Union Executives is the friendship between Na Baekjin, Kwon Seokhyeon, Ji Hakho, Keum Seongje, Lee Sehan, and Bae Jihun from the Weak Hero fandom.

Canon[]

Donald Na (Na Baekjin in the Korean version) is the head of Yeo-Il High School and the founder of the Yeongdeungpo Union. Kingsley Kwan (Kwon Seokhyeon in the Korean version) is Donald Na's right hand man. Jake Ji (Ji Hakho in the Korean version) is the head of Daehyeon High School. Wolf Keum (Keum Seongje in the Korean version) is the head of Ganghak High School. Forrest Lee (Lee Sehan in the Korean version) is the head of Hyeongshin High School. Jimmy Bae (Bae Jihun in the Korean version) is the head of Yoosun High School.

Season 1[]

Chapter 47
Kingsley goes to Daehyeon and tells him it's best for him to attend the upcoming Union assembly. Jake agrees since Donald wants him there and mentions that it's been forever since he has seen Jimmy. As he was about to mention something about Forrest, Kingsley cuts him off and warns him not to do the same thing he did last assembly. Jake responds with a chilling glare and repeats that he said he'd go. Before Kingsley leaves, Jake tearfully asks what he thinks about Ace's death.

Season 2[]

Chapters 61 and 62
It's revealed that the ill-fated relationship between Hyeongshin and Ganghak wasn't limited to Grape being bullied by Wolf in middle school. In the past, Forrest had been beaten helplessly by Wolf after breaking his three second rule before Wolf joined the Union. In the present day, after losing to Eunjang, Hyeongshin has to report to Ganghak. Forrest, wanting to avoid Wolf, has Robin deliver the files instead.

At the Union assembly a few days ago, Donald, Kingsley, Jake, Wolf, Forrest, and Jimmy are all gathered at Yeouinaru Office Building. Donald announces Ganghak will manage Hyeongshin and Daehyeon will manage Yoosun.

Forrest wasn't expecting Donald to avenge Hyeongshin, but he expected even the slightest payback. Instead, this small punishment means that they aren't even worth his time and that Donald doesn't give a damn about them. Jimmy tries to speak up against it, but Donald cuts him off and shuts him down with a threat.

Donald orders them to come up with their own ideas or shut up and do as he says. He tells them to only speak if they can contribute and further insults them. After the meeting ends, Jake immediately disobeys Donald's order and tells Jimmy that he doesn't have to report to him and to just do things like he has always done it.

Chapter 100
Kingsley asks him why he called Jake and Forrest on different days, but called Jimmy and Wolf on the same day. He asks if it would've been better for them to come on separate days because they're both loose cannons.

Donald says he did that on purpose so they curb each other's mistakes. If he gives the underdogs a chance to unite, they'll grow and bite him, their owner. Arrows always tend to point at the higher ups. If he wants to keep them under control, he has to lead them to point their arrows at each other. If he leaves them to attack each other, then they have no choice but to rely on him. If they act upon their own will regardless of the outcome, he will give them another penalty for going against the Union's rule.

Either way, it is a win-win situation for Donald. Managing is always based on instincts. Just drive a wedge between them and make them go against each other. He just has to provide that opening. Then, they will start keeping an eye on each other and naturally end up fighting, which then will end in disruption.

Chapter 103
A year ago, Jakes tells Donald that he'll join the Union if he crushes Manwol for him. Donald agrees, but changes the order so Jake joins the Union first. Donald doesn't want to get involved without a valid reason, and it'll discourage Manwol from retaliating. Donald welcomes Jake into the family.

In the present day, Donald calls Jake to his office and asks about Kenny. Jake informs him that the reoperation went well and he'll be discharged soon. He tells Donald to cut to the chase. Donald orders him to take down Ben Park. Jake agrees without asking the reason because he owes the Union and has to pay Donald back.

Chapters 104-106
At Yeouinaru, Jimmy finishes talking to Donald and tells Jack that he was called in for no reason other than to be given a hard time. Jack mentions that he heard from Kingsley that Jake was called in a few days ago. Jimmy says he doesn't know what Donald is thinking, but that he will be done with this shit soon. They decide to smoke a cigarette before they leave.

