help Donald scheme to get Daisy back. They pose as waiters at a local restaurant to keep an eye on one of Donald and Daisy's dates. In a later episode, they help Donald when he is called away to perform his Caballero duties. The girls put together an extensive lie, utilizing their magic mirror to pretend to be Donald so that they can fool their aunt into thinking he's on a date with her.
In the finale, the triplets uncover the truth about who the rightful president of the Quackmore Institute is. Alongside Daisy, they reveal that Donald, the closest living relative to Clinton Coot, should take over the role as acting president.
Fanon[]
The relationship between Donald and Daisy's nieces hasn't received a great deal of attention in fan works. Most of this is undoubtedly due to the fact that April, May, and June's appearances have largely been confined to comics, which are rather more popular overseas than in the United States. They have appeared in both House of Mouse and Legend of the Three Caballeros, but the former didn't see them interact with Donald and the latter is only available internationally through the Disney+ streaming service. Unsurprisingly, this low exposure means that the girls themselves are featured in little fan material, never mind any that focuses especially on their interactions with Donald.
There are 4 works tagged for the ship on AO3. This puts it just ahead of Aunt Daisy, the relationship between the girls and their aunt, which has only 3 works tagged.
