UsaMako is the femslash ship between Usagi Tsukino and Makoto Kino from the Sailor Moon fandom.

Canon

Manga

Usagi, lost in thought, walks into oncoming traffic. Makoto leaps in and picks her up out of danger. She tells Usagi that it's dangerous, and to be careful. Usagi makes note of her rose-shaped earrings and her nice fragrance.

At lunch time that day, she sees Makoto again. Usagi is attracted by the appetizing appearance of Makoto's lunch. Suddenly, a stray baseball comes hurtling their way. Makoto catches it before it hits Usagi, impressing her once again. Makoto invites Usagi to eat a rice ball when she sees her drooling over it. Makoto asks if she knows any game centers, which Usagi is happy to take her to one.

90's Anime

On Usagi's way to school, she accidentally runs into a group of hooligans. Makoto comes in to save her and beats them up. Usagi is so impressed by Makoto's strength that she blushes.

Like in the manga, at lunch time, Usagi spots Makoto again, and is lured by her lunch. Usagi thanks Makoto for saving her. Makoto then offers to share her lunch with Usagi. Makoto is happy that Usagi wants to talk to her, because everyone seems to be scared of her. Usagi compliments Makoto's lunch, and is astounded to hear she made it herself. Usagi is quick to call Makoto her friend, and takes her to the Game Center.

One day a monster attacks Makoto's childhood friend, causing him to go to the hospital. He needs a blood transfusion, but they don't have enough type O blood. Makoto offers to do one since she has that type. Usagi offers to switch with Makoto if she gets anemic.

The next day, the five senshi try to run and find the monster before it can do too much damage. Sailor Jupiter gets dizzy, to Sailor Moon's concern. She says she thinks Jupiter is suffering from anemia, and should go home and rest. Sailor Moon promises to work twice as hard for Jupiter, because she doesn't want her to die. Jupiter thanks her, but says she must fight the monster. Sailor Moon makes her promise not to push herself too much.

Unfortunately, all the senshi are knocked out by the monster except for Sailor Moon. She becomes cornered by it, before Sailor Jupiter comes to and sees her situation. She attacks the monster, saving Sailor Moon, but she becomes incredibly weakened. Sailor Moon thanks Jupiter, and Jupiter says she is glad that Sailor Moon is safe.

Fanon

The ship sailed as a result of the two being some of the main characters and spending a lot of time together. Based on Usagi's reaction to first meeting Makoto in both the manga and anime, those who support the ship and even some who don't believe Usagi fell in love at first sight.

While not uncommon, the ship is much rarer compared to other Senshi x Senshi ships, and in general. The two interact a lot in canon, but are overshadowed by many other ships, especially their most popular ones, MakoNeph and MamoUsa.