In the parking garage, Wolf warns Jimmy about Jack glaring at him and then warns Jimmy himself. Jimmy provokes Wolf by reminding him of his defeat at the hands of Gray. Wolf warns him to not cross the line because he isn't a pushover like Jake. Jimmy says if they both keep their mouths shut and not tell Donald, they can settle things in a fight. Wolf agrees. Kingsley watches them from the stairwell.

Wolf and Jimmy fight with Jimmy seemingly having the upperhand at the beginning. However, once Wolf says it’s his turn, he quickly overpowers Jimmy. Jimmy is knocked out for a few seconds and Wolf asks him why he's just standing there and to come at him. Jimmy realizes that he will lose if he strikes Wolf again. He retreats by saying that it is enough for today and that he will finish off Wolf next time. Both Wolf and Jimmy learn a valuable lesson that day; in order to win, harsh and deadly wounds are inevitable. Kingsley realizes the fight is put on hold and the ending isn't what Donald is hoping for.

Season 3[]

Chapter 131
Jimmy Bae and Jack Kang (Kang Jeongyeon in the Korean version) attempt to betray Donald but witness the person they were going to join, Myles Joo (Joo Seungjin in the Korean version), being defeated by two unnamed fighters from Yeo-Il who have been sent by Donald.

Chapter 134
Every single member of the Union attends the Union assembly except for Jake, who is revealed to have been busy on a mission from Donald. After exposing Scorpion's betrayal, he reveals the Mok-Ha Duo's feats and promotion to the rank of executive.

Jimmy can't figure out and recalls when he and Wolf fought, Donald only gave the minimum punishment and didn't ask for details. He hopes that Donald doesn't know about his attempted betrayal, but Donald coldly glares at him. After the assembly is over, Dongha tries to provoke Wolf into a fight but Donald tells him to knock it off.

Chapter 164
Kingsley tries to convince Donald to have a conversation with Cheongang first instead of fighting. Donald tells him that Cheongang hasn't gotten over their previous victory, so they must show them their power in order to make Cheongang talk. If the Union approaches Cheongang first, it will show that the Union is in the lower position. Donald knows that it's only a matter of time before Changhui tries to take over Yeongdeungpo.

For now, the Union needs to strike first to deliver their intentions loud and clear, all while their movement is incognito. Kingsley realizes Hyeongshin and the Mok-Ha Duo weren't just scouts, but their purpose is to block the enemy if they try to move towards them. Kingsley asks about the guys outside, but Donald receives a text from Dongha confirming the Cheongang executives' meeting. Donald exits his office and tells Jimmy, Wolf, and Jake that it's time to head to Mapo.

Chapter 197
Wolf breaks the deal between the Union and Cheongang by hunting down and defeating Cheongang's Number Three, Giju Seol. He checks his phone and sees all the missed calls from Donald. He has had enough of Donald's money games and is done with the Union. He remembers Jake, who is always looking down on him, and Wolf intends on fighting him.

Chapter 228
After Hyeongshin and the Mok-Ha Duo lose to Gray Yeon (Yeon Sieun in the Korean version) and Ben Park (Park Humin in the Korean version), all of the executives gather in Donald's office. Donald is upset by the loss and tells them to not dare go after Eunjang again without his orders, particularly pointing Jimmy out. Jimmy mentions fighting again, but Donald hates the words “fight again” because it is pathetic for Jimmy to refuse to admit that he had lost.

Donald says there are no second chances because losers have no rights. Second chances are only given by winners in a special show of grace, which is why the fact that he has to accept Ben’s challenge because the executives lost pisses him off to no end.

Kingsley doesn’t think there’s anyone who can beat Donald, but considering how much Ben has grown, there might be an opening. If anything gets in Donald’s way, even if it’s a single fleck of dust, Kingsley will wipe it clean away.

Chapter 264
All of the Union members are attending Donald’s funeral. The only ones crying are Kingsley and Dongha, although it is unknown if Dongha is crying about Donald’s death or the loss of income. A brief flashback reveals that Jimmy’s whole “wagging wrist” thing was him copying Donald Na. Jimmy realizes that all he had wanted was for Donald to recognize him.

Outside, Wolf and Hwangmo are wearing suits and watching the funeral hall from afar. Hwangmo asks if they’re really not going to go in, but Wolf says it’s fine to just look from a distance. Wolf exhales his cigarette smoke and tells Donald farewell.

After the funeral, Jake tells Ben that Donald probably didn't think of this outcome because no human would calculate when they will die. Jake says while it may be hard for Eunjang to understand, Donald had been the dictator of Yeongdeungpo as well as a huge wall.

Chapter 265
At the funeral hall, Jimmy says that the mood is gloomy and Jack asks him if Kingsley has said anything else. Jimmy says that Kingsley will divide and distribute the remaining funds, and that Kingsley is acting like it’s some severance pay. Jimmy doesn’t understand why Jake is gloomy as well.

Jake and Kingsley are standing in front of Donald's and Sua’s urns. Jake asks Kingsley what he’s going to do, and Kingsley says the ending Donald wanted wasn’t this. He wants to maintain the Union for at least Donald’s memories, but Jake reminds him how Donald had disbanded the Union. Kingsley says that was his emotional choice but the Union is Donald himself, so it’s only right to continue it. Jake says that Donald wanted to eventually stop from the very beginning. Kingsley begins to cry again as he says that Donald didn’t want to stop like this.

Chapter 266
Wolf is sitting on a bench at a park. A flashback shows that Hwangmo had informed him that Jake has decided to leave the Union. He receives a phone call from Kingsley. The flashback ends. Wolf recalls the park being the location where he attended his first ever Union meeting.

Jimmy arrives and asks why Wolf is there since he joined the loser Rebellion. Wolf calls Jimmy a fly and asks if he wants to be knocked out again. Jimmy, being delusional, accepts the fight. Kingsley throws two bags in between them and tells them to stop and open the bags. They find money and files inside. Kingsley tells them to reorganize the kids and draw up a plan, saying that it was Donald’s final order before the Han River Battle.

A flashback shows Kingsley asking Donald if he seriously needs to do that, including Wolf Keum’s share. Donald tells him to just do it because Wolf is the only guy that can handle Ganghak. He says while the Union is reorganizing, he is going to gather everyone up again. Kingsley asks if Wolf really will bow his head and rejoin, but Donald says that if he says something will happen, it will happen. The flashback ends.

Jimmy asks if Wolf really is a part of it and Wolf tells him to shut up and collect the scraps. The two begin arguing but Kingsley once again stops them, and he says that although Donald isn’t there, his rules still stand. As he leaves, he says to stay put for now and to come to Yeouinaru when called. Wolf takes his bag and leaves. Jimmy picks up his own bag and notes that Donald is still acting like a king even after dying. He recalls how in the end, no one had been able to defeat Donald and now no one ever will. Donald has become someone who can’t be surpassed.

Chapter 267
Jake tells Dean that he’s going to be away for the time being. Dean asks if Jake has made up his mind and if Kingsley has agreed. Jake says it’s something that he had talked about with Donald last time. Jake mentions that Kingsley still can’t let go of Donald and is still digging up info about the day Donald died. Dean says that even if he does that, it won’t bring a dead person back to life, so there’s no point.

Jake says he always thought he was helping Donald, but now that he thinks about it, while he had been under Donald’s influence, Jake doesn’t remember ever once losing himself like he did in the past. It had only been possible because Donald had a firm hold on him at the top and it had been Jake who had actually been receiving help. Jake says that’s why, if Kingsley ever needs help, he plans on coming back when called. He says there will come a day when Kingsley will understand Donald, who did not know how to stop in his confusion and agony.

As Jake says his goodbyes to his friends, he says he wishes he could’ve also seen everyone else, referring to the other Union executives, but it’d be lame because they’re not affectionate people who’d warmly share their emotions.

Fanon[]

Fans sometimes write lighthearted fanfics where the Union executives are doing some shenanigans. With fanart, oftentimes Forrest is either replaced by Myles Joo (Joo Seungjin in the Korean version) who is his predecessor and the previous head of Hyeongshin High School. He was also someone who had been with Donald since even before forming the Union. Other times, fanart will completely not include Hyeongshin at all, excluding both Forrest and Myles.

In some Alternate Universes where the Union never existed, fanfic writers and fanart artists will have them as genuine friends, classmates, or teammates.
